- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) (Filipino: Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas) are the military forces of the Philippines. It consists of three main service branches; the Army, the Air Force, and the Navy (including the Marine Corps). The President of the Philippines is the Commander-in-Chief of the AFP and forms military policy with the Department of National Defense, an executive department acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out, while the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs serves as the overall commander and the highest-ranking officer in the AFP. The Philippine Coast Guard also serves as an attached service of the AFP in wartime. Military service is entirely voluntary.

Marcos has so many plans for the Filipinos at that time example: Building bridges to connect Luzon to Mindanao. Putting trains all over our country and so many more. But when the Aquino's became the president we lost Sabah the corruption and crime became rampant (I'm not denying that Marcos administration have no corruption but it became much worse during the Aquino's) also Cory sold our military assets, and stopped all of the projects of Marcos.

Lower the price of electric bills and improve our infrastructure and transportation system to attract more investors, so we can provide more job for our people. We should also focus our budget on education and healthcare. We need a strong foundation, and that is education. Everything will just follows once people have knowledge and discipline. Once our economy became big, we can then put more budget on defense and other sectors.

Duterte so yuo' ll know the difference of each commander in chief handling of our AFP, before Marcos Na after Marcos, you' ll get surprized and dissappointed of what you' ll see of what had happened to our AFP back then and now.

Maybe true , not dissappointed with our AFP especially the ones who's engaging the enemy in the battle field, i' more dissappointed with those so called high ranking officials who got stained with the dark side of politics of our so called leaders in the legislative sector especially the senators and congressmans who are literally doesn't support the modernization programs of our AFP, and doesn't care of what our country might going to if we still not support any of our AFP's effort in modernizing abpnd up grading our AFP, in making sure our AFP can better defend and protect our country, from Internal and External treath we are facing right now., iim really ashamed of this high-ranking oficials and senators and congressmans who's not really thinking of our national security and survival, but only thier self- interest and future, and not our People and country.
Well, the previous and other administrations didn't put much effort to strengthen our AFP. If they put more budget on our defense and armed forces unlike Marcos administrations, China can't put up a fight with words. Now is different because of UN, no matter how many votes we receive, China will just "Veto" it as a member of security council. The only thing remaining is to strengthen our forces, which is the current administration is doing and hopefully will continue whoever will be in the next seat. Because when the worst case scenario comes, atleast we're prepared to face it. But then again, the inside local sector are also to blame which cut off the budget that should have been fully received by military assets.

our number of army personnel is not that much compared to other countries....but these few soldiers are snappy, effective warriors. and even our not-so-new equipment are effective in the right hands. with the addition of newly purchased hardware it just gets better and better! long live the AFP!

(2021): additional Black Hawks, 5 T129 ATAK (attack helicopters), the Philippines' first SBMS (shorebased missile system) SPYDER groundbased missile system, na binili ni Duterte sa Israel.
(First quarter of 2022) NEW TANKS.
- 18 Sabrah ASCOD 2 tracked tanks
