Unfortunately, after following your instructions, and the "uninstall" became available, and I clicked all necessary to "uninstall" it is still listed in the "Installed Apps" section.

@@HowtoWindows262 , I restarted. Edge was still there. I uninstalled again. Restarted again. It is still there. When I clicked on the Edge Icon, it opened immediately into the internet.
I have bad feelings toward Microsoft. Any more ideas? Thanks!
