Hey mate, any chance you could look at both the 2023 Norco fluid fs a3 and the 2022 Merida one-twenty 600 and tell me which which you think is the better trail bike based off geometry and specs. Thanks mate
Cool video mate! Just wondering, what Garmin mount are you running? I also have the OneUp EDC so I am looking for one like yours. Also, where does Waynos start, as I can't find it on TrailForks? Cheers
Love your videos mate, good to see some quality vids of local tracks. How do you like the norco sight? I've got a large canyon torque and am thingking of changing to something that pedals a bit better and isnt just an all out downhill sled without tripple clamps haha. id say im an intermdediate rider so the extra travel on a sight vs optic would help me i think, plus it would have to have enough travel for a thredbo run or shuttles. i'm 177cm tall and the large torque (460mm reach) feels *just* too big with a 35mm stem. i was thinking a medium sight may suit (450mm reach i think). how tall are you and do you like the size you have? cheers!
Hey thanks for the kind words 🙌 I really love my Sight and I think it's a great choice as a one bike if shuttles and travel are on your agenda. I would have thought a 460 reach would be good at your height but potentially the medium Sight would give you more flexibility. I'm 183 and the large Sight feels perfect for me.
@@MTBMcPhee Yea thanks mate, it's weird, i loved my large norco aurum (430mm reach) but hated my giant regin medium (440mm reach) when i got it. the torque with a 35mm stem and it set as low as it can go is getting pretty close to what feels good but just feels a touch big. maybe its just because its a downhill orientated bike and is a large bike in general. Anyway ill figure it out haha. happy shredding
Hey Craig, I live in the shire area too so ride very similar areas to you (much slower) and was wondering what you think the perfect amount of travel would be for the area? Saving up to finally get off my hardtail. Cheers mate
Hey Ethan. I really like my Optic for Shire riding, but if I was only having one bike I would go for something with a bit more travel 150-160 up front and between 130-150 rear.
@@MTBMcPhee cheers dude! Looking at a 150 front 140 rear currently so good to know I'm in the right area. Thanks for the reply and keep up the great work on the vids
Have you got any footage (or next time you're riding there could you do some footage) of the push apart on Bulli DH .. the step down into the step up/double?
Around the 10min mark in this video is the DH track if that's the bit you mean ruclips.net/video/m6_3YUAWapA/видео.html I've never filmed the other line on the DH with the big step down into the long double
Man that was a dusty day.. don't remember it being that dusty first time I watched it. Yep, that's the bit I'm on about, step down into long double, that's the one that cabbaged me back in March! Any chance you will do a video of that? I can't find any on RUclips and am interested to see other people hit it
@@colinsmith5041 I'll shoot it whenever I can get back there - lockdown allowing. I nearly had a hugey on the 3rd jump over the rock last time, but I'm keen to tick off that whole line in a run some time 👍
Awesome, sounds good man 👍 I know..who knows how long this bloody thing will drag on 🤞 When you do go after it give me a shout if you want..I'm keen for redemption. Run in probably needs some love it's pretty jank. Just need to make sure you carry enough speed from the top..that double comes quick after the step down, don't want to have to work too hard to carry the gap! 👌

big fan of the fluid 👌
Looks like fun. Couldn't see Waynos on Trailforks.
Might not be there 🤷🏼♂️
@@MTBMcPhee how do you know the trail name then?
@@MikeOnaBike word of mouth generally, but these ones also have signs up
Awesome vid .... Big Balls looks steep!
Steep and awesome 🤘

That’s the k-edge mount, it works well. Waynos has the same trail head as Bulli dh 🤙
Always a good fun mate. Sick video! 🔥
Well done mate. Great vid again
Thanks Emma 🙌

Those runs are pretty full-on. Rider footage rarely gives justice to the gradient of trails or the size of features.

Nice riding boys; such a great spot. Probably not the smartest choice riding Lyrebird with a cooked rear tyre😁
Thanks bud. I think Bulli is my favourite place to ride right now. And yeah, ran out of time that morning to swap the tyre out. Got down tho 😬

My bro lives in bulli. Gonna have to squid on these tracks soon
Man this isn't even half of it. There are so many good trails there 🤙
Dang that jump was big, is it very hard or just a bit scary... or both 😂?
It's not a hard jump but it's easy to go way too fast. Once you know the speed it's just intimidating
Needs more concrete
Would make a good CX track
