Its stuff like this that makes me feel like at one point Megamix was just a fever port. I mean, 2015-16 is around when some of those Wii to 3DS ports came out right?
Interesting that these went unused, considering that Fever introduced demos that were meant to make the games easier to understand. The 3DS also had a large userbase of younger kids, so this would have been a nice accessibility feature to have. Considering that these are (mostly) fully coded, they probably got decently far too. Makes me wonder why they were scrapped.
Yeah well idk either, it probably would’ve been useful only to kids or to people with a sense of rhythm equal to 0, because those tutorials are pretty easy to understand themselves
It’s likely because they expect you won’t need them by the time you get to heaven world and the shop games. You have to gain enough skill to get to heaven world, as you have to pass plenty of minigames. Plus you have to get perfect on minigames to access the shop ones.
Bro when I got to Lockstep I couldn't complete the tutorial and I realized there was no help screen for this so I had to skip, but later I was able to get superb.
With lockstep it is self explanatory but I got stuck on the cure for switching from backbeat to normal beat- I got it after a bit obv but it wasn't as obvious to me as the one for switching from normal to backbeat
I think that if the player fails the patterns three times in a row during practice, the target count should be increased by one. Meaning that regardless of the number of attempts, at least 25% accuracy is required to pass the practice.
You would need a cap on that that's not too high, otherwise if the practice has multiple steps and the player is stuck on a step that's not the final step and can't get it for a long time, it'd be very frustrating to do the pattern so many more times. I don't think you should demand perfect 25% accuracy, it wouldn't be very fun to deal with at all. (This was written with the assumption that a player is stuck on a game with no help display, if every game that has practice has help display, then demanding 25% accuracy should be more or less acceptable.)
