Thank you for this video! I just got a Memphis Shades Bullet Fairing and was staring at the mounting setup trying to figure out WHERE to start. This definitely gave me an idea of how to get rolling on mine. Ride safe!
Where about does that mount on the handle bars? I have a speaker that goes across the middle of my handlebars would I still be able to mount that type of windshield on my v star?
It took me an hour and a half because I put the throttle side brackets upside down, so the hex nut was facing inward, hence no way to tighten them. Then the brackets would come undone as I was about to tighten them, so like ALWAYS, the first time I do a job it takes 4 times as long. It was frustrating, but easy.
I am not a native English speaking person and I got a little confused with the washers of the windshield where the plates are mounting. Manual says keep plastic washers off. So I didn't know whether I should remove them completely. I will follow your example and put them on with the nut. Thank you for the video.
Hey Dave Jordan, great vid. I just bought a 09' Yamaha Road star & need to consider a windshield purchase. I was thinking of this one or the Slims. When I measure it looks like it could be either 20-21". But I don't want it to high. I think 19" would be cooler. How well does yours cut the wind & elements? BTW anyone ever tell you w/the shades on you resemble Stone Cold Steve Austin? Thanks man,
+Santos “Santiago” Marquez Hey, thanks for watching. You want to make sure that the top of the shield is the height of the tip of your nose while sitting on the bike in the relaxed position that you would most often be riding in. You should be able to see just over the top, and not through the shield. That way the wind is diverted over your helmet. If the shield is to low the wind will batter the top of your helmet. Have the staff at the place where you buy the shield measure it. Once the shield is mounted the company will NOT take it back to replace it. Best of luck to you, and yes.....I've been told on occasion that I resemble Steve Austin. 😃
Well done. I've watched two demo vids and neither one demo'd the REMOVAL. Need to remove mine so I can have it cut down. I did however, enjoy this high quality YT video.
ok...lol...i just went to the garage and removed the windshield....very easy!!! It was nice to have familiarity with the moving pieces thanks to your video. I'm good!
great video nice n quick and gave me the little info of all the parts involved to do the job right the first time. i found real harley mounting kits for $45 and the 18inch shield for $61 total $106 for my new windshield free shipping. yes its in the usa i dont buy china crap ever for my bike. fyi you sound like Steve Austin the wrestler actor lol you look a bit like him too. thanks for posting man.
+Russell Smalls I think you will really like it. Get the brackets that allow you to quickly remove the windshield for those days when you don't want it. MAKE SURE that you order the correct size. The proper size will allow you to see just over the top of the shield. About nose level. You should also not be looking through the shield. Size does matter. 👍😁 Thanks for watching and best of luck. Let me know how it goes.
Please respond... I have a sportster and it says it needs this parts setup but there is so much distance between the windshield bracket and the docking hardware on the forks. Please explain what you did differently :)
So glad these vids stay up forever. Just purchased my Memphis Shades Windshield and this was the perfect installation tutorial. Thank you!
Glad that it was able to help. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you David Jordan for making this video. After watching you install your windshield I feel a lot more confident about doing it myself.
+Oscar Cruz that's great to hear. Let me know how it comes out.

Very helpful, short, concise and informative, thank you!
thanks i purchased a batwing for my softail but have been hesitant about attempting to put it on. but i good to go now thanks
+Justin Brin The biggest issue is purchasing the correct size which may not be an issue with a batwing. The rest is pretty straight forward.
Nicely done video. Good clear information on installing the trigger mount system

What is the diameter of your fork. you didn't have to remove the shrouds right?
Подходит на Yamaha drag star 1100 classic?

What make model & year bike? Different mountain methods for different bikes.😐

Thanks for uploading the vid, I've been looking at one of these. I've got a 04 Honda VTX 1300, I need a windshield on it for when we take long trips.
I love mine and its really easy to take on and off.

Im glad the video helped. Thanks for watching!!
This did not work on my 2012 VT750C2 Shadow Spirit. For my bike the brackets had to be reversed and all went fine.
Glad that you got it worked out.
Very helpful❤
Thank you
What kind of bike did you put it on
Yamaha V Star
Looks very cool.

Where you put the brackets depends on what model MC you have!
I have a 2014 HD "48" and the brackets are reversed!

Thanks.
Looks good, bud.
Memphis shades makes good products...
Anyone ever tell you that you kinda sound like Stone Cold Steve Austin?
Occasionally I will hear that.
Completely skipped the part I needed to see 👌
Don't you want it to cover your face?
Disregard this. I forgot the air would bounce off the windshield.
Chris is correct. You should be looking just over the top.
