@@BruceMyers-ov3dg thanks for the question Bruce. Using masking tape in a painting like I did, is a matter of personal choice. If your goal is to create a more contemporary edge to the painting, then I would say go ahead and do it. The hard edges will definitely add a more abstract, contemporary edge to the work.
