    The Absolute Virtue boss explanation you gave was vague at best. Absolute Virtue was a secret boss that wasn't even known about for almost 6 months after the "Sea" endgame was in place, due to the fact like you said, it took 3 months to even get to the final boss. When you killed the final boss there was around a 20% chance Absolute Virtue would spawn, so groups struggling to even kill the final boss were decimated by AV (Absolute Virtue). AV then went on for almost 2 years being UNKILLABLE by anyone, I think one group were able to kill it after around 40 hours, but it was obvious he was way too overpowered. The devs made the video that you called "A running joke" was the secret to kill AV and was the ONLY reason people were able to kill it after. AV had the ability to use super powered abilities that each class had called "2-Hour abilities" (Like it says, it's a special ability for each class that can be used only once every 2 hours, the heal you mentioned was a white mage 2 hour).
    The reason the video showed the chat was because it showed how to cancel AV's abilities, when AV would use a 2-hour ability, the class with the same 2-hour had to use theirs immediately after to cancel AV's. So the video was essentially the secret that no one could figure out for 2+ years, not a running joke but a godsend. While i agree it was dumb how strong it was and how vague the secret was to defeating him, the concept was a new ingenious mechanism that no other MMO had out at the time. Even after learning the secret, defeating AV was daunting, but without that video it would have still been impossible until players were reaching level 85+.

    Listen, if you wanna go fight Deathwing head on, go ahead! He'll stomp your ass out. You said it yourself, he's the size of a fucking building. It would take all of Stormwind or Orgrimmar just to keep him housed. But if we went and fought him head on, think of it realistically dude, he'd just Cataclysm the shit out of everyone. Burning everyone, stomping on them instantly killing them, and eating everyone... Still wanna have your fight with Deathwing? The multiple stages and platforms of the Deathwing fight, made it so the fight would fit the lore, and would be realistic if something like that actually happened on a world called Azeroth. Sure in the past, they haven't been really focused on how realistic the game felt, but they wanted to make you feel that you were your character, and you got to fight the battle of Deathwing. The battle that would echo across the universe, where mortals and dragons teamed up to take down the Aspect of Death. That fight was badass, and I know several people would not like to go toe to toe with Deathwing, especially because every single final boss in the past, has just been a head on fight. I'm glad that they're were multiple stages of the Deathwing fight, it changed things up a bit instead of just clicking buttons and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. To conclude this rant about how awesome the final fight was, THE RAID WAS BADASS!!! =)

    As someone who played Final Fantasy XI and XIV, I have to say I don't disagree with your opinion on AV and Pandemonium Warden. In fact, I think the debacle around Pandemonium Warden was a wake up call for SE that putting in mean-spirited things like bosses that required huge effort to spawn, and which were realistically unkillable, but still encouraging your playerbase to throw themselves at it could have negative repercussions.
    However... honestly? It seriously hurts your credibility to have stock footage for the entirely wrong GAME.

      @saiyan_princestudios9790 5 лет назад

      Strongly agree. Zhaiten is the dumbest endgame boss of all time
      Luckily they learned their lesson and mordrometh in HoT and Balthazar in PoF are infinitely better last bosses of their expansions. And in the continuously updated living world we finally get to fight kralkatorrick the 3rd elder dragon and he is probably the coolest and best dragon fight in any mmo ever.
      So yeah, at least they learned and evolved. What a difference 7 years makes.

    • @saiyan_princestudios9790
      @saiyan_princestudios9790 5 лет назад

      DomSchu they actually had some great dungeons. The problem was the awards were mostly just tokens you traded for armor and weapon sets for that dungeon. So far so good. But they also had different paths you could take per dungeon, some really hard and some really easy. Problem is the loot was the same for the most part the tokens. So ofc naturally most people took the easy paths and missed most of the challenging ones. Except the few of us like me who did them all just for the title and achievement, but usually then we never did the hard ones again unless we were also helping a friend get the title too.
      Then they made fractals. Also good dungeons. But they made levels so it got progressively harder. A neat idea but a lv 100 fractal is still the same fractal you did at lv 10 or lower. It’s just more difficult. Kind of like wow mythic dungeons but a lot of extra numbers in between.
      GW2 biggest problem is the raiding. It’s only extreme hard mode. Which the no lifers love. But with no normal mode or easy mode like LFR it’s not accessible for 90% of the players. You can’t pug most of them. You literally have to be great at the game, get lucky to join a good guild, and then maybe if you you’re playing a class/spec they need flavor of the month wise you can raid.

    I actually enjoyed the Deathwing fight, but I'll be honest: I didn't do Dragonsoul until after Mists came out. But I can get why it feels like a let down. Madness doesn't capture the essence of 'this is a giant dragon' very well.
    Imagine if the Spine ended, not with Thrall FINALLY managing to shoot DW (should've let a hunter aim), but with Deathwing's wings being torn off without the plates holding them on.
    So he crashes, but instead of Madness, it's similar to Rhyolith's fight in the Firelands: DW is towering over the raid, each of his legs is a target, each one is stomping on you as you're trying to cut his ankles and tear the plates off his legs. He'll be throwing dragon breath at you during the whole thing, too. You finally get him to fall over so you can stab his throat and face and finally finish him off. (And because Blizz is Blizz, DW falling over will probably cause huge damage to anything underneath him. Better coordinate so you don't wipe!)
    Then afterward, while he's finally melting into a puddle after all the plates are off, Thrall and his dragon friends can do their laser-to-finish-him-off thing. I guess. Just so long as the jerks thank the heroes for taking down Deathwing so they have the chance to finish him off. (Because as much as I like Thrall, I hate it when the cinematics forget that 10~25 guys did the heavy lifting.)
    ...Well, that turned into a rant. Sorry about that.

  • @dmberreth

    I was actually really big on the lore of EverQuest. I played for years and studied it all the time, almost all from in-game resources. I loved it.
    Kerafym the Sleeper actually had a sort of interesting story. RUclips comments are too short to elaborate - but basically, in the EQ world, if Dragons of a different color mated, they produced overpowered offspring. Nagafen and Vox, blue and red, tried to remake the Sleeper, and were banished. Those are the first dungeons with dragons in the game.

  • @SokiHime

    In case anybody's somewhat curious about the FFXI bosses on this list:
    Pandemonium Warden changes forms multiple times throughout the fight every 25%.
    When he switches forms, there was a chance that he could Call for Help if there were unclaimed mobs nearby. This was a bug.
    That's the cause of the length of the fight.
    Instead of disengaging when he kept resetting, however, the linkshell fighting him decided that they were literally retarded and kept trying at an obviously bugged fight.
    As for Absolute Virtue: Its mechanic is basically that it can copy the 2-hour abilities of every job in the game; included White Mage's Benediction; a full-heal; making the fight last astronomically longer than intended.
    A player can stop Absolute Virtue from casting its 2hours if they use the coresponding 2hour. It looks something like this:
    [Absolute Virtue readies Benediction...]
    [White Mage player uses Benediction]
    Absolute Virtue's Benediction would never go off.
    HOWEVER, due to latency (FFXI servers were literally made of shit), the above interaction wasn't possible.
    Unless you were a dev using an in-house server. ;)
    tl;dr: FFXI was awesome in every facet but the actual gameplay.

    DW may not have been amazing, but dumbest EVER? No, not even close, especially when considering ALL mmo content and not just WoW. Heck, Poundfist is easily a dumber raid boss. He qualifies as such since a full raid will show up to defeat him, even if it's not required. This boss has such low hp that often the entire raid can't even reach him to get loot before he is killed. Worse yet is he can spawn out of phase with the raid so they can't even see him.
    If that isn't dumber than Deathwing, than the ELEVATOR BOSS easily takes the cake for dumbest boss fight ever. It's unkillable without exploits and doesn't even drop any loot if you do manage to kill it by crashing the server.

    For people wondering how the 24 hour bullshit is below Deathwing, DW was not impressive mechanically, and horrible storywise. The back fight was unrealistic in it's core, Maelstrom fight is just a pretty picture with cringe dialogue from the dragon aspects and nothing interesting happening, unlike LK's whole crazy resurrection plan. And the fight was hyped as fuck, especially after how LK was so good. For me the WoW decline started with the Dragon Soul.

      Sky Chaser Thank you for repeating the entire thing, like no one here has ever seen it. Even Ursoc is a better boss fight than Spine or Madness.

    • @KosmataBradva
      @KosmataBradva 7 лет назад +1

      Sky Chaser Point 1. Planet destroyer. While Deathwing should by all definition be a powerhouse, making his power ten fold just for the "end of the world" concept makes him very unpractical for combat. Ever since the beginning, everyone with half imagination could have guessed that his fight will ether include some form of deus ex machina, or be a huge disappointment. Point 2. Time travel in WoW is horrible. It was horrible in the shitty books, and it's horrible in the game. All CoT dungeons are amazing, until the Infinite dragonflight appears. Literally no one cares about them. Thrall's entire arc in Cataclysm, from breaking him apart to him being able to use the Dragon soul and defeating Deathwing borders what you see in a bad anime. No reason to talk about Murozond being a dungeon boss. I am yet to see someone defending that idea. The entire Dragon soul raid and dungeons work horribly, because they are a single big event, that is completely ruined by WoW's gameplay. How is someone taking DS' story seriously, when they have to make progression raiding is incomprehensible. Any other raid consists of a fortress that an army must push trough. With suspension of disbelief, one can make it up that the event lasts a week, if not more. With DS, that is impossible. In any other raid in the game i can think of a reason the group to stop and come back on the next day to finish up, but not with DS. Proof? What's the next raid after DS that had the same design of fast pased action? 3. The thing you jabroni don't understand (and i highly believe it's because you never actually raided that shit on progression) is that it's not the shitty story with low quality voice acting that is awful. The boss fights on a mechanical standpoint are. Defend the ship from Twilight's Hammer? EPIC! No, it wasn't. I was almost as boring as the first encounter in HFC. Spine of Deathwing? What exactly was fun about Spine? Madness was weaker encounter than some middle bosses in the game. I think half of every bosses in every raid in the game had better, more fun, more well though out and interesting fights from a mechanical standpoint from Madness.
      Calling Arthas' plan retarded just shows that you have not seen the subtle recognition Blizzard gave to the players. It was something worth a million times more than all the commander champion hero piece of crap they throw in today.
      Ultraxtion > Deathwing.
      Come at me.

  • @lucipher469

    While I agree, that DW, was disappointing, you have to take in to consideration his shear size. DW is just too powerful, and too large to tank. I don't care how good a tank's armor is, when the creature he is attacking is THAT big, he can't take the hit. DW would literally be able to eat every member of the raid, at once. But, he would probably just pick up each member one at a time in his huge mouth, and swallow them. OR, he could just crush everybody under his tremendous claws. That being said, Blizzard had to come up with a way of not fighting him directly, but of fighting parts of him. Personally I would have loved to see a fight where the dragon aspects, tanked, helped heal, and dps DW in his full dragon form. While players, (with obvious spell power and healing buffs etc,) healed the dragons and each other, while dealing damage to DW.

    To be fair, Spine of Deathwing and (Maw, Madness, u...M of Deathwing) were not bad fights in their own right. Spine was ridiculously hard and it was pretty cool that the boss was the arena. In the case of MoD, the fight was buggy and too easy for being the last fight in the expansion, but it would have been cool if it wasn't deathwing.
    My issue with that fight was that it did not live up to the hype, and I didn't really understand why we needed so many tentacles on a dragon.

    • @hybridpsycho
      @hybridpsycho 7 лет назад

      Overall I agree with you. I did enjoy the Spine of Deathwing progress, MoD was dissapointing but an OK concept for a fight. As you said as well though, it shouldn't have been deathwing. This could've been like another dragon where we managed to get the information on how to kill deathwing or whatever then a proper dragon fight.
      Also, tentacles because Deathwing was pretty much created (from the Earth Warder) by the old gods I guess, turned him crazy etc.

    • @danielskrivan6921

      Yes, but every other dragon that's gone crazy (before or after) has been a dragon. Onyxia and Neltharian (both the Vanilla and Cata versions) were dragons. Malygos was a dragon, as were those in Ruby and Obsidian Sanctums. All undead dragons from Kara, Naxx, or ICC were dragons. He was...special.
      Had it been another minion of the old gods, and not the end-raid boss of the expansion, it would have been a decent fight.

    Pandemonium warden is actually hard. The boss would change into many other mobs. It even transform to another raid boss in its final form. And its final form itself is a joke, where it would spam skill endlessly, with each skill would kill most of people in alliance. There are more than 18 transformation for this boss.

    As for the Deathwing fight, here is how I think it should have went down.
    First you fight him on top of Wyrmwrest Temple, as he flies around and you have to avoid his attacks and protect Thrall. Then he fights you somewhere in his Human form, then you fight him, face to face, in his Dragon form, his claws and face pointing at you directly on a huge platform/or as he lifts himself over a cliff, he is LOOKING RIGHT AT YOU and trying to KILL YOU. Throughout the fight you're trying to avoid him simply crushing you or instantly obliterating you with his fire breath and spells while the Dragon Aspects and Thrall help you. Ultimately, from a lore perspective, no, random hero #46724 and his buddies are not going t beat Deathwing in a straight up fight, don't even dare try to imagine it, Deathwing is just ridiculously powerful, much more so than anyone we've fought so far in WoW, yes even Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde. Illidan and The Lich King could be conceivably defeated simply by being hit once with a weapon, a really good shot could take them down or make them retreat, and in fact Sargeras himself was defeated in this fashion, but that's just not possible with someone as huge and powerful as Deathwing.

  • @pawkeshup
    @pawkeshup 10 лет назад +22

    Wow, um, as a FFXI fan, first of all, you're showing footage of FFXIV, not FFXI, at the beginning of the section. Second, it does have PvP, it's simply limited to an extra facet of the game as the game is primarily a party-structured MMO. As such, they turned it more into a sport rather than head-to-head PvP as many classes had no self-heal or damage mitigation and would be woefully unable to survive one on one.
    Third, Absolute Virtue wasn't a raid boss, get your history right. It was similar to the Crystal Dragon from EQ, originally it was obviously meant to be unkillable and only randomly spawned at the end of the Jailer of Love fight. Fourth, any spawned enemy could time out and despawn, that was one of the basic mechanics of any fight. Fifth, it wasn't Lay On Hands-esque. He had access to use any of the player's ultimate abilities, called 2-Hour Abilities originally due to their 2 hour cooldown. That included Benediction, the ability to regain full health. He also had the much more devastating abilities like Chainspell (insta-spell casting), Mijin Gakkure (massive AoE damage based on remaining HP), and so on.
    As for the long ass fight to kill Pandy Warden, the group that first tried it had no strategy and was very much unprepared for the fight, and therefor just tried to define a strategy. As you said, it takes a lot to get to this fight, so therefore, even though they were utterly unprepared for the fight, they continued to hold it in hopes of finding a way to win. The reason they said it would take so long is that they had no idea how to kill it aside from chipping its health down.
    The changes were because no one could determine the mechanic to get Pandy Warden to form lock as SE had expected. Admittedly, being one of the most tight-lipped companies ever (the video you mentioned actually does show the secret to beat AV, you need to time your 2-Hour to lock his, it was just very unclear at the time), it's not shocking that they didn't offer anything more clear. In the end, they nerfed for form lock and just have you burn down the boss while crowd controlling the adds.
    Seriously that entire entry on the list is utter shit. Please do your research properly if you're going to be commenting on a game you have, admittedly never played.

    • @darkaero

      Absolute Virtue wasn't supposed to be unkillable... He had a loot table since he was released which had the best rings in the game on it. The problem was that no one could figure out the proper mechanics because it was so different than any boss before in the game. The 2 hour abilities, like Benediction (which I have no problem with him comparing it to lay on hands, it gives people who haven't played the game an idea of how it worked) were meant to be locked out throughout the fight to where by the end when he had used them all and the group used the intended mechanic so he couldn't use them again then you'd be able to kill him. That's why they released that silly "hint" video, because no one was doing it right and people like you thought it was just intended to be unkillable which wasn't the case.

  • @InterestEPC

    Pretty fun watch. Also..
    On Kael'thas, I heard Hunters also were forced to level their Daggers skill to use the mind control-breaking Daggers.
    On Pandemonium Warden, there's some joke there about how it's essentially describing incidents related to playing MMOs for hours and hours on end condensed into boss form.
    On Deathwing, I agree that the encounter was a massive disappointment. While Spine was probably alright (perhaps it needed a bit more in the way of mechanical differentiation as the fight progressed), Madness was inexcusable in the sense it added the involvement of NPC "help" in the laziest way possible, essentially repeated an encounter sequence four times, had an underwhelming finish (both in the sense the last phase wasn't particularly epic and Deathwing's death felt so simplified). In addition, considering Heroic Ragnaros had a bonus, Heroic-only phase, I was surprised Deathwing didn't have this. They at least got it right with Garrosh though...

    unpopular opinion here, i like deathwing and his fights, they really did feel epic in my opinion. I think the main reason people hated it was the length of the patch and the potential for trolls (i.e turning deathwing over because someone wanted to sit on the side). Instead of rushing in and just dealing damage right in his face, you tear him apart, you get him to the point to where you can actually start dealing damage to his face by leaving, well, only his face. Considering he also needed two encounters to take down is pretty epic, and that you go all the way from northrend to the maelstrom by traveling (relatively speaking).

    Compared to the rest of Dragon Soul, Deathwing was a kickass fight. And really, did you want to fight Deathwing on some platform and have him swipe his MASSIVE FUCKING CLAWS at one little player and have that make sense? Deathwing was far too massive to just be some ground boss that goes around whacking players. The fact that this one boss took 2 entire encounters makes it pretty epic in my opinion. Also your wording is very misleading, you aren't picking warts off his back -.- You're tearing the armor from his back to get Thrall a clean shot which thrusts him into the Maelstrom, which is also a pretty cool place for a boss fight. Though I have to say, the Madness fight wasn't too impressive, especially at the end where you just stab his cheeks, so I'll give you that. The rest of that raid should've gotten all the bad criticism. Horrible no name bosses that nobody knew or cared about.

I watched them wipe over and over for a few hours, and then when it looked like they had the dragon beaten the devs despawned it. When it came back it had a nasty surprise: at around 70% it summoned a bunch of smaller dragons that almost instantly healed it up to 100% again while simultaneously wiping the raid.
    After that they tried a few more times, but it was just a joke at that point.

So Verant took him out of the game but left the zone as is. People still say they see the ghost of MIstmoore floating thru occasionally (unattackable), so a legend was born. I remember him as Count Mistmoore, but apparently that was not his name. I would have sworn ...

      ZoneX I agree defeating Deathwind in a normal fight would be the stupidest thing ever. I feel like it was the best idea for them to make it seem like you were fighting some one so powerful that you had to trick him into destroying himself. I'm tired of mmos trying to make players feel like the are the strongest thing in the world

    What's really funny about the dagger thing is that in Vanilla daggers are actually best in slot for tanks because of attack speed until you got thunderfury. I don't think people knew this back then because its pretty stupid that daggers would be best in slot. But since a lot of nerds have been playing vanilla for 10 years people figured that out.

    As someone who progressed through heroic Dragonsoul, and it being my high point so far in my MMO career... Deathwing was lame as hell compared to the other bosses. Yeah, the fight was intense the first couple times, and even more so when you were working on the hardest difficulty...
    But it wore off fast and got to the point where we asked, "Does anyone need him this week, or can we just keep working on the other guys and reset the raid?" Sadly, we killed him most weeks for the mounts. Only ever got the bastard on heroic in Mist's.

    EDIT: Kerafyrm was not the offspring of Nagafen and Vox -- those two were imprisoned for trying to recreate Kerafyrm. Thanks Xkallubar for the correction :)
    I was in the guild that organized killing it (Ascending Dawn on Rallos Zek). You're definitely correct in the resurrection strategy -- also, the server tech in those days couldn't even handle that many players together, so it was laggy as all hell -- approximately 10 seconds per action. It was painful.
    There's actually more drama about it being despawned; the devs claimed that it was due to a bug (lie). The statement from Smedley was that we were exploiting a bug where Kerafym was attacking an unkillable NPC (??) but that NPC didn't exist until the next server restart after awakening Kerafym. So, again, another lie.
    EQ also had the Legends server; a 4x subscription fee server where players got content earlier than other servers and also had dedicated customer support for immediate replies. One of the GMs on that server told a player that Kerafym was despawned because of upper management saying it's not supposed to be killed. No other reason, just that.
    That led with that screenshot of the GM tell going viral (well, viral for those days) and SOE had to issue a press release about them resetting Rallos Zek server so we could mindnumbingly bang our head against Kerafym for another 3 hours.
    Definitely had no loot. But he did give a faction hit to himself! :)

    • @xkallubar
      @xkallubar 2 года назад

      Lord Nagafen and Lady Vox are NOT the parents of Kerafyrm. They were plotting to create a 2nd prismatic dragon and were banished and warded to the zones where they now remain. Their father has been confirmed to be Dozekar the cursed, who is slain and resurrected endlessly for their crimes.

    Tanks did use daggers, Preach. And leveling a weapon skill is as simple as grabbing a weapon and going to Blasted Lands.
    Spine of Deathwing heroic was super fun and cool. It's the end of the raid that was evidently a lackluster, as you indeed expected to finally be able to fight the god damn dragon himself after you rode his back, not just his claws and jaw.

  • @dragonslair951167
    @dragonslair951167 8 лет назад +2

    Come on, the Deathwing fight wasn't that bad. You didn't need to spend hours farming weapon skills to kill him, he didn't have a laughably easy first phase that lasted 10 minutes before you could progress to the actual hard part, he wasn't designed specifically to be unkillable (and yet actually was killable because the devs made a hash of it), he wasn't just a standard mob with an autoattack that one-shotted you, he didn't require months of farming other bosses to summon, he couldn't heal himself all the way back to full health with but a whim, and he didn't take a full 24 hours to burn through his entire health pool.
    Deathwing was just another disappointing final boss to a video game, and there have been hundreds of those in MMOs and in all sorts of other games. He does not warrant a place as the dumbest MMO boss fight ever made. I can think of plenty of boss fights more poorly designed than Deathwing in World of Warcraft alone, and I think you let your disappointment with the end boss of an expansion keep you from making a well-thought-out and informative list.

  • @Skios
    @Skios 2 года назад

    Regarding the Deathwing fight. It didn't help that both encounters essentially involved you softening up so that the NPCs could strike the actual blows. I do wonder if feedback on the fight later led to the concept of end bosses having hidden mythic-only phases. Following him down into the Maelstrom to finish him off would have been a perfect fit for such a hidden phase. And yes, I know that mythic raiding wasn't a thing in Cataclysm.

    Disagree about EQ The Sleeper 100% - I think adding a mob which was only spawned once, and traveled across multiple zones crushing things in the normal world was awesome.
    Having a raid boss that went ACROSS ZONES and had actual effects on the rest of the world when he was spawned is something I would love to see in a game today (and yet is extremely unlikely to happen again, due to 'certain' fan groups thinking it was "too hard" or "dumb")

    Here is my envisioned Madness of Deathwing.
    Phase 1: As Deathwing lands Thrall, empowered by Therazane, creates a large stone structure binding Deathwing to the rocks, allowing us to fight his head, two arms and a mass of tentacles.
    Phase 2: Deathwing breaks free and chases us down a spontaneously rebuilding platform while we ride away dodging fire and tanking adds on multiple-passenger mounts provided by Neptulon as Deathwing destroys the platforms.
    Phase 3: We reach SW/Org and end him there.

    There's a mob in...blasted lands that you are supposed to use a quest item to break a shell/shield in order to do damage. You can level up weapon skill from this mob at level 60+ because he can't hurt you, or if he can, you can just run away and eat/come back
    yes it's annoying to have to level up unarmed and daggers and other weapons you usually won't equip (polearms, before UBRS) but it wasn't the end of the world

    I remember having that happen to me so many times. Not only on normal and heroic. But the most annoying shit ever, was after grinding the same bosses, and wiping in LFR for 3 hours at most (I am a very patient person) and then die MID FIGHT because of that fucking bug, and no one could battle ress me. And I had to sit there, and watch them either kill him without me, or watch them wipe again for 20 fucking minutes.

    Kerafyrm...now that brings back memories.
    By far the funniest part of that entire fiasco was the players who killed Kerafyrm set themselves back weeks, if not months, in progression to do it. The cleric epic proc was only a 90% rez at the time, if I remember right. That is, on top of the couple YEARS worth of work it took to do it, putting together all those cleric epics, and making sure nobody actually awoke Kerafyrm before they could do it.
    On the other hand, back when I was a guide, I got to witness what could only be described as an actual world war in EQ that kicked off in earnest because...a guild woke Kerafyrm. Good times.

    Then he literally overloads with his body's power peeling out of control, before crashing down into the Maelstrom, fusing as an avatar of energy, peeling out across the spire while you defend against his churning mass, knocking spire after spire out of the walls to crash into him, and chaining him down, before rushing in and weakening him to let Thrall walk up and Dragon Soul him in the face, while porting back to safety as the spires move up and clamp shut on the body, dragging it under.
