I played guitar when I was a student. I was broke, could not afford books, or lessons. Gave up after five years. Had flirt with it again about 16 years ago and stopped. Now about two months ago I have been going back to it more. This world of the internet and videos, makes a HUGE difference. I can watch this video and ten minutes later I am playing it. Never done scales before, so if you ever read this and have not done so the solo would be great. I watched you supernova video and besides needing to work up the strength to bend on the Acoustic I have that song nailed. Thanks for posting these. This time around I might get decently proficient at playing, or at the very least have a good bank of songs to play. I try to select the songs that will work the best with my awful voice, what I might do seeing as I live in China and having guitar lessons might be a bit tough with the language is take singing lessons, Well thanks again.

A year ago my guitar teacher left the school i was at and i didnt learn anythimg from them but i learnt smoke on the water from you and a lot more then i finally stuck to guitar and now i can play chords on the new one i have gotten and i can play all sorts thanks to you ypu are awesome keep it up

For beginner's you're one of the best. The name of you're channel fullfill itself. Espevially the tab's/chord-diagram you show make's it easier to follow. You have not to guess how to play, you should not have to google the chord ... your video's give this all. You're explanation makes it nearly perfect - much more better than other's that wanna sell their books and courses like marty, jason and co.
But there's one thing i miss. Guess what? ;) ELECTRIC guitar lesson's. But keep on! You're great and thank's a lot.

If you play the D/F# with the pinkie on the 2nd string you have the ringfinger free for the G5 and don't have to make the rapid switch ... I find it a little easier that way
