Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

I used to raise Bassett Hounds, so I'm very familiar with this, but what made me watch is the fact that we used to have a German Short-haired pointer as well, and this brought back some warm and fuzzy memories for me. These are GREAT DOGS to have, I think about that dog at least once a week. It's been 20 years, and I still grieve.

What a wonderful mumma dog. As a human, pushing out just one baby brought more than tears to my eyes, and I did that on three separate occasions, but can you Imagine what delivering 14 puppies did to Annie?
Her work has only just begun. I used to foster dogs, and on an occasion lucky to have a great Dane that gave birth at my home to thirteen puppies. What a wonder to experience, both birth and life

Now we have Bichons and Scubadude is our RUclips star. Helping us sniff down Jewelry finds. Loved watching every second of Breezes puppy birth! So special. Can’t wait to see more. Congratulations!!

I love these videos but I often wonder why the animals need help with delivery and cleaning. I would think they automatically know who to do. It’s kind of frustrating to see this lol I don’t know maybe it’s just me. It’s like the new babies are being touched all over before the mother can truly clean lick and bond with them. And the forcing of the puppies out like I said maybe it’s just me just seem like too much human contact and touching don’t seem natural but anyway thanks for the video

You are so right. I just had my first litter and it was my babies first litter. The first puppy she wasn’t sure but immediately after she knew what to do. I would say, towards the last pup I can see that she was getting tried. So to push the remaining pups AND clean, I did have to assist because she was very tired. Nonetheless, we got it done and the puppies are all doing well. But you’re right, this is a natural thing and the less hand on deck, the better. ❤

This reminds me of when my cat, Ava, had her litter of 4 kittens. I was so nervous and had read up on how to know when a cat was in labor. I had made a dark covered corner in my guest bedroom her den and she loved it. She started panting and licking away at her bottom. The first kitten was stuck in her rear. I started screaming cause she was running around in circles trying to get it out. 😂 My teenage son calmly bent down and held her still while he gently guided the kitten out onto the blanket. Then Ava immediately sat down beside the kitten and started eating the sack/licking her baby. By middle of the night, we had 3 girls and 1 boy. I immediately took her to be spayed once she healed. I just wanted her to have 1 litter to experience motherhood. I kept 1 kitten and named her Bella. I gave the other 3 away to friends and a neighbor. I had Bella spayed later on when she was about 5 months.

Fabulous! Breezy, Kat and Ethan -- such a lovely, informative taping -- great how you provide details on what helps Momma Breezy, the pups (clearing airways etc), and SO GLAD you shared this is only the beginning of the work so people pause and consider the commitment needed before going forward to have a litter with their dog. THANKS!!!! Great Job - video was also so well done including the editing and music. There is one and only one comment that I have that is other than glowing compliments -- this was such a beautiful video - wish there was no political ads in it - regardless of who the ad is for - for me, the divisiveness from a political ad is jarring and takes away from your magical, heartwarming video.

Over the years, I have helped whelp several litters of puppies. They were mostly small dogs who wanted to give birth on my bed. With some of the new mothers, I had to encourage the cleanup of the puppies. I have had to remove some from the sacs. It is a rewarding experience each time! I had two mommas back to back one time that took a total of 16 hours! I was exhausted, but I felt it necessary because both were newbie moms. Each one had 5. One was a very attentive mom; the other-not so much. Eventually, the attentive one ended up with all ten puppies who had the same dad...mothers unrelated.

    Thank you for this video.
It helped so much . I also want to thank you for sounding so professional which makes it very easy to continue watching the video the whole time. What I mean by this is there are so many videos on RUclips and people are constantly saying ummm ummmmmmmmm ahhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhh ahhhhhhh ummm the whole time every couple words . I understand and I get it that it's not easy to make a video because you might be nervous or something but some of these are so awful. So when I look something up and I find a video on it it's nice to be able to concentrate and pay attention to the video instead of being irritated and annoyed by those little things. It's just not the homemade videos it could be as much as lawyers talking politicians parents I mean you name it I just don't get how people can talk like that and be so bad and no one points it out to them. So I wanted to take a moment to point it out to you that I appreciate how professional you are and how well you spoke while you were doing the video thank you very much

It’s just something extra we document. It usually has no bearing on the puppies unless there was a birthing complication. @@monicataylor7871 my Siamese mother ate only 2 of 4. I don't let them et them all but I also let the mother guide as well.
Remember in the wild, the animals ate the after births were usually all eaten so as to not leave a meaty smell aroud/close to the birthing site-where the newborns are. The mother may not be able to hunt for quite a while and so this would be her nourishment for a little while. The placenta is also supposed to be rich in Iron which in turn helps the mother as well.
      Hope that helped.

My German Shepherd had 13 puppies . We didn’t know she was pregnant when I adopted her.. we took red police and put a red dot on the bottom of their front left paw of 7. One feeding she would feed 6 with no dot and we would bottle feed the 7 with the dot then switch next feeding so they wouldn’t drain our girl . Even though she was a wonderful mom and had the most beautiful babies we had her spayed so she wouldn’t have to do that again.

Heck yes, those newborn babies can easily find mama’s milk because their sense of smell is 10K to 100K times stronger than humans.

Watched the entire video three times. My little princess Kuma [shiba] is pregnant just after 1st period , 10 month age. Accident🙄 Took eye off the ball and Hay pesto Sasha got off with her. I am trying keeping all ready for her birthing process. What are minimal things I need in the box? She is definitely having three/might be four. ANY ADVICE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. that is if you find time in your busy schedule.

I was told never to pet the female while in active labor, they need full concentration. Also to be as quiet also for the save reasons as to not take correctable away. The labor becomes much longer and drawn out when you're doing that...

Any relief you can give to these animals is greatly appreciated by them. Knowing how many dogs and cats are routinely abused, neglected and discarded on the streets and in pet shelters makes me disgusted and completely opposed to seeing them bred while completely ignoring or standing in the way of stopping this tragedy. What this business is all about ultimately is about profit regardless of the suffering it causes, because minimizing the suffering reduces profits. The animals need a voice to protect them because they’re at our mercy, and since those who profit from them aren’t merciful or won’t do much to help them, I will attempt to by commenting here.

    • @kellytansy6850
      @kellytansy6850 3 года назад

I didn’t mean to say breeders are never merciful, only that there isn’t justification to breed when there is no happy future for all the discarded ones.
