Leon Marchand is a pro! He is done with NCAA swimming, and he leaves the college ranks as potentially the greatest college swimmer ever.
Shortly after Marchand lead ASU to their 2024 NCAA Championships Team Title, coach Bob Bowman announced he would be taking the head coaching position at the University of Texas in Austin, and Marchand confirmed he would follow Bowman to Austin.
In this video, Marchand discusses the pressures of the Olympic Games and competing in his home country. He also discusses potentially swimming the 200 butterfly / 200 breaststroke double at the Paris Olympics.

Does Marchand rest or shave? Does he need to? Does it matter? I don’t think it matters. He swims fast all the time.

200 fly - 1:52.6
200 breast - 2:06.1
200 IM - 1:55.5
400 IM - I don't know. I think he swims to win only. At the 2023 French Trials he turned in a 4:10. I see a 4:06.9 at French Olympic Trials.
At the Olympic Games will he swim the 200 fly/200 breast double? I certainly hope so. It would be brutal, but he’s got the talent and the home crowd support to win both, but they would be tight races.

Does he need to swim 4IM at trials? Will the FFN require him to swim it at trials, not unhead of for some feds to give pre selection to WR holder
This is mel..... You know what, you might be right. After winning WC in WR time, requiring him to swim 400 IM doesn't make sense, HOWEVER, a lot of big swimming nations do require all of their swim-stars to prove themselves ahead of the Olympic Games. I'll find out!
I hope if he does do it that they drug test really well just to make sure, not just in the run up but also of course at the meet, before and after.

Theres this one hungarian guy called kristof milak who will win 200 fly and be the first person under 1.50

this is mel....and, yes, I think he can too...but I'd be extremely nervous about attempting it. If he focuses on one of the two events, his chances for gold are much greater. I suppose a better question is if he chooses between the two events, which is the best bet for gold, 2-fly or 2-breast?

In general I really hate this is such an issue, because Russia and China have such legitimately great swimmers, but their legacies are ruined by these constant scandals.

He can manipulate the schedule to his liking all he wants but he's not beating the world record holder in either event
Léon has always said that his goal at Olympics is to win a gold medal, not beating records.
