Koonin is the voice of reason in the climate discussion.

Funny thing is that although CO2 is rising since 2015 the global average temperature has been dropping, NOAA data.

With the benefit of hindsight a lot has happened in the last several years since this lecture. They are:
    1. The IPCC has been totally discredited on multiple occasions.
    2. The models base their trajectory on CO2 controlling the temperature. Bad mistake as they all run hot and have been proven false.
    3. The models were never certified as they never matched reality. If the models are always wrong and have never been certified as representing reality then they are just a very expensive party trick and should never be used for any decision making.
    4. Renewables have devastated economies with Europe in energy crisis and Sri Lanka starving.
    5. It has finally been admitted that the only way to reach net zero by 2050 is with nuclear.
    6. CO2 has been totally vindicated and continues to be a trace gas that is essential for all life on Earth.
    7. The climate cult responsible for the largest scam in human history and the largest transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class to the renewables billionaires have yet to be jailed.
    8. The political class and the fake scientists falsifying the data have yet to be held to account and removed from office.
    9. Steve Koonin has since written a book that confirms the climate cult scam.

In the UK, decades ago, botanist at the University of Lincoln, David Bellamy was right. CO2 is greening the world. Benefiting the biosphere and humankind. Rising Carbon Dioxide is Green and good!

Fantastic to hear a real clear headed scientist talk about realisticly about climate change. I am deeply impressed. I am feed up by Thunberg, name calling, false anecdotes about polar bears and hurricans.

@@-LightningRod- Thunberg offers the emotional case.
Whilst the emotion side is important, it is not scientific fact.
Unfortunately those that believe in science through emotional believe in 6000 year creationism or and flat earth.
I don’t think your the type. Science should be absolutely rational.

I'd say that electric is prohibitively expensive & will clearly hurt & jeopardize the welfare of poor folks. It will be like a mortgage payment. Even with natural gas, coal, hydro, nuclear it is not cheap so if you reduce it to just solar/wind lots of people are going to perish. The good news on home heating fuel is that if you look at the globe, most populations lie either at the equator, the islands, the subtropics, or warm temperates. It's only the polar regions which have low population & the upper temperates which will have a seasonal cycle that rely on heat.
