  • Hair is hair! Family genetics don’t play a factor because each family member can have a different hair type and hair growth speed.The best thing you can do is use twelve12 products to clean your hair, maintain moisture balance, and keep your hair strands strong so you can retain length!Did you see how moisturized her hair was after the shampoo and before I applied the conditioner to her hair???Thank you to my client @_lexche (instagram) for visiting our twelve12salon to style her hair! ❤️#shop 12haircare.com or book 12salonpro.com

    True. Not mixed. From little hair at birth, to halfway down my back to bald, medication, to weave, bad idea, to shoulder-length, and working on going to halfway down my back again. Truth, less manipulation, the better. I use your products and ❤❤❤ them.😘🙌🏽

    I mean its nice if you can do those things...i wish i could just "leave my hair alone" but if i dont manipulate at least 3 times a wk it looks terrible...it may be because im post menopausal also.

    so many people are convinced Black hair needs complicated routines to thrive and it doesn't. Easy routines can look different for everyone but it always boils down to being gentle when you detangle, detangling with care, keeping it moisturised and low stress styles. Once you figure that out its smooth sailing. Long hair naturals typically don't have crazy routines. Its like people who only walk to lose lots of weight and maybe its not as fast as high intensity workouts but progress and consistency adds up and maintaining walking vs high intensity workouts is easy.
    Once you figure out your hair, you won't need to do anything crazy to get and keep it long. Know i understand my hair its not difficult to keep it long. I also "do nothing" which means my routine is simple, nothing ever changes and i've been doing it for years because it works.

      A lot of carribeans/ Africans have past shoulder length 4c hair.

      true and even with that many of us still struggle with our hair. The difference is knowledge. When i figured out how to get and keep my hair long the genetics warriors showed up. Genetics and background doesn't matter if you damage your hair faster than it can grow and i did that for years. I have a finer hair strands so my hair can break out easily and if my hair isn't moisturised and i over manipulate, it simply falls out. If my hair is moisturised and i only detangle it when i wash it its easily long. If you told me this when i didn't understand why my hair was never much longer than shoulder length, i would have called it a lie. Our hair doesn't need much to thrive we just need to figure out what that "not much" and " i do nothing" means

    Beautiful as always. I searched your website for tips on color treated hair - mainly permanent color. Is the cleansing process the same?

    Don't ever believe the hype that black people can't grow long hair. Growing up I saw plenty of people in my family, both male and female, with long hair. I also looked in the mirror and saw that black people can grow long hair. I saw plenty of black people outside of my family with long hair so I never bought into that lie, nor will I ever.

    When I took my locs down I learned my hair just grows slow. About 3 inches in a year. It's no wonder why I couldn't grow my hair past a chin length when I was struggling with breakage. It's armpit length now.

    ? I keep my hair in 2 strand twist, so how would I keep it clean? While it's twisted

    • @Nottiy
      @Nottiy 28 дней назад +3

      Some people wash their hair while its in twists and then moisturise it and maybe re-twist the front if it doesn't look neat. Some plait the first couple of inches then start twisting so it doesn't mat when they wash it. My hair would look too messy if i did this but others have hair textures that stay very neat for a long period of time.
