The 'Red Baron' wasn't infamous - either during the war or after. When he was shot down, the British gave him a funeral with full military honors.

@@WmPryor1 yeah some people use the word “infamous” instead of “famous” without appreciating the opposing connotations they have…

Out of all the Germans in this video. I think Albert Kesselring he looked after his men and a Soldier to the end. 👌🇩🇪🏴‍☠️🥇

I always wondered why the Luftwaffe's field marshals weren't known as air marshals. The rank should have been "Generalluftmarschall" or "Generalflugmarschall" instead of "Generalfeldmarschall".

Erhart Milch took command of the Stalingrad airlift in its latter stage in January, 1943.

So WW1 Von Richthofen was ‘infamous’. You failed to elaborate on this unique and fresh revelation almost a hundred and ten years after his death in combat. Just what did he do that nobody else had known about?

Milch's father was Jewish. It wasn't just a rumor. A subordinate of Kesselring took the hit for the war crimes that he approved of and was hung. Unfortunately, some of the Allied generals -especially British- were fanboys of certain German generals. This was the case with Kesselring.

Why was the Red Baron "infamous"? Besides, this video suggests that FM von Richthofen approach to air combat led to the failure to supply Stalingrad by air, when in fact he opposed Goering's stupid promise to do it.
