This song makes me feel like Aperture Sciemce is closer to what the combine is than what humanity is, and when you think about it, its kinda true. Trapping humans, seeing life as disposable, everything grandiously mechanical. Yup

@@haydenbenson994 I'm pretty sure they're just sciency lights. You can find a very high resolution of the album cover on Portal 2: Desolation's Twitter, and to me, it doesn't look like anything.
The whole facility Is basically a living thing so seeing it "catch" people wouldn't be too weird

Literally everything about this, the trailer, the environments, the music, EVERYTHING is saying that Black Mesa and Aperture Science merged. I know she has a robotic eye but that has the be part of the HEV suit's systems.

Potential Energy is the energy that is stored in an object due to its position relative to some zero position.
An object possesses gravitational potential energy if it is positioned at a height above (or below) the zero height.
Kinetic Energy of an object is the energy that it possesses due to its motion.

Which relates to the nature of Aerial Faith Plates in the test chamber since they need to calculate how hard they must boost a subject of a certain mass, cancelling out their original velocity, in such a way that they would reach a specific height and fall down onto a specific location.
You could also say that the calm parts of the song represents Potential Energy as it is a constant effect while the louder parts represents the pulse of Kinetic Energy provided by the Aerial Faith Plates.
