Episode of the series ANDO EN BUS (narrated trips on intercity and international buses) with the VIA TAC / VIA BARILOCHE service on the Neuquén - Temuco route. It is a trip of about 12 hours by route, crossing the beautiful Andes mountains from Argentina to Chile through the Pino Hachado Pass.
The trip begins in Neuquén, capital of the province of Neuquén, and one of the largest metropolises in southern Argentina, with a large oil industry. The bus passes through the Argentine pampas, steppe areas due to a cold and windy climate. We pass through some cities until we begin to cross the Andes mountain range, where the landscape changes, there is more vegetation and we see snow along with araucaria forests, ancient trees.
El Paso Pino Hachado is about 1,900 meters above sea level, in this environment of mountains and araucarias. It is one of the most beautiful bus routes in Latin America. In Chilean territory, the bus goes down the mountain range, bordering the Bio Bio River and the Lonquimay River, in addition to having beautiful postcards of autumn. The landscape in Chile is different: forests, fields, rivers, volcanoes. We passed through Lonquimay, Curacautín, Lautaro, and arrived at the capital of the Araucanía region, Temuco, another of the main cities in southern Chile.
The trip was made in unit 59952 of VIA TAC / VIA BARILOCHE, Marcopolo Paradiso 1800 DD New G7 double-decker bus, with Scania K400 chassis and plate AD967ES (2019), with Semi Cama and Salon Cama (Cama Ejecutivo) seats.
