Why was it necessary to land troops directly under the German machine guns? On the beach, where there is not even a stone to hide? The coastline of France is 3,500 kilometers long. Couldn't there have been a better place?
The title of this video is "Normandy, France - D-Day Memories" which being an American video, means that apart from two very brief views of Gold Beach, it was all about Omaha amd Utah, plus the American casualties at Omaha and the American cemetery with the number of American dead. Even the promo image has the American and French Flags, but of course no British flag. As with such videos, they only feature the American side of things. What they seem to forget is that D-Day was an ALLIED assault, but Americans never mention the British, Canadian or even the French troops....but that's because Omaha and Utah are all they know. SO, the title is misleading, and the content was all one-sided. If you are going to present such a huge subject and call it D-Day, you should be giving due courtesy to ALL those who took part. The fact that you showed just the American cemetery, not only shows disrespect to the others who fell, but dishonours their memory. When will the Americans ever learn that they were not the only ones who fought for our freedom. In claiming that 9,300 Americans gave their lives, they forget that In France and Belgium alone, there are 1.1 million British and Commonwealth servicemen lying in almost 4,000 cemeteries in Northern France who made the supreme sacrifice - a sacrifice that videos like this dishonour. The you wonder why other countries feel no love for the US!

Ne pas oublier que l Amérique a laissé un lourd tribut a la France
Ótimo vídeo e muito explicativo
Why just the American flag and not 🇨🇦 and 🇬🇧 ? Where’s Juno and Sword ?
and Juno and Sword Beaches, why arent they included???
That's because we didn't have the opportunity to fly over them. This movie is not pretending to be an official documentary :)

Best you re title this iten as 'Some Normandy, France - D-Day Beaches'
D - DAY 80 th 2024
Where are your Canadian and British flags?
Why was it necessary to land troops directly under the German machine guns? On the beach, where there is not even a stone to hide? The coastline of France is 3,500 kilometers long. Couldn't there have been a better place?
Not one bomb crater from B-17's
Dropped from too high an altitude, the bombs fell 100 or 150 meters behind the targets.
Now I see Point due Hoc was what I thought was Normandy Beach? Why is there no mention of Normandy?
there was never a normandy beach
Normandy is the name of the region.
what is 2:47 ?
same as 2:40, it's an above view of the artificial harbor
never forget "Kerch" operation where Georgians 🇬🇪 and Russian🇷🇺 solders died... D-day and Kerch is same operattion..
