- Our last van life experience in Iceland left us braving a blizzard! I am blown away with how amazing our trip to this beautiful country was - from getting to do our first river crossings, to spending hours soaking in natural hot springs, to breathtaking hikes, we really got to do it all. Thank you for joining us for all the different adventures. I hope you feel like you got a real taste for off-roading over the course of the last few videos.
This beast is named "Gregor," and we got the opportunity to test him out for two weeks in Iceland thanks to Lou's cousin Tim and his wife Rike, who had him built by the pros at ORC. Where were you when you got into blizzard? Iceland is special, sometimes snow is coming in some areas even in summer and you always need to be prepared for the worst. You did nice videous...and BTW, great car.

Next time park your car with ars against wind that way you will avoid any potential mishaps with engine etc....And the rules having decent 4x4 is to help others who stuck not left them alone as that is just selfish.

Wild Camping: That's not true. Two friends of mine just cycled through Iceland and only remote camped.
Sean McClintock: You are allowed to Camp on a hike or when you are on a bike but not when you have a vehicle around.

All things aside I just can't believe how beautiful and cute you are! You're husband is a lucky man
A little snow and wind @8:54,,, this is why most sane ppl living permanently in these climates prefer permanent cabins,,, well, I dunno much about Iceland, but at least here in Norway we "camp" indoors while the central Europeans normally have this affinity for "a outdoor hell" (i never understood,,, if u wanna live close to nature u should stay under a tarp or max a tent),,, why this difference? most places in inland Norway have lower temp due to continental effect, and we have (or used to have) real winters with real cold temps,,, eg, last week 1 m snow came in one day in North Norway) ,,, besides, "camping" in cabins is also more environmentally friendly,,, Iceland and Norway seldom seldom (0.2 and 2%, respectively) uses dinosaur juice for power while also the wood in house construction is also a renewable resource,,, so scrap all this 4wd travelling with behemoth diesel trucks
