I didn't know there is a "Select all same instance" feature, that's amazing! In combination with Paste to replace its pure gold . Thank you!
oh cool, I haven't used slices before! I do use paste to replace all the time. thanks for the tips! I like this small tips series!
THANK you so much for these tips! It's gold 🙌
This is great, I didn't realize some of these features exist!
Great tip. Thanks!
That was smart 🔥
Really Cool.
The woman talkinh is AI, right?
you #figma have a lot of bugs in interaction components ...
The feature I really want is that when I duplicate a page that has master components on it, those master components should be re-created on the new page (i.e. the new page should have it's own master components rather than instances of the component from the previous page)
That's as simple as just duplicating the file though. This would never else be possible considering that copied instances of interfaces would be children of the original master component and will not be connected to the newly created one (sure, unless you decide to swap them out), that's is why file duplication works best in the scenario you are describing.
Before working on the next page, you can detach components from the previous designs with plugin called "select layers". Choose select instance layers and detach the components! It helped me to save time so many times! Hope it helps you too
@@aidannieThanks for the tip, but I don't think this would work. I want the master component to be duplicated and all the instances within the page to be linked to the new master.
@@peppapig807 That's what it does. Whenever I move to the UI phase, I duplicate the High Fidelity Wireframe page and rename it as UI. Then I select all instances on the high fid page and detach them. Thus, whenever I color or change some details on the master component, they don't affect the high fid. ones, instead I see the result on UI page.
Hope I understood you well and was able to explain myself. Have a good day!
