- This step by step tutorial shows you how to install a man weave! Products linked below.
Mac has worn his hair bald for about 10 years now and we ran into this man weave and man unit idea online. So, of course we had to try it out. We were about to head to the barber and pay $650 for a man unit and we said, wait a minute... let's do this on our own!
This was only our second attempt and we are so proud of it! It is AMAZING and looks so natural!
RRODUCTS WE USED:
Lustray Bay Rum:

EBIN New York Wonder Lace Bond hair glue:

Jamaica Braid hair:

SIX STEP PROCESS:
1. Shave the top of the head bald.
2. Clean the top of the head with BAY RUM.
3. Apply the EBIN NEW YORK WONDER LACE BOND lace wig glue and spread.
(Be sure to use the dot technique to ensure you apply the lace glue evenly.)
4. Lay strips of hair evenly using 2X JAMAICA BRAID.
5. Cut the hair using your clippers. Be sure to do this free hand without guards because you do not want to pull the hair or the glue. Also make sure the real hair and the weave is blended evenly.
6. Trim until you are satisfied.

Great job Fam! My wife hooks me up every 2-3 weeks just like that (better not piss her off or you be begging her lol). We already tried various units and techniques we learned through videos. Like us, you will eventually get your vertical bars (side outline) and thats when you will really be 100. Like both you guys attitude and breaking the stereotype. Yes sir my wife does mine as well
She cuts it then I go to my barber for the fade and edge. I gott tired of pay upwards of 275 every 2 -3 weeks for this. I'm saving so much money now.

I like the whole thing about this video. First of all, I love seeing a Black family!!! I like the fact that not only the wife wants her man to look good and to feel confident, but aides him in pulling the process off. Last but not least is that I love how confident he is in his masculinity to not only do it, but have it video taped as well. This video gets all types of thumbs up from me.

OK, OK, you guys are such a blessing you don’t even know. I am a 57-year-old woman who has been dealing with alopecia for many years. When a person loses their hair especially African-American it is a very very painful thing I don’t care if your man or a woman. We are sometimes ridiculed for weaves and man we’ve now and I have a problem with it. If women can have Weesie why can’t men have weaves?!? I have no problem with a man wanting to look better and to be himself. I do my own hair and have been doing my own hair.
Watching the two of you work together is so refreshing and encouraging. But seeing the different techniques that you were trying have been truly an inspiration. With Rona going on right now, we are not able to get out of our homes to go to beauticians and barbers so having you all testees things out means everything and please know that I so appreciate everything that you all are doing. I have the same done at my barbershop, only for me its just the hairline. I think its really cool that you put this on youtube because I feel like men should know that there are plenty of alternatives to hair loss instead of just going bald. So thanks for sharing

It looks fantastic tbh and may I say you are both great for helping eachother. One suggestion for your wifey is to bring your natural hairline on the sides around 1/2 inch lower and then put another 2-3 strips on each side so the top blends into the sides more. It will also give you a bigger fringe on the front boxing you off even more. That would look dope af mate

Great video. Excellent info/tips. For the next one try keeping the music a bit lower. Couldn’t hear you too well at times. I also love that color choice and hair type. You did an amazing job applying the glue, drawing the hairline, the laying down of the hair and the initial trim down.

I still utilize this video even to this day is very good I use the same type of hair that you suggested to making braids work excellent I was using Marley hair and it wasn't too good but it was working but you're making braids are much better.

Thank you Fam! We didn't use a scalp protectant but you definitely can. It will help prevent any irritation from the glue but Mac doesn't experience any irritation.

I was thinking about swimming
I have not tried swimming, but I would not recommend it. The glue may not hold while being under water for long periods of time. But if you do go swimming, let me know how everything turns out for you. Thanks - Mac
