Excellent video! I really like your efficiency and style sense and truly appreciated the "Regret" video. I'm always curious about what people would have done differently AFTER a trip. Thank you for the information!
I really enjoyed this follow up video! Learning how to pack light is a process and I find it essential after every trip to evaluate what worked and what didn’t. I was shocked what a mess my hair was after the first time I showered in Paris. When it happened again the next day, my husband suggested buying some shampoo there. I bought an inexpensive bottle of shampoo and that did the trick. So now I just buy shampoo at our destination when we go to Europe.
I was in Italy last summer and it was so hot. My back was so sweaty carrying my back pack but I loved the convenience of having it. Linen was the way to go. I love silk but in that hot weather I’d of sweat through it immediately. I agree, the less the better. I had a cotton gauze dress and skirt and both performed well.
Yes! I just watched the packing video and I was thinking that there was way too much of everything. I have been traveling for years (to warm countries) with long clothes on me when traveling (long linen pants etc) and in my backpack I only have athletic shorts and denim shorts, and two tops. one bikini. couple pairs of underwear. sneakers on, and sandals in bag. I don't have soap, shampoo etc with me, there is always stuff like that in the hotel or I can buy. don't carry liquids. lighter is always better.
Linen is excellent and I like to pack a white linen shirt as well as an ivory linen vest. That being said, dark bottoms and dark tshirts (black and grey) colors are a must. I also take a black merino wool 1/4 zip pull over. I always pack for “quick and comfy”so when I want to collapse in my hotel room and relax, I have the apparel to do so. I include my packable rain jacket and one dress that can transition from day to night.
Great job! I watched the previous video and wanted to point out all the things you did but you caught it. One thing I would add though is please don’t use a money belt as a sling - it makes you look even more obviously a tourist. The bag you didn’t use was actually the better option in blending in as an invisible tourist. But yeah, thanks for making these!
Thankyou! I am about to try to finalize my packing for 35 days with a backpack. I appreciate the reminder to pack light. I am planning to take two wool& dresses and two tops, one linen long sleeve. I was planning to take my icebreaker hoodie, now I wonder. I wasn’t going to bring the one linen pants I own, but now I’m tempted. They just fold up bigger and heavier than the synthetic pair I planned.
Really enjoyed the capsule photos & your tips re linen! And re weight - we just doensized from 37 L to 26 L underseat bags. I am aiming for one bag travel, but we flat pack a second bag (either a PC sized cross body or the 13 L Kånkens) to bring home as personal item for things we buy - but we are usually visiting family & we usually are flying international so we get the 2 bags on the plane with us, and we usually are not hopping lots of crowded trains etc…. Happy travels & looking forward to more videos! ☺️
I am also in Seattle, and I feel Seattle/WA is most dry place that I have been lol. Very useful info! We are traveling to Spain in April and I was debating if I should take fancy shoes. You answered my question!
Yeah I think that is the way you're supposed to wear it, I was just too hot and my clothes too tight to do that. I will definitely wear it under my clothes when I go to Paris in a couple weeks
How much did your bag weigh packed? I have to take a lot of meds for long trip and what I own really so makes it much harder. I never found any mosquito repellant even deet that works except in Sri Lanka and cant remember name of it. Such a problem for me. Cant figure why other people seem to be ok re bites!❤

Thanks for doing a follow up! So many people don’t close the loop for viewers.

If you have the space for the linen pants, I'd recommend them. But it is up to what you prefer wearing. Have a wonderful trip!

Great!!! Thank you!
I wear my money belt below my waist, under clothes, not as a cross body; I also have an RFID blocking wallet that I clip to my bra
