  • Amazing Street Blues Busters! Saxophone & Guitar
    Saxophone:
The saxophone is a family of woodwind instruments.
Saxophones are usually made of brass and played
with a single-reedmouthpiece similar to that of the clarinet.
The saxophone family was invented by the Belgian
instrument maker Adolphe Sax in 1840. Sax wanted
to create a group or series of instruments that would
be the most powerful and vocal of the woodwinds,
and the most adaptive of the brass-that would fill
the vacant middle ground between the two sections.
He patented the saxophone on June 28, 1846,
in two groups of seven instruments each.
The saxophone uses a single-reed mouthpiece
similar to that of the clarinet. Most saxophonists
use reeds made from Arundo donax cane,
but since the 20th century some have also been
made of fiberglass and other composite materials.
The saxophone mouthpiece is larger than that of
the clarinet, has a wider inner chamber, and lacks
the cork-covered tenon of a clarinet mouthpiece
because the saxophone neck inserts into the
    mouthpiece whereas the clarinet mouthpiece
piece is inserted into the barrel.
    Guitar:
The guitar is a popular musical instrument classified as
a string instrument with anywhere from 4 to 18 strings,
usually having 6. The sound is projected either acoustically
    or through electrical amplification.
It is typically played by strumming or plucking the strings
with the right hand while fretting (or pressing against the fret)
the strings with the left hand.
The guitar is a type of chordophone,
traditionally constructed from wood and strung with either gut,
nylon or steel strings and distinguished from other
chordophones by its construction and tuning.
The modern guitar was preceded by thegittern,
the vihuela, the four-course Renaissance guitar,
and the five-course baroque guitar, all of which contributed
to the development of the modern six-string instrument.
Electric guitars, introduced in the 1930s, use an amplifier
that can electronically manipulate and shape the tone.
Early amplified guitars employed a hollow body,
but a solid body was eventually found more suitable,
as it was less prone to feedback.
Electric guitars have had a continuing profound
    influence on popular culture.
The guitar is used in a wide variety of musical genres worldwide.
It is recognized as a primary instrument in genres such as blues,
bluegrass, country, flamenco, folk, jazz, jota, mariachi,
metal, punk, reggae, rock, soul, and many forms of pop.

I find it hard to listen to the soprano sax I think Kenny G set the saxphone back by about 1million years
he made it so so cheesy it makes you feel sick

    • @wrighthanded2083
      @wrighthanded2083 7 лет назад +2

connor eisenhauer That is 99% false. Playing like that takes YEARS of study of theory, studying important blues artist, and hundreds even thousands of hours of playing and practicing. The idea that that guy was just born playing that good is false and insulting to him, it completely negates all the work he has spent to get chops like that.

    • @renlongchen5919
      @renlongchen5919 6 лет назад +1

Let me tell you this, the level he's playing is what you can reach after you learn the blues scale and know the key he's in. In other words, sorry, he's not that guy who has the natural blues feeling.
