Pentagon "sacrificed" their second performance to give jinho a proper send off that all of the kpop world got to be a part of. 😢
I actually used the same terminology when talking to Anna ("sacrificed"), but I honestly don't think they could have imagined doing it any other way for themselves. It was definitely a privilege to be able to experience.
Taemin did an instalive the day the episode came out and mentioned he watched the boyz performance saying he really enjoyed it
Yeah we saw that shortly after recording this!! I bet they were super excited to hear Taemin mention it, especially the one who has taemin as his lock screen lol they definitely deserved his recognition because they killed it!

When I watched the full episode after this, i started crying at that part too >< -Anna
I like how you guys didn't judge the second part of Pentagon's round 2 performance, I really respect that.
Aww thank you for the affirmation! We just felt like it really wasn't our place because more than anything it was for them and it was just a privilege to have them share that moment and that piece of their heart with us 💕
Impossible to watch Pentagon's performance without crying. Impressive that you guys didn't bust out in sobs like I did haha

honestly we had to take quite a long break between filming the reaction and our after comments >< I think I cried more than Anna did but it took us a while to collect ourselves after watching. The emotions were just so pure and raw that we couldn't help but be overwhelmed
Fun fact: The Boyz's choreography director for rtk is Taemin's choreographer, Mihawk Back, and he's also the one who created Danger's solo dance part. Also, their company's dance trainer is Choi Hyoje who is an SM choreographer and worked with Taemin and Shinee
Ooh yeah when we watched the episode we were both like "it makes so much sense why the performance was so Taemin-esque!" Didn't realize that about their trainer as well, but that makes so much sense as to why they're such great dancers/performers!
thank you for not judging the spring snow stage and like Anna said they really prepared that stage for themselves
about spring snow it's a song by kino reminiscing the time of shine the happiest/most successful era to this day for them (while they shot the mv for shine it started snowing in the middle of sspring that's why this song is called spring snow) and the video messages were a surprise for jinho
ah did not know the Spring Snow was by Kino, but that makes it even more special! the whole stage was a lovely privilege to get to experience such a touching moment for them

Also Spring Snow is the second song in the second Pentagon performance ❤️
We both definitely felt all of the feels during the Spring Snow part of the performance. It was so beautiful 💕
As a predebut deobi, hearing people appreciate and like tbz is soooo heartwarming. Those boys have always been amazing and now people will know how amazing they are. Their main rapper, sunwoo (red hair), is also a top notch vocal and they're all amazing dancers.
Since neither of us knew anything about the boyz (at least in terms of performances) before rtk, we were definitely shook by how talented they are!
Also omg i just realized yesterday that I recognized sunwoo from high school rapper?!?! -Anna

I saw the Shine MV playing in a bar and decided to look up the group. They were the first k-pop group I ever listened to, and after three years remain my favorite. If I were to rank groups by memorable music, choreography, and personalities, I think BTS Twice and Pentagon are all in the same tier. Perhaps I'm biased. This is a long winded way of asking you two to check out their other stuff. They're great.
Pentagon are extremely talented and we're both open to reacting to them! Peyton has probably seen most of their MVs already because she was a pretty big fan of theirs, but are there any specific videos you have in mind?

Also, I HIGHLY recommend you give the album The Black Hall, which Dr. BEBE is the title track for, a listen. It's extremely good. One of the best Kpop albums I've heard and Pentagon's best and first full album to date. :)

Thank you! We know that it can sometimes make the videos longer, but since they spend so much time preparing such amazing stages, we figure the least we can do is acknowledge the moments and aspects that stick out to us! Also because of our performance backgrounds we have these conversations anyways, so we hoped that maybe someone else would enjoy them hahaha

Yeah we found out when we watched the episode! But neither of us really knew mad max that well beforehand, so once we googled it, the concept made so much sense lol
The more you know about the "Phantom Thief" archetype, the cooler the performance is. I screamed at the "Ladies and Gentlemen" part, as it's famously used as a line by one of the most famous Phantom Thief characters; Kaitou KID from Detective Conan.
As a fan of the boyz, I really love how you react on the boyz like you don't only focus on the impact or the overall outcome of the performance but rather emphasized other things like their eyes and the choreo and the music arrangement, outfits, and most especially on the concept on why they did smthng like this and that or what. You really tried to understand the performance deeply and that's beautiful!!

I am 2 years late hahahaha I am a Bee(and Universe) and just wanted to say that Block B has a rock version of very good (it is actually a Rough version). Its amazing but clearly would not have the success the other version had. I love when groups cover this song and do a rock version of it.

I don't know if you've seen it, but the boyz have already covered "The Boys" by snsd, and they didn't change anything from the original lyrics. And also, they've covered Cherr Up by Twice and sang the "wanna see you love me like a real man"
It's lit the way they just respect the lyrics so much and don't care abou the rest
We haven't seen it yet >< we're doing a series on the Boyz right now, so we have to hold off on binging all of their covers since we will be reacting to them in a few weeks, but after seeing their RTK stages we are super pumped to be watching them. Plus we also keep hearing how great they are!

Pentagon's conceot on very good is actuallh steampunk and to be very specific, mad max, most of the outfits are from mad max specially hongseok and all the back ups

Yes!
