- GAME 6 - This Episode we dive in to the Story behind this LEGENDARY performance. LeBron James, the reigning NBA MVP, sat at the brink of infamy. It was June 7, 2012. He sat in the visitors’ locker room at TD Garden, in all likelihood reading Suzanne Collins’ 2010 Mockingjay - the final installment of the Hunger Games series. Then he got stretched by Miami Heat trainers. Evening was turning to night. It was time for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, and the sports world was closing in on James. No athlete had ever been under as much pressure to win a championship, let alone a single game.

Just imagine how many points Lebron would have if he played like this all the time. Truth is, he doesn't like this style of play. As cliche as it sounds, he much prefers to win as a team and have eveyone involved. He trusts his teammates, maybe even when he shouldn't, but you can tell he cares more about the team win than him being the hero. If people think that Lebron couldn't of done this a lot more than he did, then I don't think they have been paying attention.
Btw.......you should have way more subs. This video was extremely well done.
LeBron could have been the greatest scorer of all time, he already is the most efficient with a pass first mentality
@@wkeyz851 And the best offensive player ever, having something like Magic's base improved to the next level.
If he played like this all the time he probably wouldn't still be playing. His style of play has contributed to his longevity
@@dameonaquest7607 That's also right, just like for MJ or others.
Not only people think that MJ was late 80s MJ for his whole career every Bulls game every minute on the court and every side, but even think that he could just casually not only keep playing (physically and psycologically, for his father and all) also win, and automatically at that, in 94 and the full part of 95.
All without consequences whatsoever lol
Great take
Paul Pierce was 4-18 FG, .22%, 1-14 on 3-pt, 3Rb, 1Ast, 3TO, a minus 20, in 31min. This was after he screamed "he can't guard me", after hitting that 3 in Bon's face in game 5. Game 7, Paul was 7-18 for 19Pts, 3Rb, 1Ast ,2TO with a -15, in 42min. Bron had 31/12 in game 7. It's safe to say that Bron not only could guard you Paul; but locked you down.
👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Damn how far has Lebron come since 2011? Sheez. 4 championships and 4 finals MVP later and hunting for more. 😁
4-4 after that 2011 finals
@@raymundfernandez4172 crazy he went to 8 straight finals
Game 6 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals was easily the most important game in LeBron's career.
2012 ECF:
Celtics: Ray Allen ( age 36 ), Post-injuries Kevin Garnett ( age 36 ), Paul Pierce ( age 34 )
Still needed 7 games to beat the Celtics.
@@allanhouston6759 Lebron's legacy is complicated. That Celtics was not that talented, there were old. In the previous series the 76ers led by Andre Iguodala with no star players on it took that same Celtics team to 7 games. Miami shouldve never gotten to the point of taking the C's to 7 games & being in danger of being eliminated with the C's being up 3-2. At the same time, Lebron had an arsenal of dynamic scoring that Game 6 with the likes of a Kobe or MJ where he made 12 out of of his 19 field goals from midrange jumpers mostly coming from the post shooting faceup shots or 1-2 dribble turnaround or fadaway shots.
Game 6 showed Lebron can rely on skilled scoring like a midpost/elbow post up midrange game. But Lebron likes to rely on driving to the paint with the lane cleared due to the big man not clogging the paint because of defensive 3 seconds & is able to shoot open 3s with defenders sagging off of him. Relying on a post or midrange game is still important even in today's analytic era, that's why KD & Kawhi are able to win chips cause they have that in their arsenal. Lebron doesnt want to spend too much time in the post because the ball would be in his hand less times being the primary ball handler by waiting for someone to feed him the ball in the post instead of creating off the dribble with his dribble penetration or holding the ball to generate assists. Also Lebron doesnt trust his jumper, thats why he doesnt shoot many midrange shots & prefer to shoot 3s where teams sag off of him or when defenders go under the screen.
Also Lebron's style of play of getting scoring opportunities by driving in the paint consistently has its flaws too cause Lebron avoids driving to the paint at times due to his poor free throw shooting. I think people give credit to Lebron due to him overcoming adversity with his legacy on the line like Game 6 vs the Celtics or 2016 vs the Warriors where they was pressure to give his hometown Cleveland a chip. But Lebron's flawed offensive skills makes u question his greatness. Lebron needs to rely on holding the ball for assists waiting for guys to move without the ball getting assists from his teammates offball cuts or open 3s, or scoring or passing opportunities wit his dribble penetration & in the playoffs u can defend that style of play easier compared to a player wit a complete scoring arsenal. Lebron shouldve beaten that Celtics team more easily in 4 or 5 games, maybe 6 depending on the circumstance wit a Dwade who was still good even being banged up physically. But it is what it is.
@@anthonycelestin3559 piston beating shaq and kobe? Idiot fans.
@@joshmirr7366 Your right Kobe and Shaq failed with their superteam with both of them, Gary Payton & Karl Malone. Karl Malone was injured vs the Pistons & didnt play certain games in that Finals series and Malone was an important piece to that team. You can argue Kobe was going through tougher adversity that 03-04 season compared to Lebron's first year in Miami. To be fair, Lebron was a villain but Lebron didnt have the threat of his career being in jeopardy like Kobe. Based on what Kobe went through, you can argue the stress made him meltdown in the Finals more than Lebron. Yeah Lebron was going through stuff but it wasnt to the same degree as Kobe.
There's no excuses for both of their bad performances but Kobe gets more of a pass for his terrible performance compared to a Lebron. Lebron actually had support from his teammates & organization when Bron was the # 1 villain. When Kobe was the villain by the fans & media, the only people that supported Kobe in the Lakers organization was Jim Buss, Jerry West, & maybe Brian Shaw but Phil Jackson, Karl Malone, Shaq & Kobe other teammates hated his guts
@@anthonycelestin3559 lol lebron was 3-6 and he got support? He should have won unanimous mvp but 1 vote went to carmelo anthony. LeBron was the most hated player and mos of the time he got injured team mates. I cant believe how you guys downplay every player kobe played with. Kobe won 1 mvp thats it.
Angry LeBron is superhuman. Angry Goatee LeBron is Thanos 😅
I’m 36
Rdcworld "IM NOT THANOS!!!!!" He really was tho lol
If game 1 of the 2018 finals went to the Cavs. It would've been the greatest basketball performance of all time
Yea I remember thinking the exact same thing. It was still a masterful performance. He mentally was in a funk when it went to overtime because he had put everything into regulation. Gs had the horses for overtime. He is partly to blame but the dude did the impossible, which was put fear into the scariest shooting team of our era.
The atmosphere building for this video is so sick! Great job
MAN...lol

Game 7 of nba finals 2016 proly the best game ive seen in my life
It was a great game for sure but don’t forget he had back to back 41pt games before that. Imagine having two 41 pt games in a series and they’re not even your best game of the series... the fucking goat 👑
Game 6 Boston in Boston
“Skip bayless will find something to complain about lebron james tonight you mark my words”
8 years later and that’s still accurate😂
This right here is better than half of the ”Last Dance”
Lebron 45 15 5 Lmao Chris Bosh had 7 points in 28 minutes and Dwade had 17 points in 38 minutes can you imagine a big 3 scoring that in meaningful game 🤣lmao Lebron carried the heat through the whole run.
KD got Game 6 Klay and Steph, and mfers comparing GSW BIG3 and Heat BIG3 lmfao
Skips takes dont age gracefully 😂
They age like his face
That shot by pierce was one of the coldest shots I’ve ever seen in basketball.
I thought it was over when pierce hit that shot
Saw that shit live in 2012 I was so happy when I went to sleep that night😂
@Jeremy Grant nah not game 6 but game 7 yeah😂😂

Best game of LBJ career hands down!!
Doc is a great coach and it was so dope to hear him say what he said about the media getting on Lebron.. Lebron went into GOD mode this game. Basically for the next season he was a different kind of player.
I remember this watching this game on live tv,
Man the pressure that was on him.
Few times I've seen an unstoppable performance.
Bro I remember this game like it was yesterday. The pressure was thick in the air in Boston Garden, you could cut it with a knife.
Yeah I expected The Heat to lose & for LBJ to get cancelled from any GOAT conversation, even the MVP conversation.
LeBron is the 🐐! Great video bro keep up the great work
Bruh, at 6:30 the truth is hes living rent free in everyones head
What’s funny is after LeBron did this to the Celtics, KG and Pierce were traded to the Nets. They tried to form a Big 4 with Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez and still got spanked 😂😂😂😂😂
THIS VIDEO GETS A “ TOP MARKS”. EXCELLENTLY DONE👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
This game saved his legacy.
He saved his legacy
Skip is such a clown. LeBron is literally Top2 playoff player ever with MJ. More playoff buzzer beaters then the other Top10-15 GOAT combined!
He's still going to be the all time leader in scoring...
THE CHOSEN ONE 👑 Lebron 🐐
9:10 the first "this is bad, this is very very bad"
7:01 Chris broussard has real talk. Everybody sleeps ln Dallas' shooting ability. Remember they won the tough west.
They swept the 57 win defending 2x champion Lakers...Lebron thought they had it in the bag
I slept on them in 2011
HAHAHAHAHAHA SKIP BAYLESS IS CRYING😭😭😭😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
That game was legendary
Great vid, but let the highlights speak for themselves no need to ruin LeGreatness with skips face every shot
Gotcha
The LeBron Factory has noe
I think it was to build up the tension and emphasize the stakes but I agree, can’t stand hearing Skip talk.

I can't even imagine how bad it would have been for LeBron and Miami if they lose this game 6 ! When people say LeBron didn't overcome adversity to win just show them this video
What a great video..LeBron is the most scrutinized superstar ever soo much garbage has been thrown a him!!That push him to produce the biggest performance I’ve ever seen in the NBA!!
Diouf PHILIP EDMOND thanks bro. And FACTS!!!!
To say in 2010 that a 2 time MVP who had that game 5 in the ECF at 22 years old and took Cleveland to there only Finals appearance and already had 3 play off game winning shots a "regular" season player and the most over hyped super star ever is insane
shoutout to FunnyMike 😂😂 such a random cameo in this video
Attack Mentality
That “villain” LBJ has me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That quote about the people had me DYIN when I heard that...& they were wrong then & most of them are STILL wrong now...
Like he said...that loss taught him so much. Also...I see him goin 2 Miami was him goin 2 college & havin 1 of the best professors teaching him about the game AND win...

LeBron James best performance in GM 6,and which the celtics never recovered 2 days later
tone down the music its clashing with the commentary
neptuneniq thanks!
Great vid
Really though... It's way too loud & annoying.
The music was fine
@@TheLeBronFactory great job, it really emphasized how much was riding on this game.
LeBron James performance in gm 6,which the Celtics had never been recovered in gm 7 2 days later
Paul pierce was hating 😂
Broussard, Bayless, Stephen A are all embiciles. So many ridiculous arguments being made against Bron. Why didn't Paul Peirce shrug off "the truth" nickname? He didn't win anything before KG and Allen were paired with him. Or Karl Malone being the "postman" he never won anything, yet he gets to keep his nickname? AI was "the answer" he also never won anything, why did he get to keep his nickname? Only these type of hypocritical arguments are used to bring down Bron. Another thing that shows you how great he truly is and how the media isn't as much on his side as people would like to believe.
Where is the next video in this story?
Daniel Oswago it’s coming!
Bosh go in HOF for nothing the guy score 0 Pts in Game 7 against San Antonio.
But they called him champions and in East final he was awful
🇺🇲👑 6 LeBron James 6 👑🇺🇲
What's the music for? Smh
Giannis basically just had this game in game 7 against the nets
u don’t know what is on the line during this time
What’s the name of the song that starts at 4:44?
So NOBODY peeped 14:45?
Was my guy, Stephen A sleeping? Lmao
Wow!!! How jealous can you get Stephen A!!? People can see through you man.
6:15 but why though bruh????
Warriors fans🤮
That shit had me dying
This marked his domination of the NBA.
Nobody gonna talk about the celtic fan who threw the ball to Wade's head?
Lebron broke the celtics
Legoat
Where is the part 2v
Skip 😂😂
Skip clueless 😂🤣
He’s really been a hater since day 1
Skip balysis and Stephen A always cry over lebron every time what he did.
I did not see Steven A saying what is saying to KD today either he became soft and KD got stronger
I SUSPECT THAT THE LEAGUE WILL SHUTDOWN LEBRON'S CAREER NOW SINCE 2O21 SEASON TO END HIS CONTINUED FILLING OFF LEGACY.... FOR LEBRON WILL SHUTTING DOWN BY THE LEAGUE.... AND IM 99.1% SURE....
Mane lebron could be just like Minh are Kobe he proved that n this vid but he don’t want to be that he just wanna be a pass then shoot player nothing wrong wit that
Stop with that Skip Bayless pic, ruined the video
Giannis has yet to do what Lebron did. Lebron won mvp in the regular and postseason.
MJ in the playoffs had 8 50 pt games, 63 Boston 1986, 50 Cleveland 1988, 55 Cleveland 1988, 50 Cleveland 1989, 56 Miami 1992, 54 NY 1993, 55 Phoenix 1993, 56 Washington 1997. Lebron has what? One 50 pt game in the playoffs? And this is "arguably" the best? Get the F outta here.
Scoring is one facet of the game.
@@wavyplayboi777 So what are you saying. MJ has no weaknesses and is a defensive stopper and player of the year with 9 years all D first team, can pass and rebound too, just not as good as lebron.
DJay B22 True, MJ is a better defender but only like a tier above due to lebron’s ability to mostly guard each position, and he had become a better shooter than MJ ever was (other than midrange but lebron has a killer middy game too)
I believe MJ is the greatest of all time still but you cant say he isn’t arguably, meaning a strong case for, one of the GOAT’s, and 45/15/5 (on 19/26 of mostly jumpers) is dominant especially on a go big or go home situation
Just speakin facts
Yeah cuz he passes goofy
@@djayb2259 What elite scorer did MJ stop? He only had scrubs at his position besides Clyde and Reggie. His defense is overrated, because he was stopping scrubs in perhaps the weakest position of the 90's.
