But the fun fact comes in now. The same warming like on Earth happens on all planets in our solar system simultaniously. Fascinating isn't it?

Venus is so hot due to the EXACT SAME greenhouse effect that drives climate change on Earth. It's just that Venus' atmosphere has a far more extreme greenhouse effect due to being almost entirely made up of greenhouse gasses.

I also always state the climate is changing, but it does that in both directions and the reason for this changes have many causes but CO2 is non of them.
Fun fact: he's actually right about temperature rising BEFORE CO2. He's just wrong about why.
CO2 dissolves in water. The colder the water, the more CO2 can saturate it.
So temperature rises a bit, the oceans release some CO2, and that causes a feedback loop that dumps LOADS of CO2 into the atmosphere while pushing temperatures up higher as a result.

@@Robiness OK so water basically traps co2. The colder the water, the more co2 it can trap. When the water heats up, it releases some co2 into the air, which heats up the atmosphere, which heats up the water, which releases more co2 into the air, etc

The first graph is entirely misleading because he starts at a statistical anomaly at the end of a hot period in the Middle Ages - i think hes trying to show no correlation between greenhouse gases and temperature - for this we need much longer time scales for which the correlation is exact
Imho more important: He also scaled the CO2 concentration in a way that it's more or less flat. Just take a closer look and you can see lots of similarities between its curve and the temperature curve. That's such a cheap way of tinkering your data. It even says "corrected by McIntyre". So they don't even hide that they were changing the scale to make the curves fit their narrative.

This is why we need peer review, and it's also why these bad actors have to use massive conspiracies about the scientists themselves to try and discredit the peer review process so that they can paint their data as on par to to the plethora of peer reviewed data that agrees on the subject.
The fact that one of the lines doesn't even continue all the way to the edge of the graph is really all you need to toss the thing in the garbage because you know it was made in bad faith.

It lost most of its atmosphere density and can no longer hold heat as well. Same reason Venus is hotter than mercury. Mercury’s atmosphere is nearly just a vacuum, while Venus’s is DUMMY thick.
@Rory Fitz Even taking that into account it’s still got more carbon dioxide per volume. It’s only 100 times thinner than Earth’s but almost entirely carbon dioxide. Earth now has 420 ppm carbon dioxide and would have to have close to 10,000 ppm carbon dioxide to have the same carbon dioxide density as Mars. It’s the oxygen in Earth’s atmosphere, specifically the ozone, that keeps us warm, primarily through converting UV radiation into heat.

This is because the initial burst of heat releases co2 from the oceans and other sources, which starts a feedback loop leading to more temp rise.
It works both ways, heat creates co2 *and* co2 creates heat
