One of my absolute favourites. The part where it switches to blue at the end and she collects the crowd energy and roars it back, I love that. They all seemed like they were having such a good time together.
Love to see the pure joy enlightening your face on this reaction :) that's the effect Nightwish have on pure-hearted people. Thank you. I'm happy I didn't slept to this late hour, because I watched this.
I love Emppu. He may not be as technical as some of the so-called guitar gods, but he can play guitar as if the instrument itself has emotions. He shows that you don't need to trash the guitar for a great solo. And when we talk about stage presence we usually talk about Floor, but Emppu plays a very big part on stage too.
I completely agree. There are touches of a blues style in his playing that reminds me of the original 'slow-hand' Paul Kossoff in the band Free from many years ago. Checkout their 'Fire and Water' if you don't know the band.
He has always been a major player on stage. When the power chords come in hes there moving with his music. His playful fun antics always make me smile and he plays very technically. He may not play speedmetal but his precision is fantastic, and he plays as hard as any guitar god Ive seen. And Ive been to over 200 metal shows since 1979 when I first saw Black Sabbath.
@@warhammer5690 Ofcourse he's very good, don't get me wrong... But for instance when you check his solo on Romanticide Wacken 2013, his left hand fingers are just too slow to keep up with the beat.
Great reaction again Kelly, you’re on a wonderful journey and you’re reacting to some absolute classics...am very much enjoying your channel...so much fun. Thankyou for your efforts... Nightwish make us all smile 🤘
If you enjoy Tuomas' poetry, I'd suggest you react to the band he formed with his wife Johanna and Troy the multi-instrumentalist of Nightwish. The band is named Auri, and the song is called The Space Between. I think you will like it. ^_^
They have a lot of fun with this one. I hope they bring it on the next tour with them. I'd love to see them perform it live in person. Of course they'll have new songs from the new album to play too. Hmmm, I could come up with at least 4-5 I'd really love to see them perform from the EFMB album. We may just have to petition them to do a 4 hour set so they can get all the best ones in. 😂😂🤘👍💯
Great reaction, Kelly. You paused for the second time on the line that would have had real meaning for you when Floor sings "Turn every poet loose", but like you said, you didn't know what was coming. No matter. I especially like the quick shot of Floor going into beast mode near the end. The band was really feeling it too.
If I had known what was coming, I would have never paused "turn every poet loose".... lol.... awe darn. I don't like pausing, but it's part of the reaction/commentary and that's a good thing! Alan, I could see and feel the band having a lot of fun for this one. It transferred to the audience. Yay!
This is such a great song! Highly underrated, though. I think it's one of the best duets of Marco and Floor. The title actually refers to Stephen King's novel "Wolves of the Calla". 7 days to the wolves = 7 days before the wolves come.
I'd have to agree. This song seems to me it should be right up there with some of the more listened to songs of theirs. Yes, the singing is amazing. Thanks for the info regarding title. I always enjoy any kind of backstory, helps me learn more about them.
Tuomas has said this song owes a lot to Stephen King's Dark Tower book series part 5: Wolves of the Calla. He's a huge fan of Mr. King as I'm as well! We both have read every book of him. They are making a TV series of this story right now and it would be so great if they would use this song on it - it would fit in it so perfectly! Yeah, but that's not the case what will happen... Another great thing is that there's some Finnish actor on it too, Jasper Pääkkönen, playing the most important role (after the Gunslinger, Roland Dechain, of course!) as a Man in Black, Walter/Marten/Crimson King. He's known from Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman and from TV series Vikings. I can't wait to see this Dark Tower series - and I'm pretty sure neither can Tuomas. Thanks again reacting to NW! It's so wonderful to see someone who's so excited to this kind of musical and storytelling art. Keep them coming!
And he likes E. A. Poe, of course - the founder of the horror genre. And I am positive that there are certain similarities between Poe´s poems and Tuomas´ lyrics in the way they approach them and words they use.
Tuomas likes reading. When he reads he hears music in his head. For instance he has said that he had to write his solo Scrooge album because music was so loud when he was reading those Scrooge stories.
Empuu always has a smile on his face. But the vibe of fun you're seeing is partly because this is their first time playing Wembley arena, and it's a massive milestone for them. They even had Professor Richard Dawkins come out on stage and recite passages from his work for them.
I had to get used to that song, but now I love it too, there is alsoo an acoustic rendition of "Edema Ruh"live abourd the "Nightwish Cruise"on the "Baltic Princess, Troy, Marko and Floor and Kai or their acoustic cover of the song "Alone" by the band "Heart" on the same Baltic Princess" 😎🐱👤👌
Nightwish "My Church of choice!".. Something I learned from Eddie and The Cruisers - a caesura, he explained that it meant "a timely pause, kind of a strategic silence." Nightwish do it so well! 9:09 Floor's face!!!!
Hi Damien, yeah, the strategy of silence is extremely powerful, even if for 1 count or beat... it gets noticed!!! I had super fun with this song, laughing at my own neck surgeries too..... I'd literally die if I twirled my head like they do.... I have so much joy watching them!!!!
@@KellyDeaconKDzJOY You are so right that it gets noticed. The same applies to when Floor was standing motionless with a neutral facial expression while speak-singing in that monotone staccato fashion in The Greatest Show on Earth and it just draws attention.

That smile on Tuomas´ face as she is about to get the crowd go completely wild. He said that it is impossible for him not to join in when Floor starts headbanging. Then she is channeling the primeval wolfish beast. It is also noteworthy that Floor wrote the majority of lyrics for her former projects, but they are very different from those of Tuomas. She is now just enjoying the ride as a vocalist and nothing else.
