Establishing the run is what makes this scheme work. Play action doesn't do much to the defense if they don't believe you're going to run the ball. And when they sell out to stop the run, it opens up the intermediate and deep routes. Klint would need to adjust his scheme to accommodate more 3 receiver sets, but having Adams would force defenses to pick their poison.
