RNG has been significantly reduced in terms of the highs and lows. All 3 original realms have been reworked to have multiple much weaker variants and for there to only be 1 of any specific tile per map. Future realms, like Yamaoka, already have these restrictions in place.
The orientation of these tiles and their proximity to nearby loops may cause some imbalance, but ultimately it’s the best it’s ever been. I would still like to see seeded maps, but 1v1’s are in a good spot right now and are very useful for getting better at chase.

a lot of maps in dbd are pretty static. high variance maps where one loop is weaker and other is stronger is not that common. Like 1vs1 gideon is always going to have same basement, same god pallets, the same everything. the maps where there is rng, the rng is like limited, for example crotus asylum which is nurse map has rng at bottom but rng is limited where it can only be T-L wall, Long-wall or 4 lane wall. So where rng does exist, it is minimal effect. The rng is also healthy because makes survivor have to adapt where as when a map is static, there is no adaption. Gideon for example is always looped in the exact same way. there is 0 skill in that map for that reason and that is not talking about how many of killer are just press spacebar at pallet drop because there is no gameplay at said loop when survivor is at a certain level.

He’s talking about 1v1. Whenever they do it, they get different RNG. Which helps significantly, for example a jungle gym into a window. Whereas the person could get a 4 lane with no window connected to a TL for example.

@@Assau1tX yes and i said that most rng in the game is not wildly different. the maps are either completely static like giodens or have limited rng where what spawns is predictable. the maps wildly different strengths are also known. for example father chapel is an example of a map where it can go to balanced to some of the busted setups in the game because shack area for this map can spawn jungle gym next to shack and it can be rotate to face shack window but this is also why comp scene will avoid doing 1vs1's on father chapel because it is not balanced map for 1vs1. it is not balanced map at all but that is another discussion.

@@dodang_9147 literally all of the og maps can have different RNG

@@Assau1tX the rng is not so different that skill-level of survivor looping changes. while it is possible to have wild setups on certain maps, the average map is going have same loop types.
