It's more simple than that. Vision didn't come back because he wasn't snapped away, he was manually killed. In the post credit, the pilot of the helicopter that crashed into the building was likely brought back safe and sound. Any passengers that weren't snapped, or people who died from the explosion of it hitting the building, they're all still dead.

I have to commend you for immediately recognizing that Thor's state in this movie is not a joke. So many people thought it was hilarious, but you were instantly able to see it for what it really was: depression. The nuances of his body language, dialogue, wardrobe, emotional turmoil, etc. can all be interpreted as funny, but at their core is a deep well of sadness, self-loathing, and feeling unworthy. Every time you (Ashleigh) told him he was worthy or responded to what he was saying AND meaning (i.e. the deeper levels of what was being communicated, not just the surface level "laugh") a part of my soul felt seen and healed. Thank you Ashleigh.

Yes. I saw this in theaters 7 times and everytime was a new crowd and the emotional expression from them was earthshaking. After the first Avengers I was so hyped to here it but it never happened. Then the second one they cut Cap off so you didn't hear it then either. Then I figured what they were doing and I think most did. So in this one when he said it, during that brief pause I swear to God every person in that theater took a deep breath. Then he uttered the final word and everyone lost their minds. The DCU has a long way to go before they reach that level of engagement. There will never be another Stan Lee.

The two things from Phase 4 that people would MOST want to see made available on the channel are WandaVision and Dr. Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness. Both stories center around Wanda's grief after losing Vision and her fully becoming Scarlet Witch. Elizabeth Olsen knocks it out of the park and each of the three main actors (Olsen, Bettany, and Hahn) received Emmy nominations.
Notes: 1) Each episode of WandaVision takes on popular tv sitcoms from different decades. You don't have to, but if you're unfamiliar, I would recommend watching one episode of I Love Lucy (1950s), Bewitched (1960s), Malcolm in the Middle (2000s), Modern Family and The Office (2010s) to prepare for those stylistic references. WV is a nine episode miniseries, so I would recommend breaking them up into two episode chunks and then leave the longer finale as its own reaction.
    2) In the X-Men series, Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and her brother Pietro (Quicksilver) are the mutant offspring of Magneto. This is not yet addressed in any of the films. The main movie order goes: X-Men, X2: United, X3: The Last Stand, X-Men: First Class (a prequel), then X-Men: Days of Future Past. For legal reasons, Wanda's brother, Pietro / Quicksilver was recast in the X-Men films. WandaVision references this change.
    3) Long ago, Marvel sold the film rights to different studios when they needed an influx of cash. Universal owns Hulk, Sony owns Spider-Man, and 20th Century Fox owns X-Men. Sony legally had to make a new Spider-Man movie every 10 years in order to retain the rights hence the different actors. When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, X-Men & MCU could finally be brought under one Marvel banner. This is also why Abbott Elementary (ABC) could use the X-Men costumes for Storm and Scarlet Witch in their S2 Halloween episode. ABC is a Disney subsidiary.
    4) EEAAO (2022, 7 Oscar wins) was released earlier in the same year as DS2: MOM and was generally regarded as the stronger, more daring multiverse film. Other popular multiversal films are: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018, animated, Oscar winner), Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021, featuring Maguire, Holland, and Garfield), and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023, animated sequel).

Thano's core reason for wiping out half instead of creating more (like infinite power, right?) he could have made the universe twice as big, ten times as big and rich in resources or a trillion times as big was not that he was short sighted or dumb, was that he was in love. (capitol letters LOVE) The Lady Death was his utter obsession. He was fascinated and in love with the metaphysical embodiment of the universal "Power/Reality/embodiment" of Death. She was one of his core drivers for why he chose to kill instead of create. He was in love with her, the 'Lady Death' and he wanted to impress her, make her notice and perhaps fall for him.

41:31 The enchantment for the axe is different from the hammer. You don't need to be "worthy" to lift the axe. You just need to possess the immense strength and willpower of gods and kings. You can have that incredible strength and willpower to lift the axe, but that doesn't necessarily make you "worthy" to lift the hammer. So Thanos can use the axe, but he probably can't use the hammer.
Being "worthy" seems to imply possessing incredible strength of character and moral values. Cap definitely has that, which explains his worthiness. And once he proves himself to be worthy, he is also granted the godly strength and powers of Thor, which means he can now also lift the axe. I hope that makes some kind of sense for you.

I wonder just how philosophical you can be with your Snap Guidelines. Like instead of saying "Kill 50% of all life in the universe" say "No organism will breed beyond the capabilities of it's biome to support it." That might be an ACTUAL humane, and EFFECTIVE way to solve the problem that Thanos saw. No clue how the stones would actually enact that wish though. I'd LIKE to think that it would simply make fertility not work during mating unless there was actual room for growth without straining the ecosystem of the planet in question. But his basic plan is utter shite, and completely ineffective by actual population growth standards.

Assuming we're at 8billion when the snap hits, we hit around 4billion globally in 1974. And I hate to break it to you, but we had resource crises issues back in 1974 as well. In the comics the story made a lot more sense. Thanos fell in love with the cosmic being Death, so he wanted to impress her by killing off half the universe and he needed the completed infinity gauntlet to accomplish it. Yes current Loki is dead. The avengers went back in time to get the stones But past Loki got the tesseract so he went to a different universe so future Loki things will be a multiverse version of Loki but he won't be in future 616 movies. I would recommend reacting to the MCU shows 'cause they aren't just random shows for information or small stuff like the One-Shots. They are basically movies but split into episodes 'cause the MCU is getting REALLY big and they can't everything into movies... and there are a LOT, I mean a LOT of BIG things there that we would love to see your reaction to.
You could do something like 2-3 Episodes per video, so it would drag too much.
But really consider recording the shows, 'cause there's A LOT of big stuff in them.

Some people work in paint and some in clay, we cursed creatively. My late grandparents were the Picasso's of cursing, even when complimenting others.
Also, there is an extra scene they filmed when filming the Tony and Peter hug, but he also kissed the side of his head. You can find it on line. I wish they'd kept that one in there, but I'm like you and am also just glad he got his hug he'd been wanting since Homecoming, and the "No, I'm just getting the door for you, not hugging you. We're not there yet". (*the hug was improvised by Tom Holland by the way 😃).
And I am just so happy you got to watch these Marvel movies we all love so much, and that you cared as much for the characters as we do. It's been a blast watching your reactions. If you have Disney+, please check out Wanda Vision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, the Hawkeye series, and if you find yourself still missing Tony and Natasha, go explore some fanfiction. You'd be amazed at how great some of these stories are. And if you are like me, just find some cool Tony and Peter stories, or stories where Tony lives, and Peter gets to know his little sister Morgan.
Thank you so much for listening to John (?) , or the person who convinced you to try this franchise out, because you may have influenced others to watch the movies, and for the rest of us that already loved the movies it's just been a great journey watching you react. 😄

I can’t be the only one who noticed a time travel contradiction. When they go back to get the Infinity Stones, it’s mentioned that they’re “on the clock”, but when Cap goes to return the stones and Mjölnir, he has “all the time he needs”. Strange

    • @Eidlones
      @Eidlones 3 месяца назад

When they go to get the stones, they can only do one trip. They each have a plan to get their respective stones, which would rely almost entirely on the place/time they went to. If they miss that window, their plan becomes useless, and getting the stones becomes much more difficult.
Cap bringing things back, he probly has multiple vials since Hank is back to make more serum, so he can make as many trips as he needs if he messes up. And if he runs out, he can come back and get more vials. There's no constraints.

Just in case enough people haven't already told you this and you didn't see this comment on the other video:
    Going forward in the MCU:
*I promise no spoilers here from me*
Spiderman: *Far From Home* is next. Please make sure it's _Far From Home_ and *not* No Way Home. You're probably going to be extra careful of not making another Spider-Man movie mistake, but just wanted to reiterate it.
After that, feel free to watch Black Widow with no more prerequisites!
Also Shang Chi and also Eternals (I haven't even watched this one yet and feel like I've not missed anything but maybe you'll still be asked to watch it by a patron, in any case you're caught up to watch it whenever.)
After this point, I highly, highly, highly recommend you start on the X-Men franchise (including the Deadpool movies) and really hope some patrons are going to see to that!!! You can start watching them at any time now and also be watching them concurrently with the above movies.
I also recommend seeing the Kick-Ass movies, or at least just the first one, but really not necessary at all...there would be some good amusement to come out of it is all.
It would also be good to familiarize yourself with the *Fantastic Four* franchise. Even though it's going to be a complete reboot as they enter then MCU, watching the 2005 film is a good introduction to get a general idea of who they are.
This is where you *need* to get into a some of the MCU series before going forward, but as far as I can tell, you only *really* need two of the series at this point and they are pretty short:
    *Wandavision* (9 Episodes)
You are not going to even _begin_ to understand what's going on until you're half way through, but don't look for any explanations until the show is good and ready to provide them, and it will take a while to do so. It will be a fun ride all through though!
    *Loki* (6 episodes)
I'm ready for a rewatch of this one myself, it is _really_ fun!
You should also watch the *Venom* movies here...not extremely necessary yet, but they eventually will be and at this point you are starting to go get references that connect to the larger MCU around it. So this is a good time to watch them.
Here I recommend the animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and I hope a patron chooses it. Not necessary but possibly helpful in explaining some things, but in any regard, a very fun movie!
But after that is *Spider-Man: No Way Home,* but you need to make sure to finish the Amazing Spider-Man movies first.
Be prepared for this to be an epic and powerful movie that rivals Endgame! This is another biggie for the MCU *and* the connected (but always threatening to separate) Sony Spider-verse.
Then you'll be ready for Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the movies that come after. Not everybody loved Dr. Strange 2, but I really, really did and think you will too!
So to put it all together a little more neatly, I recommend your MCU and MCU-adjacent schedule should look like this:
(Bold = *Must* watch to go forward)
    *Spider-Man: Far From Home*
X-Men movies (concurrently, not necessarily all at once)
    Deadpool movies
    Kick-Ass movies
    Fantastic Four (2005)
    *Black Widow*
*Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings*
    Marvel's Eternals
    *Wandavision*
    *Loki*
    Hawkeye (series)
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (series)
Daredevil (series, need to at least see the first season)
    Venom movies
    Spider-Man Into the Spider-verse
*The Amazing Spider-Man* (and refresh yourself on The Amazing Spider-Man 2)
    *Spider-Man: No Way Home*
*Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*
    *Thor: Love and Thunder*
    *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever*
    *Happy New Year Ashleigh!!!*
I wish you and yours the best in 2023!
