Being a Grand Vizier was a really dangerous occupation in the Ottoman Empire.
Especially if you are ambitious and arrogant. All of the Grand Viziers who died, all of them brought it on themselves in the final analysis....
@@MrDarkweaver True, although it is always nice for every absolute ruler in every empire to blame everything that goes wrong on his grand vizir, chancellor or whatever the position is called
@@adamantu True, but a loyal and trusted Chancellor or Vizier is a huge asset. The problem with being the second most powerful person in the kingdom is that it tempts almost all of them to try for the #1 spot.
People who are not ambitious rarely rise to such positions of power.
@@MrDarkweaver True. And they can succed if they play it right. The Karolingians would be an example for that
@@adamantu Indeed.
Великолепный Метин с ним не кто не сравнится актерской игрой ❤️💋 эта сцена настолько мощная 😊😍
I adored this series. I’ll try and watch it again.
Did you notice the Sultan fought the traitors with the fountain between him and the traitors,so they were unable to rush him as they would have liked to .choose your ground and let them come to you
And here we see the longest and most powerful valide sultana!
Sultan Murad the last LION king of osmania empire❤
Sultan Murad 4, was the Reflection of Suleiman the Magnificent! But unfortunately couldn't rule the empire for a long time!
Suleiman, was not such a cruel ruler as Murad was.
@@ArianaGuerin-pt2bz The situation of Sultan Murad 4 reign wasn't the same as Sultan Suleyman. Suleyman was in the throne when the economic condition of the empire was so strong. On the other side when Sultan Murad 4 came for the throne then the empire was going to sink for corruption and poor economic condition. Sultan Murad 4 took back the glory of Ottoman Empire within a very short time. To do so, he needed to be cruel.
Genç yaşta öldü 28 yaşın da filan
He ruled for 17 years which is pretty long...
Amin
You talk, talk, talk a lot, but the end is always the same. You kill someone.
It is a pattern yes!
How many of you can predict the weight of Ottoman sultan Murad iv 's mace in this series 🇹🇷?
Comment it below 👇.
70kg
Hard to say. But I'm sure
it was made of solid iron.
Not as heavy as the heart of his sister after…
i have read the true history. From history i can say he was too strong boyh physically and mentally
I think he was.. but the picture of his brother Sultan Osman being mocked and tortured left a heavy toll in his mind and heart. I think he was kind hearted but the weight of being a Sultan plus the psychological trauma he endured was too much he can bear or probably anyone can handle.❤ the Ottoman’s.!
Love the hats.
a sultana looks and tastes like a raisin
No one is talking about the torture at the start
We need to go back to having titles announced prior to our presence… 😊
A puffy hat did not protect.
He's so badass..
Murad IV, executing his Sister's Husband, something Suleiman couldn't even bear to do because of his emotions and the consequences that came afterwards, Murad had guts, Suleiman was easily carried away by emotions.
But take into account the fact Suleiman was behind his son Mustafa's death.
the fight scene is ludicrous
I feel Sultan suleiman was the strongest Sultan....... Murad was fearless but at his time Ottoman corruption was rampant.... Pashas, jannissaries were more powerful nd defied even Sultan.
I wish Suleiman chose Mustafa then his bloodline would have been better than appointing Selim the sensual drinker
Mustafas was a traitor
Murad IV, the Killer machine, was born to Lead, Rule and Kill. He is courageous, clever and cruel at the same time. Unfortunately he died at very young age, otherwise he could have rule the world.
He can hold up with one hand a mace that it takes two men to carry. Or at least the two men act as if it's heavy. I wonder if this practice of the Sultan personally executing malefactors influenced Peter the Great. In the documentary about Peter, he was about to have treasonous boyars beheaded. His wimpy pious son told Peter that he, Peter, would not do the dirty work himself, and Peter took the challenge and beheaded each boyar. Turks and Russians were enemies who admired each other (same with Turks and Poles). Lots of formal gatherings, elaborate costuming, and stilted speeches in what I've seen of this series. A little too reverent. All characters behave as if they know their biographers are watching. Today's Turks must greatly admire the rulers from Ottoman days. Reminds me of how some British revere the royal family.

Avio.
That woman is supposed to be his mother?! She looks no older than him. 😆
people got married in early teens in the past
People in the past didnt live very long & so married early.
@@comradebear9477 Barring some plague epidemic, people's lifespan wasn't _that_ much shorter than it is now, at least not rich people's lifespan. Averages were skewed by the crazy high infant mortality, which now makes many people mistakenly believe that the average person back then would barely reach their 40s.
@@antred11 Didn't know this. Then why did they marry so early?
Awful subtitles
I AM MORE OF A SULTAN RATHER THAN A SULTANA IN THIS SERIES 😅🏳️🌈🇵🇸🇹🇷
Don't you wish the Byzantines won that war.
Looks pompous and boring.
