The new songs debuted that day (Houses in Motion, Born Under Punches, Crosseyed and Painless) entranced the crowd. Moving in unison. A peak performance and experience.
What an all around amazing day! That’s Adrian Belew from King Crimson playing with them. Nona Hendryx (Labelle), Bernie Worrell (Parliment-Funkadelic), and Busta Jones (worked with Brian Eno) also played with them!
@@raitisfreimanis And Belew played for David Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Paul Simon (he did the horns on "Call Me Al" on his guitar...), the Porcupine Tree, list goes on.
Where the hell did you read that, on the internet question I was there I don't need you telling me what who was there and Adrian belew from King Crimson he played in many bands one of the most great guitarists of all time
I hitched there myself but only 100 miles on 2 rides. The 2nd were 2 cars from New Jersey, 3 gals and 1 guy all in their mid 20's. I waz 18 and these cats stole the day. And that's sayin' somethin'.
Was there with a good friend. Great day! Hot, great bands. Teenage Head, B52s, Pretenders, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello and The Kings. The Clash were supposed to be on the bill, but pulled out . Im sure the attendance would have increased greatly if they had played!
where-in Jerry Harrison iS the REaL PLaYeR, on ''WaRNiNG SiGN'' ( ANd is NVR ShoWN! ) David 'plays' a kinda 'secondary' bass in the beginning, then sum 'lead' runz - leaving belew to jest kinda stand there as spectator --> AWeSuM!!
THE GREAT CURVE OV A PAYOFF!! They revealed somethin' none ov us were ready for and man did they rule that day. I think we all felt sorry fer Elvis and The Attractions. Impossible act ta follow.

I hate people when they're not polite!
Could really use "Less" Cowbell in Warning Sign to be honest.
Only when you are corrected, you will learn you do not get a participation trophy for just showing up
When will your generation rise up to the challenge before you?
