Looking forward to the upcoming vlogs my dude. Really, really, REALLY no need to 3 bet the A,10 and A,9 suited, especially that early into your session. You're risking 1/5th of your stack in hopes of flopping a flush draw?? With a 3 bet that big and numerous callers, when the A hits you have to assume your most likely out-kicked. If your 1st to act and check your just inviting late position player to bet large and you are forced to fold. If you decide to lead and get raised or called you have to shut down on turn unless you bink 2 pair. In other words your pretty much just giving away $$$. But hey im no professional and also play super tight. I play $1/2 and usually can only afford to buy in for like $180-$200 with no add on/re buy $$ (Times are tough rn lol).....so no thats a play i would never make to begin with. I just find playing an Ace with a weak kicker tough so i usually just fold unless suited and can see a flop for a reasonable price. Im a New England poker player (MGM Springfield) so obviously theres a rake, but i think almost $60 table time plus $10 "membership" to be quite expensive lol😂😂
Your explanation of how time rake works is good, but you missed the main point: games are better here than in other places, because Texas is just better.
Dukey; The A-Q suited call is a solid play unless you know the raiser is incapable of 4 betting with less than aces, kings or queens or ace-king. I watch many poker vloggers and almost all of them schill for an online poker site. It is total BS if they’re ripping your videos down but allowing all the other vloggers to do it…
14:40 I bet you could have gone even bigger, maybe $120. Villain is suuuuper capped and I imagine the loose nature of Texas would get you some more value
8:30 Im not a huge fan of nut-hunting with AQs here against a player who you identify as one to literally never 4-bet bluff. If he"s literally only 4-betting AA, KK, and a spattering of AK and QQ, all these hands have you absolutely crushed. You're going to put in a ton of brutal spots if you call. (You even mentioned queen high flops being tough -- this is exactly correct). My thought is why would you call with a hand like AQs that is just dominated so frequently? Id rather have a hand like 78s that isn't dominated and is much easier to play postflop, but even then I'm likely just letting it go.
The explanation on the rake system was nice. I always hear that games are looser in texas but never explained why
Thank you! Glad I could be helpful!
Also really enjoyed it. Liked the looser AQ call.
Many of the Texas poker rooms are now allowing you to add on to your time using chips, so it's taking chips off the table.

Welcome to Texas. Can't wait to see the rest of the series.
Thank you! The Lodge coming next!
Been waiting for another video
Good to see you back
Thank you man! hopefully you enjoyed!

When was this filmed? I think I’m in the first cut inside the building sitting seat 7 😂

13:15 Im a little confused. Why is opening a pair in the CO loose? That seems quite standard to me.
7.5x open raise size makes things a little wonky, especially when you’re more likely to go multiway than you are to get folds
@ParkerTGeorge That is a pretty standard open size here in TX. 1/2 plays more like 2/5 elsewhere.
“72 off?”
“Yeah yeah yeah. Pure fold.”
“Damn bro. I guess I’ll give it a try!”
😂😂😂
Such a difficult concept to wrap my head around, but I haven’t lost chucks with 72
Quality content 👍
Thank you Dac!
@1:21 😂😂😂 beautiful
Haha
Great out takes 😂
Haha thank you !
Thanks for explaining that about texas...live in az come play some time
Of course!
Oh man! The forbidden Vlog was really great. I'm sorry they took it down.
Thank you Mrs. Q!
I think AQ suited was either a 5 bet jam or a fold - see you at the Lodge!
Thanks for the feedback! Next video will be 1/2 at the Lodge!
@@DukeyBets agreed, arent deep enough to call her oop. too many boards you have to x/f
Its always been loose games in texas, houston has some of the best games
Try TCH social in Austin, I play there frequently and it has pretty good action

Next vlog…!
Dramatic reenactment on those last few hands?! 🙏🏻

That is a large 1/2 game. Guess things are bigger in Texas.
Waist and hem lines.

hey i was the super aroused player when you had A10! i had 72! nice fold loser! fun playing with you great vlog
Wow that’s super unfortunate. Nice bluff and great table talk.

Nobody at Texas rooms cares if you pay for anything with chips in play - time, food, drinks, tips, prop bets.
I asked if I could pay for my time with chips and they said no, actually.
why would someone fold the best hand in poker 72o
I have no clue…
nice play
Thank you!

No sir!
good video. I like the low 1-2 stakes. But, the intro and outro were a little too long.
fair enough, I had a good time making that intro tho
If they snap you then your sizing was bad. Fold or call. You want them to have to think about it. That's how you know you bet just the right amount
I totally agree, thanks for the feedback!

Liked the looser AQ call and explanation of why Texas plays bigger.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
I don’t love the hourly play system I feel like I’d rather the house have a rake😂
Because you’re a losing player
I think its def better to pay time in the long run
@@DukeyBets ya think? No money is coming off the table, how can this even be something to debate about?
@@rapjazz199 Money definitely comes off the table unless you aren’t tipping the dealers. Time game is way better than standard rake.
@@stevemoore3951 ya that’s true, however, it’s not gonna be anywhere near the amount of money that most casinos rake per hour on a 1/2 table.
$57 in time is an odd number
slightly less than 4 hours
@DukeyBets never been in a room in Texas that allows you to pay like that. It's either 30 or 60 minute intervals
Folding 7/2 is blasphemy. JQ knows nothing
I agree. Kid is such a moron.
I would've jammed all in AQ of spades
I think versus this specific player, we are never ahead with AQss
You don’t compute dealer tips in your formula ? Most card rooms in Texas have the dealers getting the majority of their $$ in tips.
I certainly tip the dealer (as you should). The "Out for," amount includes all the money tipped off my stack as well.
I think my hot n spicy is delicious
what does that mean?
@DukeyBets you told me what I was thinking
Shuffle is kinda meh. Action way better at TCH
