If the cover was off you could hear if the spark generator was working. It could have been that. Common fault and a £15 part. If it doesn't fire up 3 times it locks out. How many PCB's have been changed in error.

I had this issue today, ignition issue. Pcb wants sending 240 to spark generator. Looks like he has same issue as it’s not sparking.

Had same problem, mine was a easy fix ....blockage in the condensate pipe.
