Booster catch seems kinda risky considering that they plan on having people onboard in the future even after it becomes more reliable because what's plan B so to speak if there was an issue? Landing on legs would be equally dependent on the thrusters and landing in the ocean would involve a very uncomfortable landing and recovery for the passengers...and that's if they even manage to keep the thing afloat on the water.
Forgive my opinion piece: When it comes to anything space related, I as well as my closest friends are filled with joy when exploring what the innovative minds (engineers, materials specialists, cosmologists, astrophysicists, biologists, sci-fi/fantasy authors, futurists, etc...) of our species are capable of. Keeping that in mind, I am disappointed and feel a tremendous loss due to two harmful men being linked to anything space related. Musk and Trump reflect what can go wrong in our societies if we do not address and treat the symptoms which underlie hate and in many instances which underlie anti-science ideologies/dogmas. Both Trump and Musk have demonstrated that they are willing to place people in harm's way so as to achieve their goals of wealth and power. As far as I can tell, our societies are set up to reward, protect, and enable divisive rhetoric spewers and hate-enablers as like Musk and Trump. I hope that in the next generation or in any of the generations which follow that the children and adults of this world will experience less Musk-like and less Trump-like people in influential/powerful positions. I can only hope. 🌸
