    Hi! Ive been following your channel for a long time. Thank you so much for creating a lot of contents! I’m just a lil bit skeptical about reading the laws of human nature since a lot of people who reviewed it said it’s all about manipulating people and taking control of them. And it makes you think negatively of people. I would like to know your thoughts about that.

    • @BookMattic
      @BookMattic  2 года назад +2

      First of all, I want to say thank you very much for following my account for such a long time! Much appreciated. I have also heard the same story from other people about The Laws of Human Nature, but I would have to say that not all of the strategies are negative or manipulative in a negative way.
      Let's look at it this way, anyone could take a strategy and bend it to their own will, this could be in a positive way or a negative way. The thing that I like about this book the most is that I can understand myself a whole lot better, and help to make the negative things about myself better as well. And if there are people who manipulate the strategies out there, then I can better spot some of the hidden agendas they might have. Albeit a small percentage of people are the ones that will take advantage of you, while the larger percentage are good people. The lessons in this book are valuable for every person who have.

      Talk like Ted by Carmine Gallo is a very well-written book as the author is a journalist so he is writing every single day whereas TED Talks is more of a manual for people that want to build their own speeches. I would go with talk like Ted

      This is such a great comment as the best way to learn is by doing. Reading is just a supplemental way to learn from other people's experiences.
