Hello @koldman. The gun is slightly modified using a longer thinner shaft that comes with the original. The weight is balanced by the camera and it's mount which is roughly at the middle of the gun.
@@davidsammutfishing6137 I haven't had a chance to test it properly because of the buoyancy issue. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and the design. I am planning to change the shaft to 7mm though
Thank you Youssef Hassan. If you leave the gun as sold without any modifications it is very well balanced. I changed a bit the set up with a 6.5 mm shaft and mounted the GoPro mount half way along the shaft. So I needed to add about 20 grams of weight at the tip.
@@davidsammutfishing6137 i see . I ordered it with a 7 mm while it came with a 7.5 mm. It floats terribly from the tip it even sinks perfectly vertically and stands up on its butt at the bottom!!!
Ciao Tommaso. Io non ho mai usato it roller. Mi sono trovato bene con questo fucile, Pero ho cambiato l Asta ha Una di 6.5 mm. Non so se questo fa la differenza. Grazie
@@rjfspearfishingtrip1964 I aim on the tip of the speargun, so I prefer a long shaft. Mine is 150 cm. The standard shaft of the Hero 105 is a 7 mm X 130 cm long shaft.
My spear shaft is 6.5 mm. It shoots very silently and fast. The negative is that if you are after large fish it bends easier and even if shot inside the rocks. If you use a 6.5 mm be careful to use a shark fin type and a good brand.
Hello.
Nice shots. Can you please tell me or send picture how you mounted go pro on speargun? I'm looking for ideas. Thanks
Thank you. The GoPro is mounted on a custom made aluminium mount which my brother did for me. It is fixed half way along the shaft.
Excelente 🎉🎉🎉
Hello, how did you add weight to the tip of the gun? did you stick it inside the muzzle?

@@davidsammutfishing6137 Thanks! I thought you had added weight at the tip. My hero is buoyant at the tip even with the factory setup.
@@koldmanHow do you find the gun? I find it pretty accurate and powerful.

@@koldman I had added some flat weights about 30 gems around the hole where the bands pass through on the lower part before I had the camera.

Thank you. Yes about 4 m.
Hello my friend. That was impressive!!
I wonder if you faced any buoyancy problem with hero gun ?

@@yussefhassan5223 try adding a small float at the tip to balance it out.
@@davidsammutfishing6137 no it is not sinking from the tip. It is floating from there
So add a small weight at the tip to make it balance better.
Ciao bellissimi tiri, io ho il roller sempre hero 105 e mi sembra che tiri davvero piano, secondo te è un problema di gomme?

First kill the fish, then you can roll it around for the camera.
Yes Igor you are right that is the best practice. Thank you.
