Thanks - yes, I was skeptical after 10 minutes and I refused to give up until I was satisfied even if it pushes the limit of the "10-minute" modeling challenge concept a bit =)

Thanks, yes - I need to practice these types of character a lot more but I feel like it could lead somewhere.
From portrait painting (assuming natural lighting), the hue shift for shadows is towards blue, and the hue shift for highlights is towards red.
