This is honestly such a good way to describe it. Just because I love a game doesn't mean I'll watch anyone play it, but if I love a streamer then I'll probably watch anything they play

35:12 it does feel contradictory when an animal seems to be inviting attention and then gets mad when you give it, but I think it's just difference in communication, expectations, comfort, and intention. An animal coming to be near you, rubbing against you, etc. does not always mean they want you to do anything with them. It's like if you sat down next to someone and started a conversation and they suddenly reached out to hold your hand, or you go to hug someone and they kiss you--that's an escalation in interaction beyond what you wanted and are comfortable with. Some animals just have different ways of interacting and communicating and different comfort levels. This doesn't make them jerks or anything, any more than someone who is not a hugger is. Just with people, animals can give and retract their consent to an action/interaction/situation at any time. I've had to learn a LOT with my dog. I think he previously lived in an environment where his boundaries were crossed a lot and he learned he had to protect his space and stuff. He has issues with space and doesn't trust people to leave him alone when he's resting so he'll vocalize a warning "don't bother me, don't bother me, please don't bother me." Some times he'll realize nothing will happen and will settle. Other times, he can't relax so I put him in his crate with the cover closed so he has privacy and security for his nap. He's even learned to ask for me to put him in (he won't go in himself). I've learned than him coming up and curling up next to me is NOT an invitation to touch him or give him attention. He just wants to be near me, and that's it. He'll tell me if he wants more than that. People regularly make their animals uncomfortable without realizing it. I've seen viral videos of people doing something to their dog and being completely oblivious to the body language that is showing stress, nervousness, discomfort, or appeasement (which dogs will do to show they're not a threat and would like for the person to stop what they're doing). I find it very upsetting to see. Not a criticism about what J&J said, just explaining what I think when I hear this. Hope it makes sense, I'm having bad brain fog.

When I was little my family would gather and the older half of us would play left 4 dead while the younger half would all pick a buddy to just spectate and I always loved it :) I don’t always like playing games myself it takes more emotional and mental energy than I’m willing to put forth, but just watching removes the pressure and still allows for bonding around a shared interest :) That’s generally what I tell people when they’re confused why I like watching these game streams. That seems to make more sense to them
To Jacob and Julia. Do you ever sit back and marvel amongst yourselves how beautiful your life is. Of course this is coming from an outside perspective. I can see the struggles behind the screen. But I see so many beautiful moments between you. Jacobs doing music and Julia is learning slowly to take it easy. I really hope for a calm new year for you both
And Lo, I forgot I had this tab open as well as my own YT channel, so Jacob's song came to me as if from beyond the pale. "Yo, what's up," the song said, "maybe chill out for a bit. Take a deep breath and have a cup of tea, maybe."

My favourite part about this game universe is you buy games to sell for double or more the price, but you can buy individual units from the supplier and they’re all walking distance from your store.
part of my job is to catch shoplifters at the comicbook store i work at and man if i had a bat...
Hope this Jacob Andrews doesn’t shut down the channel if they keep using his music.
I've watched this at least three times now, and each time, Julia's irritated "I'm like a child, or a tree" makes me burst into laughter.
Getting Explosions in the Sky vibes from that intro, absolutely loved it!!!
When I was little my family would gather and the older half of us would play left 4 dead while the younger half would all pick a buddy to just spectate and I always loved it :) I don’t always like playing games myself it takes more emotional and mental energy than I’m willing to put forth, but just watching removes the pressure and still allows for bonding around a shared interest :)
That’s generally what I tell people when they’re confused why I like watching these game streams. That seems to make more sense to them
Bonus? I get to experience new games through the lens of people who make it way funnier cause they’re just funny
I really hope for a calm new year for you both
Jacob does such good vibey music. Like Pure Moods but with more of a specific character to it
As a writer in marketing, Jacob calling out CTA vs advertisement scratches the happy part of my brain
jacob's sephiwoth soupbroth story is actually amazing i hope every ffxiv player's mission is to become a good cryptid
And Lo, I forgot I had this tab open as well as my own YT channel, so Jacob's song came to me as if from beyond the pale. "Yo, what's up," the song said, "maybe chill out for a bit. Take a deep breath and have a cup of tea, maybe."
56:27 straight for the high-end puzz!
SephiwothSoupBroth is the greatest RP move I've heard.
1:04:39 I can't stop rewinding to this part, it just puts a smile on my face 😊
i bet literally all of these old people, who simply cannot comprehend watching someone gaming, all watch sport
