Because of y'all, I now have over 100 regular plants and an evolving garden as I get more happy accidents while learning. I'm in SW Florida, zone 10a and I'm extremely grateful for you, Robbie and Gary, too. Sending you and your family love and thanks.

Gary's garden looks beyond awesome! If he saw a picture of it as belonging to someone else, he'd really be impressed with it. We all are the most critical of our own gardens because we still see the work we still want to do in them. Congrats on your 300K+ subscribers!

Thank you. Yes I am critical of my own garden. There are many plants that I usually grow that didn't do well this year. My favorite squash "kabocha" failed but I have 1 Tennessee Sweet Potato Pumpkin fruit (10:30 mark ) that, based on the description, should be good.

Robbie and Gary, if you were to write a book about how to attract birds with the various plants you grow, building fountains, etc. with all the colorful pictures of your projects, birds you have seen in your garden, would be awesome! You could make it a garden book to include all the materials you source with creatitivity in the garden. Both you and Gary could write about how you compost, how Gary pollinates dragon fruit, etc. Everything you do is inspirational, and it would be fabulous to pick up your book to look at your garden and projects while sitting on the couch with a cup of tea! Though, I do enjoy the videos too! Some of the garden sites on fb, with new gardeners beginning their journey are really uptight about gardening and are easily discouraged or disappointed if something doesn't quite grow the way they anticipated. Many of us will tell them that we have been gardening for years and its part of learning. I just think your creativity in the garden will help many to learn to enjoy the process and the journey. I would definitely purchase your book! I'm really interested in all the plants you can grow that birds would benefit from along with what I provide for food. I hope you might consider it. Thanks for all the information you guys share!

Your garden tours are an inspiration! Gary's garden looks amazing; there is so much food! It is inspring how fast he got his garden to produce so much food. I am definitely not as diligent with my garden. I always have greens but I have a tendency to let plants go to seed. I just love how much life flowers attract and when I see birds sitting around eating the seeds, it delays me removing the plant to replace it. I suppose all that means is that each garden reflects the gardener. Mine feeds me just enough and gives me joy with all its life.
You and Gary's gardens are such a joy as well!

As soon as Gary goes to harvest the chayote squash I hope to do a video, as he is hard to record as he is all over the place. Today he worked on some dragonfruit cuttings and seedlings. We are starting to get rain these days, rained 2 days ago, was suppose to rain yesterday, but it did not, then it was supposed to rain today, but it did not. Now they say tomorrow, so we will see. At least I haven’t had to watered my garden now in about four days, so that’s a good thing, because it’s been cool. Oh yes, as soon as the leaves turn brown on the ginger and the turmeric I will get them out of the soil. What a wonderful generous gift your friend got you a nice sewing machine, I love having mine here, so much you can do with it. I have an old sewing machine, bought it at the thrift store about 15 years ago, and it was already 20+ years old, still works good. Keep hoping to try to go live soon, but the days ends up crazy busy…hopefully soon. Again, so sorry what you are going through with the surgery and the healing process, hope it is going good. I know you will be doing the other hand soon too. Rest your hand so it heals great, you will being sewing before you know it. Love to you all there My Friend. Be well and safe. Thank you for the Super Thanks, truly greatly appreciated ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Be well, and again thank you 😊 💕❤️

    • @RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy

Thanks Grace, that's a great question. The simple answer is I don't really know. In the beginning there were fewer. Full sun, dappled shade from the old structure and areas against the retaining wall created them. Over time the plants have grown in and changed things. The passionfruit vines and dragon fruit hedge have created new shady cooler areas more suitable for different plants so some things will need to be moved.

I have a couple of questions. By the way THANK YOU VERY MUCH for replying I appreciate it very much!! 😊
We have passion fruit as well but we haven’t any luck with the fruit 😢 This was the first year that it gave fruit (just a couple) but it didn’t make it. It fell off while it was still green. Is there anything that I should do to prevent that? I also have a lemon tree. It’s giving us a lot of lemons 🍋 this year and we are so blessed for that!! but I noticed that some of them burst open while still on the tree. I don’t know why it happened. We’ve had it for about 7 years and never had that problem before.
    Have a blessed evening!! ❤

Thanks Barbara. Mine aren't large enough to harvest yet. They're perennial but slower to produce tubers here because we don't get as much heat, or more correctly "heat units". I imagine they do well in Tucson. In well drained soil mine will keep over winter. Cold they can handle as long as the ground doesn't freeze. In cold and wet conditions they can rot. I would test a few to see how they go.

You said he is wanting to get rid of his fig trees?! Figs are almost impossible to find in the stores here in southern Missouri. You can get Fig Newtons, but no just plain dried figs, or fresh figs. The Chicago hardy fig tree will grow in our area, but I have not gotten any yet. Figs are a favorite of mine, but if you ask for them in the store very few people have even heard of figs.

Thanks, we are aware of that, the bricks/cement blocks are cracked for years, hopefully one day we can get them repaired, thanks again

That’s a relief. It was a huge shock to see that and even though I figured y’all knew about it, I couldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t mention it.
I love your merch…just ordered a “Don’t forget to eat what you grow” tee. You’ve helped me start my own container garden and build so many useful garden accessories, so I can’t wait to be a walking billboard for your channel. 🤣

Don't know if this is something you'd be interested in, but have you tried cutting that gourd in pieces, coat with oil, and coating with like a Cajun spice mix, then air frying it or something?

Thank you Ben. There are 2 vines growing on that arbor. Chayote squash have many common names. In Australia and New Zealand they are called Chokos.
