I honestly miss art school so much; the space where you're able to freely create and just hang out in with friends is something that I really miss and your videos always bring me back to that happy place
I just love that in art school you can just go get a coffee barefoot and with your clothes full of paint and clay... and no one cares, they just be like “yeah... that’s normal here” because it is normal to have messy clothes and i wish my high school was like that... one day i went to school and I didn’t realize my pants had paint on them (not too much paint, just a little) cuz i was finishing one of my paintings during that weekend... people made fun of me cuz i had paint on my pants ;-; Now i just don’t care anymore :D

i don't even know how to begin describing watching your video (especially this one) now when we are live in such weird times and it reminds me of how much life can be once this is all over - making art, singing with friends and having a glass of wine down the streets. thank you for you and the beauty and comfort you give us in these times :')
I would really love a video where you talk about your style icons, and people and images that inspire your fashion!! LOOOVE your channel btw, ur videos always make me feel so calm!
I feel some type of melancholy while watching this.. I’m an artist and don’t have enough time to dedicate to my art, I’ m studying finance instead. God I wish I was an art student in Paris
Shayna, this is the absolute sweetest vlog! I moved to Paris in march right before the confinement started and have been re-watching your videos throughout as a lovely little taste of what's frustratingly right outside but inaccessible right now. This video makes me so so excited for tomorrow, I know it won't be exactly the same, but I can already feel everyone letting go of some tension. Beaucoup d'amour from the 16th!!
ooh the 16th is nice!! I used to live there on avenue victor Hugo :) Well the deconfinement was today, I hope you have been enjoying life outside more!! love to you
Wow. I live in South Italy, so it's not exactly the centre of the world. Watching your video makes me dreaming, even if just for some minutes, about living in Paris and having a life like yours. Thank you for this video.
@@aliceshaw6010 Why so triggered? :) I'm hardly spreading negativity. I find excitement and joy in life constantly. It's a different kind of experience after you leave the structure of school where you are around peers with similar goals as you. Simple fact, so I am encouraging her to enjoy it. I'm guessing you have your own issues you're projecting here.
as an art student (from new zealand! hi!) stuck in lockdown seeing the little exchange you had with your studio classmate made me so sad :( i miss the little visits we pay to each other and check in on what others are doing and have a little conversation - i think it is what nourishes our creativity and I really miss being able to do that in studio spaces while also respecting that everyone is in their own mode of creating. It is just something really unique to the art community and people don't realise how much we gain from having studio access and other artists to surround us T-T i miss studio so much
This whole video gave me so much joy that the while day I was just so happy and you’re art is so amazing I wish my art looked that good!! You literally have my dream life!!!!!
Love to see every video again how you're just doing your things how you like it and in your style. It just makes me so happy to see you living your life so happy (with exceptions ofc). I watched one of your videos for the first time last year and you gave me the idea to start planning my future. I thought I would go back to the city I was born in and go to college there. But you gave me the ideas to go further than that. To already move to a foreign country for college. So thank you for showing all of us your life. Now I can't stop dreaming about my (future) life :)
I wish I lived in a country like this... Paris looks so nice and people are actually loving and caring and they do not seem to brag with their expensive watches and cars... and they also dress nice.
My friend didn't have the same experience. She moved from Italy to France and people bullied her so badly that she had to move back to Italy. I guess it depends on where you move in France.
There are a lot of places that are like that although with paris it is extremely romanticized. Most areas in france aren't like that (unless you have quite a bit of money)
as a french person, many parisians especially in this part of the city or art students are mean, super competitive and many parisians do care about expensive stuff (basically to have an appartment in paris you have to pay a tooooon of money) they're also known for being not super nice and friendly, not smiling and not caring. Of course not all of them are this way but in my opinion and my experience with parisian friends I find them a bit selfish and show of people. That's an edited videeo, very well edited btw but she can show whatever she wants in this and make it look romantic. I wouldn't even tell how many sexual assault there is every day in paris, racism or harassment for anything.
I live in Paris and I can confirm that what she shows in the video is not the reality... I mean yes Paris is beautiful with an amazing architecture but people are very narrow minded, selfish and they do want to show their money. Obviously every Parisian is not like that but the majority is not nice with strangers
Just to let you know your videos during this quarantine have really helped me stay positive and encourage me to be more creative and actually improve my French! I love your content so much.
Other than the living in Paris part, I’ve never related to someone’s vlogs as much as I do rn! From the dancing and singing in and out of the studio, to the overall vibe, and the film style
Hey, Shayna! I really want to thank you for all the effort you put into your videos, they always make my day better. Your art is so moving and inspiring, it means the world to me. You even inspired me to create my own youtube channel during quarantine hahaha, thank you so much!

Hi Shayna, I'm a Malaysian who've just made the big move to France earlier this year to work and be with my fiance in the Burgundy region. I'm also in the creative field (animation and trying to draw a graphic novel) and continuing to learn french daily but I have a long way to go. Have been following your vlogs for a while and it's been so helpful! Hope I can give you a drawing one day as a thank you for all the helpful tips. I've never been around Paris in spite coming to France for about 3 times now and settling here but maybe, hopefully, one day. Cheers!
Whenever I watch your vlogs and you're creating, it inspires me so much! especially when you work with different textures and colors. Can you recommend any materials to play with for someone that needs to get their creative energy out, but isn't a real artist? (Although we are all artists in our own way, no? ;-) ) For example, that foam stuff intrigues me!! I dunno... any ideas welcome!! Love you and your videos!

Hi, I just felt the urge writing this comment while watching your video hehe, so... First off, I'd like to say that I'm an aspiring artist, I'm still learning different techniques and finding my art style but I'm hopefully getting there. I'm almost 15 and about to start highschool, not an art one unfortunately. I feel like it is mostly because I feel like I'd let my parents down enrolling into anything but a mathematical school although they are supportive of my art hobby. Anyway, I definitely want to go to an art or design college after highschool and, even though it's far away, my dream has always been studying outside of my country because there's not a lot of job opportunities where I live unless you become a doctor, lawyer or anything similar. Of course, I don't want to do something because of money and feel unhappy doing it, but I'm kind of unsure about further education abroad. There's plenty of time for me to make my decision, perhaps I won't even chose any art form as a job later on, but I feel like something could hold me back moving my entire life to a different country, preferably France (your experience is giving me motivation to pursue my dreams, I also heard they have excellent art and design schools.) So yeah, I'll see where life takes me later on, merci beaucoup for sharing your experience with all of us, your subscribers, and wish you the best!!!
Omg we are so similar first I am also 15 about to turn 16 in a couple months but I also agree with what you said I am also trying to find my own art style I have done watercolors acrylic paint sketching drawing and nothing really has been something that is truly what I think is my favorite but my parents have also supported me through my art hobby I am very thankful for that since other people their own parents would want them to be in a perfessional job or something that they will be financially supported but I think your job should be something you love to do for the rest of your life I also want to go to a art college I have been thinking of an art college in Chicago since I live one hour away but sorry about telling you my future plans haha but it is cause my friends are not really into art things so I can not relate with anyone else 😊
