You know, it’s pretty telling when Heidi Neutral Closet, one of the most popular alums in the show up to this point, is so stressed out by the goings on that she pulls a Melissa BeFierce and quits. She was probably THE most requested to come back on All-Stars due to being the breakout star of Season 12. And you’d THINK the Neutral Closet be one that production would want to push because of that. But for her to get repeatedly shafted is mind-boggling to me. And it was sad to see her drop like that, especially after apparently spending a lot of money to prep for this season.
I wouldn’t say she was repeatedly shafted. She did well and was in the top for episode 2. They gave her her flowers. Episode 3 she definitely should’ve been in the top but to start to threaten ti quit after that and say they don’t see you after one week, after you are JUST in the top the week prior seemed bratty to me.
I agree, hiedi should have definitely won the episode as the news anchor and the team episode with lala and Kahana. They were so freakin funny, and heidi fully transformed for that episode. They definitely did her dirty. My top 5 was jimbo, Heidi, Jessica, Lala and James....
The fact that so many queens did not care about NDAs will trigger changes for All Stars and possibly the regular season. But it says a lot when there was more drama outside the show involving production than whatever was for the season.
To make it worse for production, not only do the queens not care about NDAs, but seeing that nothing happens when they break them will only prompt more of them to break them 😂

They’re far more likely to just blacklist from future WOW events and productions than sue. Might even tell event groups closely related to WOW to not invite them. I’m sure this is only for the truly egregious ones. So bummed we’ll never see Willam again still 😔
It still saddens me so much that Kasha didn't make it further this season. I have been waiting for YEARS to see her back our on screens, and it's just such a shame she didn't get further.
Here to point out something that I feel is not said enough, which is just how goddamn GORGEOUS Alexis looked this season. Her makeup? Flawless. Her runways? Beautiful. The glow up? Unreal. She deserves more credit. The bitch looked RADIANT the whole season.

I think the biggest issue with All Stars is that the producers have essentially ran in into the ground. If they had waited every 2-3 years in between all stars seasons, more fans would be receptive to it. It’s to the point where they’re getting queens on who’ve already competed on All Stars. It’s essentially lost it’s excitement factor cuz the producers have milked it dry at this point
I don't think they necessarily ran it into the ground, I think people are just sick of it because every year it feels more and more like there is a set agenda for what has to happen on the season and there is nothing the queens can do to change that.
The format just doesn’t work. We’re not really watching Drag Race anymore, we’re watching Big Brother where production is the HoH every week. Drag Race is not (or should not be at least) a social strategy game, it should be a merit based talent show but they’ve turned it into the beast they have. Imagine if on Project Runway they had the designers eliminate each other or Glow Up the MUAs. That’d just beat the purpose of those shows, which is exactly what Drag Race has done.
People don’t think it’s being ran into the ground, they just hate when production has a set agenda of who they want to win and the judges not critiquing fairly and consistently. It sucks that the queens can’t act nor behave organically without production sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong. And this is largely due in part of the fans, queens can’t really be themselves without the fans throwing a massive cataclysm of hate towards *ANY* queen who dares to say something snippy or snide. Even a queen that shows that she’s living her best life and feeling her best self is marked for ridicule and bullying by the fandom.
@@handsoaphandsoap i disagree. yes WOW is pretending they're producing a competition but for some reason, they're somewhere in the middle between meritocracy and big brother/survivor/etc. they should lean into one or the other. decreasing the whole talent aspect of AS7 would've made for GREAT tv imo. imagine if they let the queens steal stars, earn stars for (seemingly) random things, make themselves eliminate each other for top 4 or something, or if they gave more power to the plunger etc. (imagine how stressed out the queens would've been a la AS2). after all, WOW's agenda was to produce a "feel good" "everyone's a winner" season and they still ROYALLY fked up, like why not just make everyone understand this is a fun game, like we are ENTERTAINING ppl. the queens obvi carried and made a great season but still
All this season proved to me is the immense stress production & the fan base put these Queens through. All the talk of quitting, tears, and arguments. I know it’s work to them & reality TV is often embellished, but man if you can’t even hide how miserable your “employees” are you have to rethink how you do things.

By letting the queens go about their way and production not picking who they want at the top by the time they make the calls it would be easier and more authentic. Let the girls do their thing judge what they present and move along. But production loves picking faves.

I feel like I need to say this: the fact that multiple contestants wanted to quit or had ‘no fight left in them’ is genuinely horrible. The levels of stress on a television set should not be allowed to reach the levels they have on RPDR.

@@thedallasryan no I would still give her the SNL one, since all they had to come up with was characterization and delivery. The lines were all pre-written. So IMO she had the best characterization and took a different route to portray a bimbo character, leaving room for Jessica to play the more classic counterpart. Jimbo and Kasha did the best in the SNL challenge. In my opinion she could have been just high on the trailers challenge if they were judged individually, with Heidi winning. But her win wasn't too far off imo. I would give her the win for the design challenge because her outfit was well made, fully realized, best concept and a nice merge of Trixie's and her own aesthetic.
The reality is. From week two it’s obvious they wanted a Kandy and Jimbo top two. Therefore, when Kandy sucked in certain weeks (which she did), it was virtually ignored.
I knew that was going to be the top 2 from the moment I saw the cast regardless of how well everyone else did, which is why it killed like half of my excitement for the entire season even before it started.

I agree... Kandy didn't offer much more than drama this season. I thought she was the worst in the rusical but she won (had no expression on her face), and won the makeover by elimination because the others were bad. But hers was also luke warm at best.

Yes, the episodes are heavily edited, but you can't edit out someone's bottom placement and make it look like they were safe/high because you would need to reshoot to place a different queen in their place in the bottom...? Not to mention the fact multiple queens have said she was placed high during critiques, so it wasn't something that was manipulated in post production after Heidi & Kahanna threatened to quit. So the editing to protect her began right then, not afterwards? Because has it occurred to you the queens would have sent her home on that episode if she had been in the bottom? Because she said she wanted to go and the queens said she did the worst? So did production bring her back and call other queens back to reshoot a different version of the episode? Baby?
They wanted her to be the cute cinamon bun so airing her ugly meltdown on ep.1 wouldn't have worked but the queens saw everything that happened backstage anyway which led to her unanimous elimination on ep.6.

What I would've done for the Fame Games twist (to make it "fairer"): After Jaymes and LaLa win the lip-sync, I would've given them the option to pick between a $10k tip or 10,000 votes gifted to them for the fame games.
The 10,000 votes wouldn’t have worked due to the poor programming of their voting system, since fans could make up fake email addresses to put as many votes as they wanted at the time.

I don’t even agree with this. It’s just putting even more emphasis on the runways. I want better DIFFERENT challenges and queens who can stand their own without pushed through by production. I don’t want a regular season where nobody gets eliminated and the emphasis is on the runways.

That's the only thing the queens need money for prior to going and the runways are 50% of the whole show basically of course they wanna emphasize them. Honestly, this was a Boring season FOR ME because it was super obvious they were gonna rig a lot of stuff for Jimbo. With how much of a fan favorite she was i wouldnt be surprised they pulled a chad/Alaska situation as to make an all stars season for them to get a crown.

Kandy makes the kind of reality tv that is very much not fun to me. Fake, mean spirited, and only apologetic when they realize they hurt someone’s very real feelings or gets their feelings hurt themselves. Sending hate is wacko behavior, but disliking her is totally understandable.
I loved her season 13 drama, and I thought she was actually funny. But throwing two girls under the bus (Heidi bc she didn't know that Kandy started shit, and Alexis bc she said yes but then no bc Jimbo told Alexis, not Heidi or Kandy), Making Heidi leave (that whole thing played a factor and was the last straw) and allowing Alexis to take all the backlash just because you were bored is wild and gross to me
I totally agree, what a lot of people call “good tv”, is the thing about drag race that I can’t stand. It’s not only super fake, but also it makes competitions unfair as producers would favour someone who makes “good tv” over someone who genuinely brings more to the table in terms of talent, integrity, artistry and versatility. Kandy is a prime example here, her “good tv” made producers carry her to top 2 both seasons she was in. She’s been saved from the bottom over more deserving queens (Tina Burner, Kahanna Montrese, Tamisha Iman) - She’s “won” 3 challenges in her 2 seasons. Honestly I think Gottmick won the roast, and Lala won the Rusical. The only challenge I agree with was the makeover challenge. - She lost a challenge and a lip sync, but got to stay cos “good tv”. Deserving contestants get robbed of the chance to display their talent, and we get robbed of the opportunity to see some real art out there.

People are triggered by my crying as well and project their own feelings/emotions onto my personal experience, and I saw that a lot in Alexis. The only issue I had with the Heidi and Kandy situation was kandy was begging Heidi to stay and get in a positive mindset but her actions were put pushed Heidi over the edge
Kandy gaslit Heidi. Even after the show, they had an atgument backstage where Kandy said she never lied during All Stars and Heidi argue with her because she obviously did. Kandy is that girl that says she “says it like it is” etc but then tries to lie and use semantics to not get “in trouble”. Poor Heidi felt like everyone turned on her for a good 5 min at least and everything was silent. So she dipped.
Heidi already went through this, and she said they barked about the situation and Kandy admitted to it while they both talked it over. But on Roscoes, Kandy *and* Jimbo already set the stage for that whole debacle when Kandy approached Jimbo that she was bored. Behind the scenes there was nothing going on and it was generally quite quiet on set while filming, so Jimbo complied with Kandy that they wanted to shake things up a bit. The only difference was that Heidi wasn’t aware of what Jimbo and Kandy were up to. Heidi also explained that although that situation didn’t help with the way that she felt, at Roscoes she said that she wasn’t in the right headspace during the filming of All Stars 8, one being that she assumed that the format was going to be like All Winners, the other is that their was massive turmoil within her family. That being the backbone of her family-her grandmother had passed away, and her brother pulling a gun out on their uncle. It was very apparent that Heidi wasn’t entirely herself when Ru brought up Heidi’s grandmothers passing in the one on one. Heidi clearly wasn’t ready to confront it nor address it. So I didn’t understand why Ru brought it up in the first place. Heidi said she probably would have left regardless and that she doesn’t hold any ill will towards any of the girls in that moment.

When you go through what Heidi went through, Drag Race feels like a paradise because it’s something to take your mind of what’s happening at home. If her first experience was one of the best moments of her life, she felt that going back meant it will put her in a better place from her situation at home and that wasn’t what happened. Idk why fans keep blaming Kandy and Alexis for no reason when Heidi kept confirming it wasn’t the girls fault
Alexis should've won the musical challenge. She had the most difficult job and performed it flawlessly. Her runway was one of the best of the night. What could she have done better?
Honestly my favourite moment of Lala vs Jaymes was when Lala did gravity defying dance moves and Jaymes cut off her toes and forced Jessica to eat them, and the Lala became Satan and ate everyone and won the season ❤
I don’t know where this idea of Heidi having a different story coming from. She told Jimbo that Kandy said something along the lines of “you know we’re going to have to take her out right?” Kandy has admitted to saying this in a video with Jimbo. She even admitted to saying it twice like Heidi said. What Heidi said was straight up true. Point blank, period.

very excited for the video. i have to say though, i think the moment jimbo was announced it was clear to me that this is a season made for jimbo to win. the others never stood a chance at winning, and not bc they are bad. quite the contrary I think there were so many talented queens on this cast. Like heidi, jessica, kasha davis, lala ri, alexis, jaymes... edit: also damn i'd be pissed too if i was naysha but honestly i would have refused if i was her. bc if you are someone that is cast two weeks before filming begins, probably bc they didn't have enough queens or bc someone dropped, then most likely they didn't care about the previous queen and won't be caring about naysha who is coming as an alternative. it's just you know there will be no storyline, no saving, pushing or anything. and that's why girl did have to leave after the second episode. that and her having not enough time to truly assemble something great. bc honestly naysha is probably one of the most beautiful queens imo, so her runways could have been jawdropping.
Heidi’s Net gala look was a look she would lip sync in and her original look was another butterfly look so she didn’t want a Butterfly gate like the kimono gate in S8 so that’s why she wore that look for the Jet gala runway

Do I like the decisions Kandy and Alexis made during the season? No. Am I going to act like who they are on tv is who they are in real life? No. Am I going to send them death threats and call them slurs? Absolutely not!!! There are too many viewers who don’t realize they can separate the reality tv persona from the real person.

I am baffled how Kandy got to the final AGAIN, she didn’t have one memorable episode or moment. That’s the true RIGGORY. (The Rusical was a decent Moment, but she surely shouldn’t have got to the final based on ONE okay performance). What about the fact she was high for the ball?!
Jessica and Jimbo skit on Episode 2 was gold. Kasha enhanced the skit, NOT overshadowed it. And that’s per the advice they received before the skit and the critiques and the runway. I Do NOT understand why this is difficult to accept for people. Jimbo ate this episode, end of story.
I also think that the best way to do the Fame Games is each week, after the episode, they open the voting for like 2 days (saturday and sunday) so we can vote for the best look, and then close the voting until the next week. I think it would be more fair, because if we wait until the end, a lot of thing can come into consideration, but if we’re voting each week, it’s more just based on that week
I think the fact that Jessica needed so much fan support to be considered for All Stars, and needed a run like this on this season for production to take her seriously, speaks to a lingering bias against queens who don't speak English as a first language. Her run on season 2 was so good, she had a challenge win, and honestly a somewhat dubious elimination against Tatianna, who was The Drama on a season with multiple the dramas. Jessica really is and always has been the kind of top tier Drag Race contestant of the sort that made up the casts of All Stars 1 and 2, and for some reason only production couldn't see it, for reasons that I'm sure I have no idea what they could possibly be.

I wasn't surprised Heidi went home cause imagine bringing these stunning looks and be safe 2 times over Lala and then doing the best in SNL challenge and again being safe. I’m definitely a casual fan, I have sat down and watched every season but I just don’t have the time of energy to keep up with the extra stuff, so a video like this is SO HELPFUL!
I’m just gonna be honest here. The fame games was the most unorganised, biased mess of a twist I’ve ever seen. Lots of love and props to the queens, but to me (very much just MY opinions so pls don’t come for me 😭), Kahanna deserved to win. I understand the critique that her silhouettes were repetitive and it was just a lot of her body…. But come on- you can’t justify another person winning this. She didn’t have a single bad look on the season, and she truly might have had one of my favourite runway packages (along w Shea, love them both). The effort, money and time that went into perfecting those looks were insane and all of them came out perfect. Like the detail: The hair on her snow bunny look was 🤌 and her costum shoe for the A$$ the world turns… not to mention the detail and creativity on that banana look for the ball???? I love Lala and she is truly is one of the best performance queens to come out on the season, but mama… those looks were not it. Just by looking at the ball or her Ruly fans look 💀 I don’t get why production wanted to meddle with the votes. Plus, that must have been SO biased. I get why people were upset at Jessica’s elimination or why James was a fan favourite, but it was made rly obv that fans could vote for whoever they wanted to and that would be that. You can’t justify giving Lala queen of the fame games over Kahanna if it was based just on looks. Not to mention I preferred Naysha’s, Darienne’s, and Alexis’ packages as a whole. Ik it’s not the queens fault at all so please don’t send hate, but I just wanted to point out the blatant manipulation behind the scenes. And finally, massive props to Kandy and Naysha for standing up for themselves and production.

I love Kandy. Shes so sweet and chill off camera. I think she said in one of her videos with Trixie that she gives production this character they want which is smart. Just doesn't paint her in the best light to the highly volatile drag race fandom and we all know how they can get.
Thanks for taking such a strong stance about comments about Kandy. It was disgusting to see thread after thread on social media turn into a Kandy hate thread and that's just not okay. The fans want the drama and strategy/less predictable results until they get it. Only if it doesn't affect their favourites in the competition.

Yeah, swap Kandy and LaLa for Heidi and Kahanna in the top that episode (especially if they have one of them win) and it all looks a lot less rigged. I think Kandy and LaLa's placements were fine, I mostly just wanted to see Heidi and Kahanna get their flowers that episode.
My problem with Kandy is the dirty tactics she used to get to the finale... Her fighting and cracking/gaslighting Alexis Michelle every time they fought for a role rubbed me the wrong way. If Alexis managed to get the role they fought for at least once Kandy would have been sent home way earlier....

A notable example was jinkx vs detox’s lipsync back on s5 where they changed the song to something that jinkx could actually do good at in order for her to stay over detox
Even though Kandy’s hate is too much. She is not innocent, she knew what she was Doing, she hurt a friend. If she wants to ve a villain be that. But be Real about it. That is why tiffany new York and Megan from i love money were so loved. They were the “villains” of their shows but they knew how to play the game and never pretended to be anything else. If she wants to be the villain and “liked” take responsability of your actions. Do not deny what happened. We All are humans and make mistakes.

I’m sorry but the girls did Jaymes dirty (not necessarily by eliminating her) by holding a grudge against her for something the judges decided. Sure she had her moment but c’mon Alexis was fake crying every episode and borderline harassing LaLa and now none of the girls care about that. I feel like that + the fact they didn’t like her winning the Talent Show is all some girls (Naysha) hold against her because if there was anything else, they would’ve spilled bc they have already spilled more secretive things anyway.
So, I have some of the tea about the Darienne Lake and Mrs. Kasha Davis story, or lack thereof, and this comes from one of their Rochester sisters. Essentially, Darienne chose to not associate with Kasha during the filming of this series. Also, in the 3rd episode when both of them were in the bottom, part of Kasha's "pleading" was cut off. She mentioned how, for Darienne, this is all she really had. She doesn't have a significant other, no pets, nothing other than drag. That leads into what we see.

I honestly don't know why anyone on a regular allstars would hope for a s7 format. It was tailored to be something special for queens who already won lmao
for me, this was the season of jessica, kahanna and lala. love these girls now even more than i loved. jimbo deserved to win but the editing failed to build well her path to the crown. kasha and darienne are the ones who must return again in the future cause they deserved better.
This may be controversial, but I voted in the Fame Games with the unfair multiplier in mind. Of my 10 votes, I gave 3 each to Kasha, Darienne, and Jessica and the last vote to Lala. I specifically only gave Lala 1 instead of 3 because I knew her multiplier would make it 3 anyways. So I effectively made it that I was giving 3 votes to the 4 queens I was torn between. The multiplier was stupid, so I mathed my way around it. As for what exactly I was voting for, I genuinely didn't know if I was supposed to be voting based on runway or performance or personality or what, hence why I was torn between those 4 queens.
Am I the only person who didn’t really enjoy Jimbo’s Snatch Game? I know that’s not my kind of humor so that’s probably it, it just feels like everyone is treating it like the greatest thing in the world when it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong, Jimbo is one of the most talented and unique queens I’ve ever seen, but I just thought Alexis and Jaymes were funnier.
"learn to have some fun..." but what Kandy did in episode 5 wasn't fun hehe haha drama, it was mean spirited. Heidi was obviously struggling in general in the competition setting, she had just gotten into a fight with Kahanna, Kandy intentionally picked the worst moment possible to address the issue. it felt like she was kicking Heidi while she was down, AFTER she had been kicked already. so it's just strange to be so dismissive of people who have a problem with how she was acting. like "just giving production what they want" is a weird justification for being actually hurtful.
I was confused to why are they trying to mess up Kandi last lip sync when it's clear Jimbo is the winner and it's justifiable but what I think is they didn't want another Monet exchange and jink moment again
I liked Jimbo on the Canada season, but he is over exposed now. Also, it seems a lot of his "creativity" is just having a lot of money to pay people to be creative for him. I don't really seem it for him anymore.
Finale: Studying this episode back, I feel for Kandy... They really did not take her seriously at all; meanwhile, Kandy was so happy n such a great friend towards Jimbo.... my heart melted watching Kandy be honest w themselves instead of the Kandy character. Really changed my mind on them... The actual crowning is where I feel for Kandy, when they were sitting in that room together waiting for the announcement... She played a good poker face and truly loves Jimbo!
Their social media posts about each other before the finale were just very sweet and I can see they just not wanting to eliminate each other for that reason. Really liked their Roscoe's episode, too.
I'm a somewhat casual fan 😆 you and Jack are basically the only Drag Race content I consume outside of the show itself. So this helped the season make more sense lol

You know, it’s pretty telling when Heidi Neutral Closet, one of the most popular alums in the show up to this point, is so stressed out by the goings on that she pulls a Melissa BeFierce and quits. She was probably THE most requested to come back on All-Stars due to being the breakout star of Season 12. And you’d THINK the Neutral Closet be one that production would want to push because of that. But for her to get repeatedly shafted is mind-boggling to me. And it was sad to see her drop like that, especially after apparently spending a lot of money to prep for this season.

I think the biggest issue with All Stars is that the producers have essentially ran in into the ground. If they had waited every 2-3 years in between all stars seasons, more fans would be receptive to it. It’s to the point where they’re getting queens on who’ve already competed on All Stars. It’s essentially lost it’s excitement factor cuz the producers have milked it dry at this point
I don't think they necessarily ran it into the ground, I think people are just sick of it because every year it feels more and more like there is a set agenda for what has to happen on the season and there is nothing the queens can do to change that.
The format just doesn’t work. We’re not really watching Drag Race anymore, we’re watching Big Brother where production is the HoH every week. Drag Race is not (or should not be at least) a social strategy game, it should be a merit based talent show but they’ve turned it into the beast they have. Imagine if on Project Runway they had the designers eliminate each other or Glow Up the MUAs. That’d just beat the purpose of those shows, which is exactly what Drag Race has done.
People don’t think it’s being ran into the ground, they just hate when production has a set agenda of who they want to win and the judges not critiquing fairly and consistently. It sucks that the queens can’t act nor behave organically without production sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong. And this is largely due in part of the fans, queens can’t really be themselves without the fans throwing a massive cataclysm of hate towards *ANY* queen who dares to say something snippy or snide. Even a queen that shows that she’s living her best life and feeling her best self is marked for ridicule and bullying by the fandom.

So IMO she had the best characterization and took a different route to portray a bimbo character, leaving room for Jessica to play the more classic counterpart. Jimbo and Kasha did the best in the SNL challenge.
In my opinion she could have been just high on the trailers challenge if they were judged individually, with Heidi winning. But her win wasn't too far off imo.
I would give her the win for the design challenge because her outfit was well made, fully realized, best concept and a nice merge of Trixie's and her own aesthetic.
The reality is. From week two it’s obvious they wanted a Kandy and Jimbo top two. Therefore, when Kandy sucked in certain weeks (which she did), it was virtually ignored.

I totally agree, what a lot of people call “good tv”, is the thing about drag race that I can’t stand. It’s not only super fake, but also it makes competitions unfair as producers would favour someone who makes “good tv” over someone who genuinely brings more to the table in terms of talent, integrity, artistry and versatility.
Kandy is a prime example here, her “good tv” made producers carry her to top 2 both seasons she was in.
She’s been saved from the bottom over more deserving queens (Tina Burner, Kahanna Montrese, Tamisha Iman)
- She’s “won” 3 challenges in her 2 seasons. Honestly I think Gottmick won the roast, and Lala won the Rusical. The only challenge I agree with was the makeover challenge.
- She lost a challenge and a lip sync, but got to stay cos “good tv”.
Deserving contestants get robbed of the chance to display their talent, and we get robbed of the opportunity to see some real art out there.

The only issue I had with the Heidi and Kandy situation was kandy was begging Heidi to stay and get in a positive mindset but her actions were put pushed Heidi over the edge
Kandy gaslit Heidi. Even after the show, they had an atgument backstage where Kandy said she never lied during All Stars and Heidi argue with her because she obviously did. Kandy is that girl that says she “says it like it is” etc but then tries to lie and use semantics to not get “in trouble”. Poor Heidi felt like everyone turned on her for a good 5 min at least and everything was silent. So she dipped.

Heidi already went through this, and she said they barked about the situation and Kandy admitted to it while they both talked it over. But on Roscoes, Kandy *and* Jimbo already set the stage for that whole debacle when Kandy approached Jimbo that she was bored. Behind the scenes there was nothing going on and it was generally quite quiet on set while filming, so Jimbo complied with Kandy that they wanted to shake things up a bit. The only difference was that Heidi wasn’t aware of what Jimbo and Kandy were up to.
Heidi also explained that although that situation didn’t help with the way that she felt, at Roscoes she said that she wasn’t in the right headspace during the filming of All Stars 8, one being that she assumed that the format was going to be like All Winners, the other is that their was massive turmoil within her family. That being the backbone of her family-her grandmother had passed away, and her brother pulling a gun out on their uncle.
It was very apparent that Heidi wasn’t entirely herself when Ru brought up Heidi’s grandmothers passing in the one on one. Heidi clearly wasn’t ready to confront it nor address it. So I didn’t understand why Ru brought it up in the first place.
Heidi said she probably would have left regardless and that she doesn’t hold any ill will towards any of the girls in that moment.

When you go through what Heidi went through, Drag Race feels like a paradise because it’s something to take your mind of what’s happening at home. If her first experience was one of the best moments of her life, she felt that going back meant it will put her in a better place from her situation at home and that wasn’t what happened. Idk why fans keep blaming Kandy and Alexis for no reason when Heidi kept confirming it wasn’t the girls fault

Honestly my favourite moment of Lala vs Jaymes was when Lala did gravity defying dance moves and Jaymes cut off her toes and forced Jessica to eat them, and the Lala became Satan and ate everyone and won the season ❤

Jessica and Jimbo skit on Episode 2 was gold. Kasha enhanced the skit, NOT overshadowed it. And that’s per the advice they received before the skit and the critiques and the runway. I Do NOT understand why this is difficult to accept for people. Jimbo ate this episode, end of story.
I also think that the best way to do the Fame Games is each week, after the episode, they open the voting for like 2 days (saturday and sunday) so we can vote for the best look, and then close the voting until the next week. I think it would be more fair, because if we wait until the end, a lot of thing can come into consideration, but if we’re voting each week, it’s more just based on that week
I think the fact that Jessica needed so much fan support to be considered for All Stars, and needed a run like this on this season for production to take her seriously, speaks to a lingering bias against queens who don't speak English as a first language. Her run on season 2 was so good, she had a challenge win, and honestly a somewhat dubious elimination against Tatianna, who was The Drama on a season with multiple the dramas. Jessica really is and always has been the kind of top tier Drag Race contestant of the sort that made up the casts of All Stars 1 and 2, and for some reason only production couldn't see it, for reasons that I'm sure I have no idea what they could possibly be.

I’m definitely a casual fan, I have sat down and watched every season but I just don’t have the time of energy to keep up with the extra stuff, so a video like this is SO HELPFUL!
I’m just gonna be honest here. The fame games was the most unorganised, biased mess of a twist I’ve ever seen. Lots of love and props to the queens, but to me (very much just MY opinions so pls don’t come for me 😭), Kahanna deserved to win. I understand the critique that her silhouettes were repetitive and it was just a lot of her body…. But come on- you can’t justify another person winning this. She didn’t have a single bad look on the season, and she truly might have had one of my favourite runway packages (along w Shea, love them both). The effort, money and time that went into perfecting those looks were insane and all of them came out perfect. Like the detail: The hair on her snow bunny look was 🤌 and her costum shoe for the A$$ the world turns… not to mention the detail and creativity on that banana look for the ball???? I love Lala and she is truly is one of the best performance queens to come out on the season, but mama… those looks were not it. Just by looking at the ball or her Ruly fans look 💀 I don’t get why production wanted to meddle with the votes. Plus, that must have been SO biased. I get why people were upset at Jessica’s elimination or why James was a fan favourite, but it was made rly obv that fans could vote for whoever they wanted to and that would be that. You can’t justify giving Lala queen of the fame games over Kahanna if it was based just on looks. Not to mention I preferred Naysha’s, Darienne’s, and Alexis’ packages as a whole. Ik it’s not the queens fault at all so please don’t send hate, but I just wanted to point out the blatant manipulation behind the scenes. And finally, massive props to Kandy and Naysha for standing up for themselves and production.

I love Kandy. Shes so sweet and chill off camera. I think she said in one of her videos with Trixie that she gives production this character they want which is smart. Just doesn't paint her in the best light to the highly volatile drag race fandom and we all know how they can get.
Thanks for taking such a strong stance about comments about Kandy. It was disgusting to see thread after thread on social media turn into a Kandy hate thread and that's just not okay. The fans want the drama and strategy/less predictable results until they get it. Only if it doesn't affect their favourites in the competition.

I think Kandy and LaLa's placements were fine, I mostly just wanted to see Heidi and Kahanna get their flowers that episode.
My problem with Kandy is the dirty tactics she used to get to the finale... Her fighting and cracking/gaslighting Alexis Michelle every time they fought for a role rubbed me the wrong way. If Alexis managed to get the role they fought for at least once Kandy would have been sent home way earlier....

They were the “villains” of their shows but they knew how to play the game and never pretended to be anything else. If she wants to be the villain and “liked” take responsability of your actions. Alexis Michelle is great tv. Plus, her red gown in the finale is one of the best dresses to grace the main stage ever. It was a thing of beauty.

I’m sorry but the girls did Jaymes dirty (not necessarily by eliminating her) by holding a grudge against her for something the judges decided. Sure she had her moment but c’mon Alexis was fake crying every episode and borderline harassing LaLa and now none of the girls care about that.

So, I have some of the tea about the Darienne Lake and Mrs. Kasha Davis story, or lack thereof, and this comes from one of their Rochester sisters. Essentially, Darienne chose to not associate with Kasha during the filming of this series. Also, in the 3rd episode when both of them were in the bottom, part of Kasha's "pleading" was cut off. She mentioned how, for Darienne, this is all she really had. She doesn't have a significant other, no pets, nothing other than drag. That leads into what we see.

for me, this was the season of jessica, kahanna and lala. love these girls now even more than i loved. jimbo deserved to win but the editing failed to build well her path to the crown. kasha and darienne are the ones who must return again in the future cause they deserved better.
This may be controversial, but I voted in the Fame Games with the unfair multiplier in mind. Of my 10 votes, I gave 3 each to Kasha, Darienne, and Jessica and the last vote to Lala. I specifically only gave Lala 1 instead of 3 because I knew her multiplier would make it 3 anyways. So I effectively made it that I was giving 3 votes to the 4 queens I was torn between. The multiplier was stupid, so I mathed my way around it. As for what exactly I was voting for, I genuinely didn't know if I was supposed to be voting based on runway or performance or personality or what, hence why I was torn between those 4 queens.

Am I the only person who didn’t really enjoy Jimbo’s Snatch Game? I know that’s not my kind of humor so that’s probably it, it just feels like everyone is treating it like the greatest thing in the world when it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong, Jimbo is one of the most talented and unique queens I’ve ever seen, but I just thought Alexis and Jaymes were funnier.
"learn to have some fun..." but what Kandy did in episode 5 wasn't fun hehe haha drama, it was mean spirited. Heidi was obviously struggling in general in the competition setting, she had just gotten into a fight with Kahanna, Kandy intentionally picked the worst moment possible to address the issue. it felt like she was kicking Heidi while she was down, AFTER she had been kicked already. so it's just strange to be so dismissive of people who have a problem with how she was acting. like "just giving production what they want" is a weird justification for being actually hurtful.

I liked Jimbo on the Canada season, but he is over exposed now. Also, it seems a lot of his "creativity" is just having a lot of money to pay people to be creative for him. I don't really seem it for him anymore.
Finale: Studying this episode back, I feel for Kandy... They really did not take her seriously at all; meanwhile, Kandy was so happy n such a great friend towards Jimbo.... my heart melted watching Kandy be honest w themselves instead of the Kandy character. Really changed my mind on them... The actual crowning is where I feel for Kandy, when they were sitting in that room together waiting for the announcement... She played a good poker face and truly loves Jimbo!
Their social media posts about each other before the finale were just very sweet and I can see they just not wanting to eliminate each other for that reason. Really liked their Roscoe's episode, too.
I'm a somewhat casual fan 😆 you and Jack are basically the only Drag Race content I consume outside of the show itself. So this helped the season make more sense lol

Kahana's part was not super funny but it was better than Kandy's that was just playing Kandy. I love Kandy and she was my second favourite to win S13 but any other queen who passed two seasons playing herself on acting and improv challenges would not get the same treatment
Another tea that I heard was that during Kahan talent show number when she did her backflip a production member named Mandy yelled no that's why when kahana did her backflip it looks like she stumbled apparently, Khanna got into a big argument with that production member
