Did a cover of this song ages ago played entirely with tapping harmonics. This vid here is a different, more "traditional" approach to arranging the song for guitar. If you know don't, this track is from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and it's called Great Fairy Fountain.

post raw or this shit fake
Something happened to you recently, you can see the progression into hating him in your comment history on this channel.
Oh, look James. You've got the first hater.
Congrats!
Stfu pls, I’m good friends with James and me and him get accused of faking often. I can confirm he’s just an insane player and this isn’t even close to the hardest thing he can play
Who hurt you bro this is one of the simplest things I've played on this channel 😭😭
That's the best sound I've heard from that TH model, got a real acoustic sound to it. Sick rendition man! Glad you got your first hater! Means you're doing something right! Lol
He even adapted Tim’s head turns lol
lol yeah
I thinks it’s actually like very natural lol, but I think it’s hilarious
The phaser on the backing guitar that kicks in is so dreamy omg
This is the actual tone i want to hear out of an electric nylon guitar.
U nailed the song too. Thanks James!
thank u brother
that warm tone yet so clear, share this tone asap bro! beautiful
Thank u bro the tone is just eq'd and reverbed di
@@jamesstentwhat's the eq settings?
The tone on that second melody is majestic AF
Thank youuu
Most beautiful? You mean one of the many. It's something that won't ever leave my brain. I love your tone and playing mate! Nice Ibanez too. If only I could finger pick lol
haha yeah agreed. i couldn't fingerpick like this either, until i practiced 👀👀
this is honestly really nice, this song was a huge part of my childhood, and it still influences me today.

thank u bro
It's spot on lol I need a gerudo valley theme in now 😂

Thank u and me too bro
I’m so excited I’m walking down the aisle to this version of the song:)
My favorite game ever. Period. OoT is forever burned into my memories, and in the most joyful ways. Even on the days where i yelled at it cause i just wasnt the gamer i am today. Ive built friendships and bonds with so many people over the years who share the same love for it i do. I think the Great Fairy's Theme really wraps that all up and solidifies what i loved most about OoT...the music. And to combine it with my love of guitar as well... I'll keep coming bacl to this video to study it and learn this for myself, and maybe one day, play it in my own way. Beautiful rendition of this masterpiece. ❤️
Oh man my childhood. My neigbours left for Aus and the dad left me his Nintendo64 before they left. School holidays was just me on Zelda lol
i'm glad i could make u nostalgic :)
It's so pretty. 🥺 I've always loved that song, and I love your rendition.
So gorgeous
Thank you :)
Shit's BEAUTIFUL
Amazing, love the countermelody!
Me too bro
Just bought the tabs, cheers bro
Sounds pretty good tho! Imo would be better if one of the tracks was aligned with the video since the hand slides of the video are not in the audio track but that's only my perspective. Still, great tone!
thanks my friend

@@jamesstent Tysm Ur the goat
dude this is so amazing, goes to show how the simplest things can be the most beautiful. btw as a classical player, your fingerstyle is really good, although it does not have the tone you get from the nails, its really clear nonetheless
Yeah agreed, simple is alot of the time more beautiful. Though most of my music isn't trying be beautiful and so it isn't simple haha
@@jamesstent lol but they are still beautiful though
this is amazing bro ur underrated asf
thank u my friend
I really like Zelda I met you on Reddit and I went to watch the video I'm learning to play the guitar it's one of the songs I want to learn, I really like Beatles that's why I want to learn how to play
I wish you luck on your guitar journey

Im crying rn
That is a very beautiful guitar.
thank u
Yeah..... i might have to buy a gutair really soon just to play this
fairy fountain
yes
amazing bravo!
I have a short question and a long one.
1. Where is the tapping harmonic version? :)
2. I don't know if this will make sense, because I'm not formally trained and haven't played guitar in a long time. I just noticed a few of your arpeggios have a big jump. In hindsight, would it work to arrange the whole thing further down the neck so you don't need the jump? Or does that ruin the lower parts of the chord somehow? To your credit, if I didn't watch you play it, I wouldn't have heard the "jump" at all. It's very smooth.
ruclips.net/video/wJJrEBXteCA/видео.htmlsi=1Uo_8SfSZ93L_hgS
the video is dubbed over so there are no jumping noises. that's the smoothest way i could figure out how to play the change
Amazing man 😎
Glad you liked it
I give you like a year max before ur Chanel is gonna blow up like ichika
i hope so bro
U deserve it man keep up the great work u are doing rn
Uhhh excelente! Please i need the tabs 😍😍
they're in the description :)
Tims brother lmao
Tab/chord reference? I would love to try this.. Or did you transcribe this yourself? Beautiful play thank you!
i transcribed it myself, tabs are in the description
@@jamesstent thank you!
Would you be willing to share tone presets if you use neural dsp? I play mainly nylon and love these tones. Cheers
I’m not using neural dsp, it’s just and eq’d DI
What is the name of this song bro? And loved the way you played it!
great fairy fountain from the legend of zelda ocarina of time :)
❤❤❤
thank u
I feel like there is ONE root note that you 'modified' from the original : at one point the bass usualy plays a F and you play a D. I don't know if you will understand which part i'm talking about but tell me if i'm wrong ^^ anyway, beautiful rendition !
Nope i'm pretty sure i transcribed it accurately, what part are you talking about specifically ?
At 0:12 sec, every time you fall back on a D while I think the original falls back on a F..at least, I believe so. But it doesn't matter, I think your version sounds good !
yes the bass does do that, but i'm not playing the bass notes in this arrangement just the harp arpeggios and counter melody. the bass notes in the original are a bit different throughout the piece and i've excluded them from this arrangement @@evaplavalaguna
It might be a stupid question, but just to make sure: isn't that the Tod10N guitar?
It is
sugoi fade
thank u
👌🏼👌🏼☁️⚡️
I'm just curious. How do you clean this guitar?
idk with a cloth
It sounds similar to the "gate of steiner" from Steins;Gate. Is it the same/similar chord progression or key?
Never heard of it sorry
@@jamesstent I mean you could try to listen to it bro 😭lmao

Hi tim
Hi DiproOG

why
the music would be the same no?
@@jamesstent u obviously didnt play the song in 1 take. thats what i meant
What's the arrangement?
wym?
do u have tabs for this
in the description
clean up that right hand position or you won't be able to play anymore in 5 years due to tendonitis
Call me a hater, but if you aren't going to play live then you need to make that loud and clear. A little note in the description and sheepishly admitting in the comments that, yes, this is fake, is insufficient. Your comparison between a live performance and an edited music video is specious, and you are deliberately misleading your fans who believe you are performing live. Yes, to musicians who expect a live performance, this is fake in the common sense of the word. I don't care who else dubs their "live" performances, because I'm not interested in subscribing to those players...because it's fake. You are obviously talented enough to play live, so why don't you? You are lowering the bar on musicianship, and you will find yourself with more followers if you are honest and perform live. Once musicians find out performances are edited, we tend to lose interest. The fact is that 99% of people will assume you are playing live, which is false, and they will only believe so because of the way you've edited the video and present yourself. You are better than this, and deserve more followers given your skill, but musicians can smell from a mile away that this is fake. No, a musician having a hunch that it's edited or dubbed isn't the same as the common viewer knowing. There is no excuse to mislead your audience just because being misleading has become the norm. It is cope to compare it to a music video, and to lie to yourself that most viewers know it's dubbed just because you stuck a little note in the description. If you can't play without missing a note or two live, then that's what real fans want to see. Real fans want to see development and progression; otherwise, how can anyone know what you offer that's different from any other musician? It's almost like you *want* to be obviated by AI as a musician. Please, for those of us who actually enjoy your playing, and would like to subscribe knowing we aren't being misled, don't indulge in this stupid fad. I don't care if Ichika does it or not: I unsubbed from Ichika years ago because everything sounds the same. Now every player dubs themselves to sound like Ichika and you all just sound more and more boring each year, despite the average skill level improving. Again, call me a hater, but the increase in the average skill level of young guitarists is real...it's just being outweighed by boring dubbed tracks that are all competing to sound like Ichika. I want to hear what's really happening, and the real skill level of young guitarists, because I am impressed. If you want to record studio tracks and release them as a music video, then edit it like a music video, and call it a music video in the title, or at least in the description. Here's why you and other players like you don't do that though: because you will get less engagement. You are getting extra engagement from people who mistakenly believe you are playing live, like myself. I've watched a handful of your videos now...only because I thought they were live. Now I realize they're just slick "music videos" that don't announce themselves as such, which is just boring and makes me think less of you as a musician. Please upload real, undubbed and unedited live performances for those of us who do actually appreciate your playing and how it could progress. I would *not* have wasted my time watching your videos if the comparison to music videos was apt, and if I really did know to expect it was just another dub. I'd have already subscribed though if I saw you make a couple of mistakes playing such dope licks live, because your tunes are really fresh and I'd know you were real. It's the mistakes that push the vocabularly of music forward, and allow opportunities for improvisation. Dubbing "live" performances like this removes all opportunity for your real musicianship to shine.
bro it's not that deep i just prefer the audio quality of dubbed vids chill out
