I just moved to Royse City! The traffic can be hectic but that is the case for all new upcoming areas. If anything, is not as bad as other new areas that dont have much going on. I live the area and the ceiling is high how much is it will improve. I just hope they keep growing the right way.
Royse City is like the town you’ve driven through on a road trip or business trip that you know you’re gonna run out of gas before you get somewhere bigger so you buy the overpriced gas and buy some overpriced snacks and you never think about the place ever again. I have passed through many towns like this on my way somewhere else, and I have encountered countless Roy cities along the way. But more specifically, the cops are overzealous, this town has an actually known reputation as a speed trap. There is absolutely nothing to do in this town. The people are not friendly and I have been here since 2001 and I have given up on making a single friend here. I could go on, but I honestly cannot think of a single good reason to move to this town. And I’m being honest. Anybody that says much different for what I’ve written is lying to you. I’m from this area and I know it like the back of my hand.
Wow, sounds like you’ve had quite a few experiences in Royse City! I totally get how small towns can sometimes feel like just a pit stop, especially when you’re just passing through. 😅 Do you think things would improve if the town had more activities or community events? What kind of changes would make it a place worth considering?

So true! I think the experience will be radically different (even better) in about 3-5 years as the infrastructure catches up.
