Never heard of these guys, yet I'm seeing them with Amon Amarth tonight. Decided to give 'em a listen, and I'm hooked. Never heard thrash & black metal blended together quite like this - absolutely legendary
Goatwhore is a perfect amalgamation of everything I love about heavy music. Who knew throwing some soilent green into an acid bath would create such auditory bliss.
Got to see them back in 205or 06. It was a small venue that was perfect. There couldn’t have been 200 people in the crowd. I had never heard of them before. There were a bunch of crappy bands that opened. The big band on the bill was 1439. I left a Goatwhore fan 4 life! They caught my ear within seconds. Just slayed it!

Vengeful Ascension is the best GW album I've heard since carving out the eyes of god. Gonna catch em live tomorrow night in Cheyenne WY, Aug 23rd. Two years to the day they put this beast out. Cant wait! Know I won't be disappointed! \m/

Goatwhore is an underrated band. The group mixes thrash, black, death, punk and rock like no one's business.

i almost got chills hearing the spoken part. it reminded me of parts from eclipse into ages of black. i wish ben did that more often.

I just saw them for the fourth time Monday as they supported Amon Amarth. Their Pensacola show then was sold the HELL out, and deservedly so.
Partied with them at Legion of Devine Punishment band members house in Memphis.. Back in the late 90's. Fuck I'm getting old.
