  • The Hydrocat was designed from the ground up to integrate adequate hydrogen storage onboard for daily operation. The dual fuel solution provides the lowest cost and highest reliability for the highest CO2 savings, which is groundbreaking for its industry. The clean H2 fuel contains no carbon, drastically reducing the CO2 emissions whilst maintaining same power output and autonomy. The vessel was built with approval by Lloyd’s Register.
The excess wind energy produced by offshore wind farms can be used to produce clean, economical hydrogen. This hydrogen gas can then be used to power the dual-fuel Hydrocat vessel, minimizing the environmental impact of the operation and maintenance of the wind farm.
The workboat design of the Hydrocat has a track record of over 950,000 transfers, and the design of the vessel results in a fast and safe transfer of offshore personnel.
These vessels can also be used for a range of activities, supporting both construction and the operation and management of an offshore wind farm, such as emergency response, standby, survey and dive support vessels.
