Firstly, you never gave the impression that your channel is all about travel. From the get go your channel is really about everyday life and that includes you travelling or even having the bad times. Your channel is AUTHENTIC Lydia and that is why we keep staying. When we log on to RUclips we want to escape our own reality (or schedules) just for two minutes and into the reality of someone else, that entails being real. We engage content we can relate to!! Like you mentioned, people who were at the party were happy to see you are cool in real life. I wouldn't have ever thought otherwise because that's not the vibe you give at all.

I don’t agree with the individual who stated about you being in “hardship”(I am not sure what they are referring too) nor do I think you have over shared with us. Perhaps you have displayed some frantic anxious energy at times. But what I will say, is at time you do bring a lot of your disarrays to the forefront without explaining what may have happened (Which you have every right not too) which can leave your viewers feeling anxious and confused as they maybe concerned about your state at the time and wondering what could have caused such an outburst. It would be best to leave such moments off screen until you are in a better state of mind to share (if you are happy to do so). It’s not about being unauthentic, it’s about being considerate to other people’s mental health and wellbeing. Screaming and crying and not giving some form of context as to what may have caused the emotional breakdown in that time frame, may leave your viewer confused and concerned. Lydia’s Volgs are always 10/10 and on point her energy is upbeat and personable but I think I noticed an anxious shift in her energy after the completion of her home renovations. And at times I had to skip over a few parts or just live the room for a bit. (No One is always going to be happy, happy, joy, joy all the time and we all have our down times) I love that she shares both her wins and shortcomings and how she overcomes. (It would be great if content creators would be more mindful of their viewers mental health and wellbeing) We all went through a massive mental shift in 2020 and alot of us are more sensitive to sensing energy and emotional changes in both ourselves and others. Lydia’s Volgs are always 10/10 and on point her energy is upbeat and personable but I think I noticed an anxious shift in her energy after the completion of her home renovations. And at times I had to skip over a few parts or just live the room for a bit. (No One is always going to be happy, happy, joy, joy all the time and we all have our down times) I love that she shares both her wins and shortcomings and how she overcomes. (It would be great if content creators would be more mindful of their viewers mental health and wellbeing) We all went through a massive mental shift in 2020 and alot of us are more sensitive to sensing energy and emotional changes in both ourselves and others. In no way was my comment made to insight negativity. I don’t think she needs to rebrand or make changes to her content just because an individual made a statement.
I will be real as a silent supporter that shows up every now and again. The reason I’ve followed you since Japan days is because you’ve been real. You give me realistic. I feel like people are not comfortable with the nuances of life. You can be super blessed and positive and still be down about the messed up crap that happens in life. Holding the tension of both is hard for most people.

I wasnt gonna say anything as most people have covered it already, but I've followed you from way before you quit your job so thought its only right I help fill your cup too. Authenticity is the only way to live a life that you can be proud of, and that inspires others to do the same. What you do and share is exactly that, and by doing that you show others how to accept themselves and also go after their dreams. How someone else receives your authenticity is not your responsibility, it's theirs. If they're looking for constant comedy or positivity they can put on a tv show. You're intentionally not feeding into the toxic parts of social media culture where many pretend or show only what they think is 'perfection' because perfection doesn't exist, and in the end I truly believe it's only those that are real that will continue winning. I think we got to stop thinking lows are negative. It's a part of life and your showing us part of your life so its only natural that we will see some downs and ups on your vlogs. As a recent subscriber I haven’t gone far back in the vlogs as yet to see the wedding content but I do feel like I’ve watched enough to disagree with the comment. I watch a lot of vlogs…. Alottttt. Your channel is one of the best in my opinion. You show up as yourself and that comes across beautifully on screen. I don’t think you should curate the content to just show the ups. If people only want to see when you’re happy they can watch your holiday vlogs but a weekly vlog is just that…it’s going to show what happens during the week! Not everyday will be a great day.
