I can almost imperceptibly taste bitrex. It’s not as potent as the sensitivity test or when I purposely compromise the fit. Does some of the aerosol still make it through the filter?
It shouldn’t get through the filters I would think…the issue I have with the bitters is that once I have the sensitivity level bitter taste in my mouth, I can’t stop tasting it for a while, even after washing it out with water. So for me, I almost have to separate out my sensitivity test and my actual fit test if I were to use bitter solution for it. Otherwise I wouldn’t ever be sure I wasn’t tasting from a leak.
@@nursingeducation3952 aah brilliant! Yes you are right I did the sensitivity test just prior. Then i ate some chocolate and waited 20 minutes. I will try again today.
Can i still use day old bitrex test soln still in the nebulizer or should i crack open another ampule?

What's the purpose of this test?
To confirm the mask the person is wearing properly fits and is sealed against the persons face. To ensure proper protection using the mask.
What’s in the salutation?
it's called "the rainbow passage" you can google it. its a very strange passage, that I think they must have written specifically to make the testee move their mouth a particular way to make certain sounds.
"Rainbow Passage" can also be found in 29 CFR 1910.134 Appendix A.
