Once I found myself lost in the worldly pleasures. My heart was full of pride and bitterness. I begun to curse because I couldn't find peace in anything. I was in verge of destruction. When I was looking but not finding, one wiseman spoke to my heart. The rare breed in the world advices me. He told me how I could not find satisfaction in the pleasures of the world. He plainly rebuked me for being spiritually blind and not holding to the truth. He directed me to the house of God. I could not sleep because the words I had head from the wiseman were cutting my heart like a sword. I could not hold it anymore. In the Sunday morning I gathered my courage and before anyone could arrive in the church I entered the gate of the house of God. I was desperate and broken hearted. The I found my way straight to the altar. I could not hold myself up and so I went down on my knees. My mind begun to look back. I begun to remember the little me when my mother used to hold my hand and together we go to church. I remembered how I was committed to the word of God as I grew up. Then I remembered how I lost it in teenage. How I disposed the council of the wise and followed the desires of my heart. The tears begun to flow from my eyes as I remembered how God had saved me from death in many occasions, how he protected me from terminal diseases and accidents, how he provided me and sheltered me , currying me under his wings. lifting my hands I cried to the heavenly Father, the Ancient of days, I told him how I was sorry for leaving the path of righteousness and following the paths of wickedness. I asked Him to help me because I was lost. Then his presence filled the altar. I begun to shake like a leave on a windy day. Suddenly I felt a heavy hand on me and like fire something went from my head down to my toes of my feet. Immediately I felt at peace within me. I was filled with happiness and begun to praise Him who lives forever. He restored my heart and healed my soul. He reminded me of His agape love. I cried even more and promised Him never to let go again. I was weak but a happy man. I turned my neck because the hand was still holding my shoulder only to find my pastor still praying for me. The rest is history...... 15yrs down the line and still holding upon his promises and serving his purpose in my life.
His mercies are so great and His love endures forever, keep on seeking his will and serving his purpose
Amen and amen. Have discovered that the only peaceful and safe place is in the arms and presence of God. My desire is to live for Him for the rest of my life.

The song reminds of successive uplands in my life journey. In 2022 when financial consraints nearly barred me from joining the university having secured a chance. Towards the pheripheri of 2022 as if that was not enough , a psychological wound signalled and proved evident in February of 2023.
