This is all so fascinating!!!! I wish I could work backstage in a place like this....just to see behind the curtains, you know? Just to watch how they prepare all the magic that we see and feel!!! I watched you in Thessaloniki this January! You broke my heart in the best sense. Love you and love this!!!
I've always thought one of the crummiest strokes of luck would be to come down with a bad cough when you have (probably long looked-forward to) tickets to Phantom (or any type of theater), and to find out that the actors actually TALK about you backstage if that happens....?! Lol Now I'm really paranoid! ;)
All the Phantom's lines before the mirror are pre-recorded, as is the majority if not all of the title song. It takes the magic out a tiny bit, but is totally understandable when performing every night. The first half of Phantom Of The Opera is definitely recorded as The Phantom and Christine are backstage sorting out the boat, then Christines singing those high tones is also recorded.
Michael Deeks Really???I wouldn't believe that. It's an epic musical living on stage,so I believe the actors do have ability to completely finish title song flawlessly.(especially those Christine's high notes, which is the most remarkable part of that song).Furthermore ,they didn't do it everyday. As far as I know ,there are at least three alternative Christine,so I don't think the leading actress would not have enough time to rest. Just my opinion
梁維友 It's not that the actors aren't capable, it's just needed. Again, they have two doubles of each character in stage during the title song as the main actors are preparing for the boat reveal. The mics pick up everything, they can't have them on during this moment. It's not me just guessing, it's just how it is by actual fact. As for Christine's high notes; they have stand-bys and swings, but they don't alternate that often as the main actress is there to be the main actress. It would be impossible to hit those high notes every night without doing some real damage to the actors vocal chords. It's all part of the backstage production to bring such a great show to life almost every day of the week.
Ismene Edecaste but it was him behind the mirror. There must be a special path to get behind the mirror. And also, everything was dark outside the dressing room set so we can’t really see him sneaking in

梁維友 she was singing the duet with meg
How does he get from the wings to the mirror in the dressing room so fast
did you see the double they tried to hide from us as they went down the stairs? I'm guessing something like that..

Rw🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭
Why couldn't they show those men putting on the masks?
Because those are the body doubles and they want to make it seem like he got to the other side of the stage super fast
We love a king George
