My father passed few years ago. It was our favorite band. This song was our favorite. We listened all the songs very loud. And now when I hear Кино songs, I sing so loud and cry so hard. I don't have anybody to listen russian songs with. I hope my father listens and sings together with me. God bless you people.
Sorry to hear that ... as this goes so deep inside ... however it’s great to learn that there are similar souls out there ... so when you listen just imagine he and me will listen too ... take care ... my favorite btw is „Peremen“ from the Assa Movie Album
I Was in Saint Petersburgh last month, walking in the midnight beside Neva river I could heard a cover of this song from an awsome guys; few persons, a girl that stoped to danced like in trance, a drunk couple that danced like they were alone in the world and me (with tears in my eyes) were listening this amazing song. Hundred of persons walked away without feel this desolated and beautiful riffs. I can't believed.
Awesome song. I've started learning Russian and hopefully one day I'll be able to understand awesome Russian songs like this one without having to look at translations :)
Blood Type It's a warm place here but the streets Are waiting for our footprints Star dust on our boots sparkles and shines There's a cozy armchair with a checkered blanket The trigger hasn't been pulled in time Sunny days... in dazzling dreams My blood type is marked on my sleeve, My ordinal number is marked on my sleeve, Wish me luck in the fight, So I don't stay here in the grass Wish me luck... I can pay, but I don't want a victory at any cost I don't want to put my foot on someone's chest I would rather stay here with you, Just to stay here with you, But the star high in the sky is calling me on my way... My blood type is marked on my sleeve, My ordinal number is marked on my sleeve, Wish me luck in the fight, So I don't stay here in the grass Wish me luck...
I'm English and I've just started listening to Kino after discovering them after listening to Glukoza (song from GTA IV) and I have to say they are an incredible band even though I don't understand the lyrics. This one kind of reminds me of the opening theme of Scarface although I know they don't sound exactly alike it was just what popped in my head on the first listen through. So glad RUclips directed me here!
Hell yeah, I'm Danish and I listen to Kino all the time. It's a very powerful band, and Gruppa Krovi is a very powerful song. Tsoi wote it as a metaphor for the Soviet/Afghanistan war where the blood types was on the soldiers sleeves, in case they were injured and needed blood. "I don't want to set foot on the chest of anyone. I'd like to stay with you, - Just stay with you, But high sky star calls me to way." The high sky star is obviously a metaphor for the Kremlin sending people to war.
not at all. Tsoi never sang about Afganistan. It's like about his song Changes. In English we translate Changes, but in Russian it's breaks between classes in school.
GRACIAS
@erutanr if you could read in Russian you'd find that 99% of "Kino-likers" are Russians. 100% of them do not like, but LOVE Viktor Tsoi. Our legend and soul.

Only 28 years old. RIP Viktor.
Along with Joplin, Hendrix , and Cobain too, ( others too likely, can't remember now) give or take a few months. 27-28 is fucking cursed.

Hell yeah me too. Keep going! :)
выучил, друг?
Желаю тебе удачи в битве

*sigh*
I guess now I have simultaneously become obsessed with Russian literature and Russian music, I’m going to have to learn Russian.
