We had red lightning last month along with green and blue in Oklahoma. 116 mph winds downtown where i lived. It wasn't transformers blowing. It was the worse storm ive seen. It destroyed tulsa Oklahoma and much of it. I was alone too. 116-118 mph winds, i thought it was over.

(as opposed to 90% of lightning strikes being negative) Additionally when it strikes, if the environment is suitable for something about "microwave radiation" this ball of lightning could form. People have mentioned specifically kitchens seeing it come through the windows? It's also mentioned trace metals may be necessary for the environment. It was mentioned about a family residing essentially on a hill of iron, claiming to have witnessed it at their home multiple times. Ultimately, it seems to be a bizarre form of lightning trying to find it's homeostasis again. Extremely rare chances for the environment and the sub-environment to be suitable for formation. You see people speak about it as if they've seen it with their own eyes. But it's so uncommon and odd, I bet it's hard for people who haven't experienced to considered even believing it exists. I've never experienced this but it sort of logically balances out to me from all I've recently read about. What a wild phenomena! This phenomena could be way deeper too, considering the other newly discovered and widely unknown phenomena lightning sprites. Which form way way high into our atmosphere above the clouds of a thunderstorm. They seem to go hand in hand the sprites and thunderstorms, leading me to believe there's a whole system process going on above clouds influencing the weather we see below them. The ball of lightning thing may even be related with sprites somehow. Nature is amazing
My grandma and her sister claim to have had a ball of lightning fly inside their house and roam around for a bit before disappearing as kids during a thunderstorm. Sounds absurd but you really can't deny it as there are so many bizarre things that we know of but probably more that we don't. As for the red sprites, I saw them in Italy while I was there for a wedding when I was 12-14~. There was a thunderstorm reaching across a horizon of clouds far away despite the sky being completely clear above us and for a long stretch. In that massive cloud there was constant lightning shooting everywhere in a way that I'd never seen before; and I just chalked it up to being a more common phenomenon in warmer countries at the time, but didn't know just how rare what I was seeing was. There was a lot of red lightning, shooting both vertically and horizontally for miles, and it was both incredible and puzzling. At the same time we saw ufos over above the clouds; balls of light that were moving in complete synchronicity. I think there were three initially and one disappeared after a while. As they flew we thought it was planes or stars but it didn't makes sense in the way they moved. Upwards and towards us, but also backwards at very strange speeds. They slowed down and sped up to unfathomable speeds trekking across the horizon. Eventually they disappeared in what looked like some sci fi super speed whilst fading out. I might have made it sounds a bit grandiose, and my memory might be warped a bit as it's not something I often recall; but it did occur and surprised everyone who witnessed it. I think I've seen ufos apart from this, but the only other one I can remember currently is one I saw in 2019 around winter time, in the northern regions of Norway. It moved in the strange way the one back in Italy did, but as it came to a halt it started rotating or something very weird. It's movements were even stranger than the ones in Italy, by a large margin too. It gets hazy remembering the rest, but to me it feels like it was swirling within itself in a sort of galaxy shape like the missile weather phenomenon's from way back when before it assimilated and left. I haven't seen anything like this in real life or on the internet, and worst of all is that the person I was watching this with ended up denying this event after wards. We were both shaken and a bit scared during it, as it was happening fast and changed sizes, but the reaction afterwards as if nothing had happened was super odd.
When I was younger I saw a red lightening storm from my bedroom window and watched the entire thing. What was so interesting, besides the red color, was how fast the bolts came with no noise I could hear. Very cool
I had no idea this was an actual thing. If I saw this irl without this context I would’ve thought myself a victorian child and would be unable to comprehend what I just saw. Pretty sure people made myths and legends off of these natural phenomenons.
@@cianalcrez3693 thats the funny thing, these natural phenomenons and stuff are why myths, legends, folklores, superstitions, and religions even exist in the first place. in the past, sure it wouldve been fine if you believed in that stuff cause of the lack of science, but its crazy how in modern times, we already have scientific explanations yet people still believe in these ancient myths, religions, and stories..

Red sprites dont last for a few seconds. They last about a quarter of a second in the sky.
Even less than that I think. They had to use a high speed camera in an airplane for the first ever capture

Kind of like the equivalent of a solar flare from a sun spot. Only these are earth flares from an earth spot.
